Long long ago when the world was created by the greater gods. He created the mortal realm and made four gods to rule over the mortal realm but as the mortal population grew, the greater gods created more gods and goddesses as well. The four gods that were created first are called the ancient gods. The first hundred gods and goddesses were created from the power of the four ancient gods combined with the greater god, and they were known as the high gods and goddesses.
The Platform
Heaven and Earth platform; where high gods and bestow goddesses are born from, they are born even though they are not born from gods and goddesses but they are born from the magical power of the nine heavens. Since the creation of time there was yet to have been a single being to have asended from the Earth and Heaven platform
Earth platform; where the spirits and other beings ascended as gods and goddesses.
Heaven platform; where the mortal ascended as gods and goddesses will ascend to when they will appear when they ascend to the nine heaven realm.
This is the world pyramid
The Greater realm; is the place that the gods and goddesses go to after they die but since many gods and goddesses tend to live for a long time, they do not know what happens to them after they die.
Nine Heaven; is where all the ascended gods live and where the ancient gods govern nine heavens. Nine heaves are where the major gods would be after they ascend.
Heaven; is where the other lower gods and goddesses live and they also have a ruler to govern heaven; the ruler of heaven reports back to the rulers of the nine heavens. The mortals that manage to break through and achieve enough cultivation to become immortals also live in heaven.
The spirit realm; is where all the animals and other spirits, that had cultivated themselves and become immortals, their goal now is to cultivate to become gods or become their beasts.
Mortal realms; are where all human live, some humans cultivate themselves to become gods or immortals
Demon realms; is where the major demons live and oversee the Demon and hell's realm.
Hell's realm; is where the people who passed on, from the human realm go to be judged if they go to heaven or hell, the lesser demons live here and help with the departing mortals.
The position of the gods and goddess
The forefather; was the creator of the ancient gods but he died and went to the greater realm.
Ancient gods; are gods that were created when the world was created and thus they are the most powerful and oldest gods to have existed.
Ascend gods/goddesses; ascend gods could either be immortal that cultivated and ascended into gods or could be mortally cultivated and became a god as well.
Made gods/goddesses; as the name said they are made gods, from humans who had done only good deeds in their life or mortals that are born under a good star.
Born gods/goddesses; they are the children of the major gods and other gods
Bestow gods/goddesses; are mortals who are reborn as gods or goddesses and are as powerful as ancient gods.
Position of the court
Ancient gods; the four gods that govern the nine heavens together
Season goddess; the four goddesses who rule and oversee the four seasons and consider the four high goddess
Nine Heaven's immortal; those who have a position in the nine heaven's court.
Heaven's immortal; the major minister of heaven, takes order and help assist the
Earth's immortal; those who have positions in the mortal realm
Immortal assistants; the minor gods and goddesses that serve the other gods/goddess
Spirit Bond; is the bond between a beast or a spirit that helps the gods and goddesses in many different ways. One god/goddess can have more than one or two bonds.
Time difference
The time in the mortal realm and the time in the nine-heaven realm is not the same, one day in the mortal realm is but a few seconds in the nine-heaven realm. half an hour in the nine-heaven realm is a year in the mortal realm and a year in the nine-heaven realm equals about 20 years in the mortal realm.
Main character
Qing Mu is the oldest of the four ancient gods, he was made from the first drop of water collected by the forefather before the forefather created the earth for the mortal realm to live in, it was his power that gave the earth water. He is calm and gentle but he seldom talks but the time that he talks the most is when he is lecturing his brothers, especially Yuan Fen who is the youngest and loves to play.
Qing Mu's role in the nine heaven realm is the reports from the mortal, heaven, demon, and the attendant immortals. The affair of the nine-heaven realm is overlooked by him.
His spirit beast is a dragon, the youngest son of the East dragon king. The east dragon king respects Qing Mu and wanted his son to be closer to him, all the other dragon princes are busy with duties or married so he sent the youngest son. The dragon prince San Hai, started as the attendant of Qing Mu but later on, as Qing Mu see the improvement of the prince he accepted the prince as his spirit beast.
Bai Jue is the second oldest of the four ancient gods, unlike Qing Mu even though Bai Jue also seldom talks but has a gentle aura while Bai Jue has an intimidating one. Bai Jue was made from fire before creating the earth. Bai Jue was the fire that the forefather used to burn the earth; to harden it, it was with his power that created the sun. His looks are sharp and demeaning towards others.
Bai Jue's role in the nine-heaven realm he is the general of the nine heaven army and thus he is strict with himself and others as well.
