on the opposite side of the nine heavenly realms where the true gods' palace stood, there is another palace called the Four Season Palace. Even though it's been closed since the forefather of the ancient gods had ascended to the greater realm, yet it still shone its lights as brightly as ever.
There was a blue lotus that ascended exactly 165 years later.
Shang Gu remembered that someone talked to her every day since she gained consciousness, he called her Shang Gu.
Shang Gu also remembered the hand that touched her. It was so warm, and he always spoke kind words, he taught her how to cultivate but years passed, and he never returned. He called her "Child" and when he stopped coming to visit her, she missed him dearly but she remembered that he had told her to work hard and cultivate herself because he wanted to see her human form. So she did.
Shang Gu lives on with his words, studying the books in the house where her pond was located and cultivating her powers but even when she gained her spirit form, she wanted to go out and find him but she stayed inside. It was due to the warning; do not go beyond the main gates until you have cultivated your physical form, the man used to remind her.
Shang Gu used her power to float around the place in a spiritual form; that was how she explored the house, and that was also how she study the books inside the four palaces. Her spirit form was but a blue whisp that float around.
Shang Gu has been practicing and was finally able to turn into a human being, she walked around looking at herself and went to find a mirror to see herself. She crooked her neck as she looked at herself
"Is this pretty? Am I pretty?" she asked herself as she looked at her own reflection but she shrugged her should and walked out around the palace.
Shang Gu had been in the Four-Season Palace for 165 years, she knows her way, but she had never wandered out of the Four-Season Palace because she didn't have a physical form. She knows that the other palace are closed, and she won't be able to go into the other palaces but she doesn't know the reason why she couldn't go in. She would look at the gates as she passed the other palaces one at a time. She made her way towards the main house; where the main exit was located, she stood there with a smile.
"Finally, I can go out of these walls. Father had told me to stay here and behave until I've gained my physical form, which I did." Shang Gu said to herself with a smile as she pushed the gates open. Once the door opened there were people all standing outside as if they were waiting for her
"Welcome, high goddess." they all said to her, stunned Shang Gu wanted to do nothing more then to run back into her blue lotus vessel but she pulls herself back together.
"You may rise." Shang Gu said to them, and they all got up
Even though Shang Gu was self taught in both her reading and writing, there were more than enough books in the spring palace for her to learn about the nine heaven realms and their etiquette. She had practice with herself more than she could count since she wanted her father to be proud of her. Thus she put on a brave front.
The goddess who was in front of the line bowed to her and spoke.
"True god Qing Mu, would like to speak with you." she said to her and Shang Gu smile.
"Why did he not come to see me today? Where are the true gods? As per ritual, whenever a new god or goddess ascends to the nine heavens; they are greeted by the true gods and the other gods and goddess." Shang Gu said and the woman bow down
"Please pardon my rudeness!" she said but it was not her intention to intimidate them, Shang Gu only wanted to know why she was not welcomed as per traditions
"Please rise, don't be afraid you did nothing wrong. I just wanted to know why the true gods didn't come to welcome me, that is all." she said and the goddess raised.
"True god Qing Mu is the only true god left in the nine heavens and he has lots of papers to work on so he couldn't come but he noticed the celestial air and asked us lower gods to come welcome you and bring you back to the true god palace." the goddess said to her and she nodded
"You're all dismissed but you can stay." Shang Gu said to them and stopped the goddess that was in the front
"What can I do for you?" she asked Shang Gu
"What is your name?" Shang Gu asked her and she bow lightly
"My name is Yu Da, the candlelight spirit of the main hall of the true god's palace. I serve as the head maid." she said to Shang Gu
"Please lead the way to the true god palace, so that I can greet true god Qing Mu." Shang Gu said and the head maid took her to the true god palace. They walked into the palace and turned right and they walked for a while until they come to a room with the plaque "true peace" on it.
"True god Qing Mu is inside, he had said that you are welcome to walk in." Yu Da said to her and bow to bid her farewell, leaving her outside. Once the head maid is out of sight, Shang Gu took a deep breath and walked inside
"Since you are here, take a seat." the man that was sitting in the study room said to her and she walked over toward him, as she is a new god thus she is socially lower than him so she bow to greet him
"Shang Gu, greet true god Qing Mu." Shang Gu greeted him and he nodded with a warm smile
"No need to be so formal with me. True gods usually are the ones to welcome the new gods. However, I couldn't go to welcome you because I am the only true god present at the moment, so instead you had to come to me." He said to her.
"There is nothing to worry about, I am just a new goddess." Shang Gu said.
"I know that I am a Spring goddess, but I've yet to know my own status. I hope that you can help me out." she said to him and he nodded.
"You are not just a high goddess but you are at the same position as true gods and shall be treated such as one." he said to her, she was surprised and confused
"But aren't true gods created with the power of the forefather? The creator of the mortal realm and the nine heaven realms?" Shang Gu asked him, and he nodded his head
"Unlike the true gods, who were created with the forefather's power alone. You; the blue lotus fairy, is the child of the forefather and his wife but when she ascended to the greater realm you were injured, he left your primal soul in the lotus for it to nurture you while he uses his own power to sustain your soul. But 165 years ago, there was a war with the demons. The forefather had also ascended to the greater realm as well." Qing Mu said to her and she nodded with tears in her eyes, the kind father that she remembers was the forefather all along but now he is gone.
"My father and mother have both ascended to the greater realm?" she asked him with a shaky voice, he knew it was a lot for her to take in but he nodded
"Do not worry, before he passed, he told me about you. I was told that you are to govern the spring palace in the Four-Season palace." he said to her and she nodded
"Only you can be the spring goddess that governs the spring palace and bring spring to the mortal realm." he said to her and she looked at him in question
"So how is the mortal realm now?" she asked him and nodded
"While we wait for the four-season goddess or gods we; the true gods has been maintaining the four season to the best of our abilities." he said to her and she nodded
"But Bai Jue and Yuan Feng have gone down to the mortal realm to go through their humanly turbulent and has yet to return, Tian Qi is helping me maintain the four season but he is not in the nine heaven realm but in the spirit realm instead, thus I am the only true god in the nine heaven realm." he said to her and she nodded
"Oh, does that mean that all of the season goddesses will ascend from their palace?" Shang Gu asked him but Qing Mu shook his head.
"They don't have to but the forefather had arranged for you to be the spring goddess, and had assigned three other goddesses to help you maintain the four seasons. Also to lessen the workload of the true gods as well." Qing Mu said to her and she nodded
From that day on she was renowned as the Spring goddess, the only goddess that was allowed into the Four Seasons palace and also the only daughter of the forefather and his wife. If others entered without permission, they will be punished.
Shang Gu hand-picked the immortal attendants who will help her out with the four seasons until the other goddess come as well as a few major gods and goddess to keep the immortal attendant under control and lead them while Shang Gu is busy with other things.
Shang Gu planted a bamboo, cultivating it in hope that it can be her spirit bond. After 3000 years the bamboo finally gained physical form and formed the spirit bond with Shang Gu.
