As Chris emerged from the dimensional bag, he was still overwhelmed by the experience. The impact of these extraordinary events was so immense that she struggled to accept them.
Without allowing him more time to process, Ivan introduced the burly man standing nearby, saying, "His name is Jiang Chen (General). He's from China and will serve as a temporary security guard for this amusement park. He is the bodyguard I've arranged for you, and when the time is right, I'll have him transferred to your side."
"Master Chris, please take care of me in the future." General actions exuded a particular confidence, instilling a sense of assurance.
As the General had originally been a zombie, memories from his human life had long faded. The current memory and character were fabricated by Ivan using the Reality Gem. General's distinctive personality and memory instilled a sense of reliability.
"Now that your mutant abilities have awakened, you will inevitably attract attention one day. There's a chance they might plot against you, subjecting you to human experiments. This is the tragedy of mutants.
Though you're still young, the day will come when you're noticed by others. Don't overestimate yourself, and don't devote too much energy to it. With Doraemon, you can ensure your safety. I've inscribed special magical runes onto Doraemon. These runes have a unique effect—anyone who sees them instinctively ignores their existence, turning them into your guardian.
General is your ace card. His strength is formidable and ranks at the top worldwide. I trust him to protect you. Regardless of the situation, prioritize your safety. This is crucial; remember it."
As Ivan uttered the last sentence, his expression turned serious. It was a matter of his son's safety. To drive the point home, Ivan intentionally released a fraction of his aura, pressing it upon Chris.
At that moment, Chris felt as though a mountain was bearing down on him, making it hard to breathe. It was the first time he experienced the might of his biological father and even felt a hint of fear. He nodded quickly, indicating his commitment to keeping his safety a priority.
Ivan then withdrew his power, confident that Chris would carry this message deep within, ensuring he wouldn't be subjected to experiments due to accidental discovery.
Chris believed the explanations were complete and began to relax, but Ivan surprised him again by pointing, conjuring a strange door out of thin air.
"This is a portable space door. The other side connects to the farm where I currently reside. You can reach me through this space door at any time in the future. In theory, as long as you're still on Earth, you can use this door to go there.
Making this type of portable space door is quite troublesome, and I've only made this one. Don't damage it. When using it, ensure Doraemon supervises to make sure there are no cameras or other surveillance devices that might discover it."
After introducing the space door, Ivan had Doraemon place it inside the dimensional bag. While Ivan seemed to value the portable space door highly, its primary purpose was to serve as an escape route for Chris in a true life-and-death crisis. However, this door couldn't be retracted from the other side. If faced with a situation necessitating its use, it could only be destroyed.
With the crucial information explained, Ivan relaxed and delved into more trivial matters with Chris. He asked about Ivan and Moira, and Ivan didn't hide the truth, stating that they remained hostile. While Ivan's actions might seem risky, it wasn't something anyone could criticize—they simply held different positions.
Though young, Chris had always been intelligent, forming his outlook on life and values. He didn't blame her father, and the two decided not to dwell on the topic, shifting to discuss other academic knowledge.
Ivan spent the entire day with Chris, engaging in conversations on a wide range of subjects. The interaction made Chris happy, and his personality became more lively. At times, he even joked with Ivan. Anyone who knew him would be amazed to see this side of Chris, who used to be self-proclaimed reticent.
Chris's past reluctance to speak wasn't entirely his fault. Other people couldn't engage in advanced discussions with him. Even his mother, Moira, shared the same issue. When both noticed the wall clock simultaneously, Moira would likely think about work hours, meal times, and bedtime.
For Chris, that moment might spark thoughts about knowledge of the time dimension, three-level, five-step time nesting control, and similar topics. Similarly, when they both saw a glass, Moira would consider rehydration and pour herself water, while Chris might ponder the transparency of the glass and speculate on the ratios of various materials used in its manufacturing.
Their thoughts were on entirely different channels, making conversation difficult. Over time, Chris's speech was likely considered nonsensical, leading him to stop talking altogether, leading others to believe he was unresponsive or even autistic.
As the evening approached, Ivan realized it was time for Chris to go home before Moira became worried about her son being missing.
He handed a unique blue card to Chris, saying, "This card grants you access to the amusement park at any time. I declare it as the ultimate reward for being the 100th customer after purchasing the amusement park. For the next three years, you can visit the amusement park anytime for free. Doraemon is also part of the prize. Moreover, you will be overlooked by others. As long as you behave in crowded places, no one will notice anything abnormal."
