Chapter 11 - Unveiling secrets

Unable to contain himself anymore Eric's raced as he asked them the inevitable question.

"Tell me about tonight?, What were you guys doing?" He spurted out in between bursts of breaths.

"You know these things are really hard to explain but well it's all has its beginning?" Luna began then began explaining.

She slowly unraveled their true nature aside the facts that they were both werewolves and could harness the power of the island, they were not ordinary beings. They were guardians and protectors of nature itself. Their connection with the Earth ran deep, transcending all the boundaries of human understanding.

She revealed that their bond with nature allowed them to moved across treacherous terrains with amazing ease and agility as if their feet were guided by unseen forces which happens to be true.

Promising that show him what she really meant by her words in the morning, she ended the long talk and lead the way home.

At first light, Eric was already up and ready for his morning trainings and completion of what they started the night before.

By the time he had finished preparing breakfast, Luna and Aidan was all ready and dressed for the morning trip amongst the mountains and hills. Their trip today would lead them across the goblin mountain under which they mine for gold and other precious stone's, it was a learning trip and also a dangerous trip too.

Breakfast as quick and eaten in a hurry, as Gabriel wished them good luck standing by the doorway smiling at them like a clown.

They set out in a trot with Luna leading the way, soon they reached the end of the small mountain where the series of mountain ranges began. Then Eric proposed a race to see who reaches the stream at the Eastern part of the wood first.

Eric took off running, sliding and pushing forward but the he took a glance at his opponents and an amazing sight opened before him.

Luna was gracefully gliding through the dense forest, her feet dancing in a rhythm across tangled roots and fallen leaves. It was as if the forest was pushing her forward, in seconds she had moved past him and in another twinkle of eye she was far from him.

A glance at the mountainside saw Aidan effortlessly scaling through the mountains like a full-grown mountain goat, his speed and movements were as fluid as water. They were in perfect harmony with the Earth, mother nature herself as each step they took was taken with reverence and respect and the Earth in turn pushed them forward supporting them in their every step.

Soon they arrive at the stream with Eric arriving minutes later panting and gasping for air, he fell with his face to the ground and drink his fill with water from the Crystal clear water.

Luna began the first phase of explanations, they were not only skilled navigators, they possessed a vast range of unique abilities, which includes ability to communicate with the animal kingdom. Birds would sing with joy as Luna gently whispered the secrets of the winds to them while Aidan stroke up conversations with the wolves and bears and other wild creature's understanding their needs and ensuring there was a delicate and normal balance between predator and prey.

As Luna and Aidan shared their stories with Eric,each starting his own tale from where the other stopped. Their passion for their roles as nature protectors shone brightly.

They spoked of the delicate ecosystem which they had seen and which had thrived under their watchful eyes and careful tending, and of ancient trees that whispered wisdom to the breeze and of the intricate connection all living things shared with one another willingly or unwillingly.

They explained clearly that the responsibility they carried was not an easier one that could be carried lightly, it was a duty bestowed upon them by the forces of the universe which they are willing to preserve and safeguard the beauty and harmony of nature with their lives if possible.

They also shared with him the tales battles fought by former guardians and nature protectors against those who seek to exploit and harm the Earth, they stood as fierce defenders of a fragile planet.

Eric listened in awestruck wondering, mesmerized by there words, tales and unwavering dedication to their duty. He felt a stirring within him, another course igniting itself by the takes they shared with him. They had opened his eyes to a world beyond the veil of human eyes, a world in need of guardians and protection at all times, though it was for those who were willing to take the risk to protect it's wonders.

With he deepen secrets which the duo had explained to him and with the hunger in his eyes, Luna and Aidan extended an invitation to Eric to join their cause if he was willing to take the risks as well.

A calling he had expected and longed to have had been offered to him, a calling for him to embrace his own thread of connection with nature and become an Earth guardian and protector; a calling he didn't resist but simply welcomed with open hands and cheerful mind.

Together they would venture into unexplored territories, exploring places they hadn't been to and places that a lot interest in his mind.

Eric senses heightened with his intuition sharpened as Luna and Aidan guided him through the mysteries of the natural world beyond his own eyes. Their strength combining to form a force that could not be ignored.

Eric stood tall with his heart filled with purpose and gratitude to both Luna and Aidan who had trusted him enough to reveal their true nature to him and also helped him awaken something deep within him. They had shown him the beauty, fragility and the connection between all living things.

With Luna and Aidan by his side, he vowed to honor nature, protect and preserve it's splendor even till the future impacting the values to his children also.

And so his journey as an Earth guardian and protector began.
