It's been long the armies of Urukhai had last from the goblins of the mountains, the Lycans had started amassing armies, training them to swiftly move through obstacles and not be overwhelmed by the number of men they would see on the battlefield. They knew the war would affect them even though it was the wolves Urukhai was coming for, but alas they were wrong.
Urukhai was coming for the whole shapeshifters, be it Lycans or wolves they will all how under him or perish by his sword. It would be another thirty days to reach wolvesland and maybe an entire decade to find the entrance to it unless they would involve dark magic.
Eric took a path leading into the woods for his evening stroll, gently striding forward touching leaves and playing with the works of nature. Oblivious of him Luna followed behind watching him feel the works of nature and gently connecting with them.
Eric suddenly stopped, the hair's on his head prickling and standing straight, he knew someone was trailing him. Turning around, he saw no one behind him, as he made to continue his walk a dagger cane to rest in his neck. He could feel it's cold blade barely inches from drawing blood.
His hands moved to slowly to reach for his own dagger, but the attacker pressed the dagger closer to his neck as he felt it cut him a bit drawing blood as he raised his hands in surrender.
A kick to his kneels sent him to his kneels, trying to think straight on his next line of action as the attacker had taken on him unnoticed, a peal of laughter rang out from behind him as he twisted his neck to see Luna standing and laughing hard at him.
His face turned red with indignation, he couldn't imagine Luna could sneak up to him that way and even disarm him.
"You called yourself a warrior, but a little girl snuck up to you and even disarmed you" Luna said in between fits of laughter.
"And how were you able to sneak up so close? and when did you start following me?"
"Well I trailed you from the barnyard immediately I saw you leave, I decided to test you a bit to see if you can get me. Besides you should have noticed me behind you." Luna explained while questioning him.
"I noticed someone was behind me but I didn't quite know who, I turned back and didn't see anyone, the next thing was a dagger on my neck." Eric explain as Luna laugh again.
Looking at her laugh, a unusual feeling came over Eric who fixated her eyes on her. Judging by the look on Eric's face, one could see he was already developing feelings for Luna.
The two of them slowly took tentative steps towards each other, both seeming to read each other's mind.
Nature herself began weaving a cocoon for the two of them, twisting together the twigs and reeds until it covered them like a huge cocoon.
They met at the center of the cocoon as their hands clasped as they drew each other close, their breathing labored as their lips came in contact with each other.
The began slowly, until passion overtook them their desires, each struggling to have enough of the other like their lives depends on it.
Suddenly Eric stopped, something seem to press against his chest, putting his hands inside his chest pocket he retrieved a locket, his locket.
Tears came over his eyes, the cocoon scattered as leaves and twigs fell like rain. He knew he was in the brink of betraying his wife, he had made her a promise which he intends keeping for the rest of his life.
Opening it, he couldn't help but cry, Luna seeing the pictures inside the locket felt tears streaming down her own eyes. Turning back she broke into a run, running further into the woods leaving Eric helpless and torn between making the greatest decisions of his life.
The once blooming and radiant flowers now dropped and hung like their haven't been rain for days.
Luna's unhappy face had affected them all, including nature herself.
Eric slowly staggered to his feet, he had ruined a perfectly good moments with his constant foolishness. Now he is about losing Luna, who knows how much she resents him now.
With a thousand thoughts going through his head, Eric began walking back to the village. He couldn't help but mutter to himself, mouthing inaudible words.
"Good morning Eric," a voice as sweet as honey called out greetings from the many farms along the road.
"Good morning to you too" he muttered as he walked past them. He had a million and one thoughts and he can waste precious times exchanging pleasantries, he just needs a place to cool his head.
