Thomas nodded, his little heart still found it hard to accept a bad uncle being his dad. After thinking for a while, he asked, "So Mom, can Tommy still see Dad in the future?"
Emma just realized that Robert had actually called an ambulance, and she didn't know what condition Dylan was in after being beaten by Robert. Robert was always heavy-handed, so she hoped he didn't cause any permanent damage or create a problem that would be difficult to deal with.
This also showed that even if the two men had a fistfight and Dylan was taken away by the ambulance, her heart still leaned towards Robert's side.
Emma nodded, "Of course. He is your dad."
Thomas looked up, "Mom, can you really not be with Dad?"
Emma knew she had to cut off any hope of Dylan in her son's mind to prevent any bigger problems from happening in the future. She said, "Yes, your dad and I no longer have any feelings for each other."
