Since Emma Smith could stay with Tommy, Andrew didn't have to stay here during the day. However, after Andrew got off work in the afternoon, he still made a habit of coming to see Tommy and her.
Emma had talked to Robert Thomson on the phone before, knowing he was still at the company and had a dinner party tonight. He would come after nine.
She actually hoped that Robert wouldn't come, but when she expressed this tactfully, he said, "No, I'll come tonight."
Emma didn't know what to feel. If she had heard this news a week ago, she might have thought it was a disaster.
But now, when she heard Robert make such a domineering vow, she felt only one thing -
