Only this time, it wasn't her coming to take care of Thomas Smith. Thomas and Dylan King anxiously waited outside.
Not ten minutes before, Dylan had brought an unconscious Emma to Edwards' Hospital, and without a word, he rushed her to the emergency department. Thomas followed closely, his young face full of worry, though he didn't dare cry, afraid to make his mother more anxious.
As the two of them watched Emma being taken in for a complete examination, they waited outside. Thomas stretched his small claws and tiptoed to see the doctors inside giving his mother various tests. Dylan hesitated and then picked him up.
Thomas was lifted into the air by a pair of powerful arms, and he looked back at Dylan's worried face. His little mouth pursed, and he finally decided not to care about the embrace, as he was worried about Emma's health.