His spirit bond is the sword that he was given by his forefather, after thousands of years the sword gained human form and became his bond. His bond doesn't take human form too often because he finds it to be tedious, since he could just be carried around by his master.
Tian Qi is the third god out of all the four ancient gods, he is in charge of teaching all the young gods and goddesses born in the mortal realm, he was made from the heavenly dirt of the nine heavens that was spilled to make the mortal realm. As well as making sure that all the immortal attendants are following the rules of the nine heaven palace as well as their conduct. He sometimes helps Qing Mu with the paperwork that's within the nine heavens and if Qing Mu is busy he would take care of it all.
In the Nine Heaven realm, his main role is to write the law of all the nine realms with the agreement of the other three gods. Even though he prefers to teach more since Bai Jue upholds the law better than he does anyway.
His spirit bond is a magical brush made millions of years ago, he dislikes his name Gun Dong which means scroll since he's a brush but because of that Tain Qi refused to change it or call him anything else because it was Tain Qi who made him and craved the name on the brush.
Yuan Feng is the youngest of the four ancient gods, since the forefather had created them he was the freest, but that could also be due to the fact that Yuan Feng was made from the first gust of wind in the mortal realm right after it was created.
Even though he is aloof, known as a player, and had broken many women's hearts but in reality that has never happened before. He just likes to drink, play, and have nothing to worry about even though he is aloof and likes to joke around, he is actually the creator of all the magical weapons in the nine-heaven realm and often makes magical pills.
His main role in the Nine Heaven realm is a doctor but he likes to make weapons for fun.
His spirit bond is a crane that has ascended to the nine-heaven realm, the moment that Yuan Feng saw the crane, he insisted that the crane become his spirit bond.
Goddess Shang Gu, is the spring goddess and also the oldest season goddess as well. Her true form is a blue lotus. She is kind, gentle, and sympathetic towards others, she smiles often. The lotus is the symbol of the spring palace.
Her role in the nine-heaven is to govern the spring season of the mortal realm and the spring palace. (read more to find out about her background)
Her spirit bond is a bamboo spirit name Zhu Zi.
Er'Xi is the only daughter of the phoenix king, she ascended to the nine heavens as the summer goddess when she was two thousand million years old. She was the only daughter of a family with 7 sons, her brothers pamper her the most even more so than her parents but also thanks to that she is not so spoiled. The peony is the symbol of the summer palace.
She might be mischievous but she still knows what she can and can't do, she is stubborn but gentle, hardworking but careless to some point. She is cheerful and loves to play, idle around and do nothing but at the same time once she is determined no one can stop her.
Her role in the nine heavens is to govern over summer and the summer palace, her spirit bond is a sparrow spirit that has been with her since she turned a thousand years old.
Her spirit bond is a maple spirit name Mei Mei.
Chang Ge is the Fall goddess who ascended from a crow, even though she worked so hard to cultivate her core into an immortal, and from immortal she ascended to the nine heavens as a goddess.
Many gods and goddesses looked down on her since crow spirits are considered to be demon spirits, but Chang Ge has never paid attention to them and because she grew up so rough being the only high goddess from such a spirit class, whoever speaks about it in front of her or look down on her she is not afraid to attack them with her fist and if not she would talk back to them and put them in their place.
Her role in the nine heavens is the Fall goddess to govern the Fall palace and the workload of Fall. The maple leaf is the symbol of the fall palace.
Her spirit bond is a maple spirit, Fang Ye, the spirit was able to leave her vessel and ascended to the nine heavens before Chang Ge did but because Fang Ye was one of the goddesses that helped Shang Gu maintain the Fall palace and Feng Ye was her assistant and so she just made Fang Ye her spirit bond.
Hou Chi is the youngest four-season goddess and the winter goddess, she was a bestow goddess born on the platform of Earth and Heaven. Being a bestow goddess, she's of pure heart and had never committed any crime while she was a human being but she has no memories of the time that she was in the mortal realm. She is cold towards almost everyone, she is distant and only talks when it's necessary.
Her role in the nine-heaven realm is to govern the winter palace and work on the winter season paperwork.
She has yet to find and form a spiritual bond that she likes, since she is the winter goddess her element is winter and she wanted a winter beast or something related to winter. The snowdrop flower is the symbol of the winter palace.
Something that all the season goddesses have in common is that they all have blue eyes and silver-grey hair, on their right shoulders there is the red symbol of their palace; that's how someone can identify a season goddess.