Chris took the card, carefully placed it in her pocket, and inquired, "Dad, you mentioned being a farmer now. Are there others on the farm besides you?"
"Of course, the farm has your two younger brothers and a housekeeper. Oh, I forgot to mention that one of the younger brothers is still a baby named Clark. His original planet was destroyed, and he was sent to Earth by his parents. I adopted him. The other one is named Kyle, two years younger than you... Well, two years younger, if you don't count the 20 years of sleeping."
Observing Ivan's hesitant expression, Chris became curious and pressed for details. Ivan quickly summarized Kyle's situation. After understanding the background, Chris looked at Ivan with disdain, "Dad, you're too tactless. You can't handle even one woman, and you're still a single dog. It's too embarrassing!"
Feeling like an arrow had struck him, Ivan retorted, "What's wrong with not having a wife? I just choose not to. If I want to, I can easily attract countless women."
"What's the use of having many women? They don't genuinely like you; they love your money and power. It's better not to have that kind of woman." For the first time, Chris saw his cheap dad wounded by his own words and continued to jab at the sore spot.
"Get out!"
Ivan finally couldn't take it and shouted, searching for something to throw. Startled, Chris retorted, "I have something to do, so I'll leave now," and dashed out as if his life depended on it. Before leaving, he added, "You're incompetent. I'm just stating the truth. Why are you so angry?"
Almost going berserk, Ivan couldn't help but smile bitterly, thinking that it was even more infuriating to hear these words from his son.
Though coming from anyone else, those words might not matter, but hearing them from his son deeply affected Ivan. He couldn't help but contemplate, "Maybe I need to find a wife."
As Chris's words had deeply affected Ivan, when he returned to the farm, his face remained somber, and he struggled to recover from the emotional blow. This unexpected change alarmed Kyle, Tina, Ghost, and even the pet Simba, who all displayed curiosity as they had never witnessed such an expression on Ivan's face.
Kyle hurriedly approached his father to inquire about what had happened. His father had left mysteriously for two days, and now he returned in such a state.
Upon learning that Ivan had a son outside and was affected by his son's words, Kyle and the others were initially stunned, but they couldn't help bursting into laughter when they realized that Ivan had been wounded by his son's remarks. The news of Ivan having a son outside and being teased by him was quite amusing, and Tina and the others found it entertaining enough to laugh about it for an entire year.
Ivan regretted sharing this information with them, but at least he felt fortunate that Kyle and the others did not show rejection towards Chris; instead, they were eager to meet this hardworking child who had been living outside.
The person who was the happiest about Chris's existence was Kyle. Although he had been content and happy under Ivan's guidance, having a lack of communication partners could lead to being considered autistic. Kyle had made many friends, especially mutants from Skull Island, but these mutants had peculiar abilities that fascinated Kyle; however, their intelligence was far inferior to his. Learning about having a brother who was as smart as him made Kyle thrilled, and he eagerly looked forward to meeting his half-brother.
Seeing Kyle's excitement, Ivan felt completely relieved. His biggest fear was the possibility of conflict between the two brothers, which would put him in a difficult position. Now that it was resolved perfectly, he felt a sense of relief.
Ivan had anticipated that Chris would arrive the next day, but Chris was more eager than he expected. At nine o'clock in the evening, a door in the basement suddenly opened, and Chris emerged. Ivan promptly received a call from the Red Queen's reminder, instructing him to go to the basement to pick up Chris.
Having understood the situation, Ivan realized that this was Chris's usual bedtime, so he locked the room where he slept and, with Doraemon's assistance, ensured that no one would discover his arrival. Thus, he could relax.
The farm suddenly buzzed with activity. Tina went to the kitchen to prepare a delightful supper for everyone and organized a small welcome party for Chris. Even Simba enjoyed a delicious meal. The only one left out was Ghost, as its essence as a soul meant it lacked human taste buds and couldn't savor the delicious food.
The welcome party was lively from beginning to end. Though it was the first meeting for Chris and the Kyle brothers, their interaction was quite amicable. The only point of contention arose when they playfully argued about who was the older brother and who was the younger brother, even considering a duel to settle the matter. Neither Ivan nor Tina intervened, viewing it as a friendly competition to strengthen their brotherly bond.
