At the outskirts of the Ashtone Citadel, there was a sudden disturbance in the sky. A dimensional crack seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, as if it was forcibly created. The fallen angels that have been charged with the monitoring of the outer bounds of the chaos realm were first to notice this phenomenon. They were stationed on one of the chained worlds, surrounding them were the souls of mortals from Earth and other civilizations. The mortal realm is filled with civilizations apart from humanity, but the influence of Diablo has extended towards every single one of them.
"I'll inform the Arch fallen angels about this." Said one of the angels.
He then flew off across the crimson sky. His darkened armor moving elegantly through the void, as his neon wings shimmered in a pristine manner as they continuously flapped. Upon reaching the gates of the Monarchs abode, he was stopped by two guards.
"Zekiel, what business do you have here?"
"I simply came to pass the message of a strange occurrence."
"Very well, we shall receive your message."
Zekiel passed his message to the Arch fallen at the gate and made his leave. Whilst he was there, his blood boiled at their sight, fallen angels whom have risen in power to match even the archangels. If only he had that much potential.
The archangels passed the message to Azriel, informing him of the ritual in progress. The general made his way towards the demon monarch. As he ventures deeper into the heart of the castle, the corridors narrow, winding its way into many passage ways. The air thickens with the smell of sulfur, a scent which stings the nostrils, as distant echoes can be heard beyond the shadows. The walls are composed of the same obsidian like ashstone that forms the outer shell of the citadel. They are decorated and lit up by the occasional torch sconce, their flames a sickly green, cast uneven flickers of light through the passage way.
As you progress deeper into the labyrinthine depths, you pass countless doors leading to unknown chambers. The hallway leads to an expansive chamber in which a gallery of mirrors exist, twisting reality into a nightmarish plight. Just past them the whispers of the shadows grow more distinct, as if beckoning you to delve even deeper.
At the end of the passage way finally appears; the Demon Monarchs master bedroom. The entrance is guarded by twin statues, carved from an even darker variant of ashstone, depicting horned figures, their eyes glowing with a malevolent crimson hue. The doors ahead are crafted from normal wood, alas who would dare attack Diablo. They are adorned with intricate engravings, depicting scenes of conquests, domination, and the suffering of countless souls.
*Knock*
*Knock*
Azriel knocked on the door waiting for an answer.
"Come in." cued Diablo, in a simple lifeless tone.
The doors swung open as the shadow knight marched into the room. In itself, the room was a massive dwelling; its sleek, smooth walls were made of the same ashstone as the rest of the abode, on one side was a hot spring, it warmth provided a perfect counter to the surprisingly cold nature of the room. It was brightly lit by a flutter of glowing gems, giving an awe inspiring display of beauty across the room. On the other side was a lone balcony, it let one view all the realm from the comfort of a castle and within it stood Diablo, giving a glance towards his realm. His base transformation still as elegant as it is, his neatly laid back dark hair shimmered I stark contrast to his crimson red eyes.
"My liege." Azriel said as he bowed on one knee.
"Arise." Diablo spoke with a sigh.
"Tell me what it is that you came for."
Azriel immediately responded.
"I have a message from the edges of the chaos realm-" He is cut off.
"Is it about the dimensional crack?"
"Yes, my lord." Azriel said, unyielding and loyal as ever.
"Excuse my impudence, but why hasn't thou responded to the call of the cult?" asked the general, perplexed at his lieges indifference.
"Tell me, where you and the others surprised, when I said I wouldn't enslave the Earth and all other mortal worlds within the bounds of this realm?"
"Truthfully, we were but I believe my liege had a good reason for such a decision." He said hesitation, lingering in his tone.
"The reason is because I didn't feel like it, more so, like there were an endless force from the gaze of thousands of eyes."
The general had no words so to speak, but within the confines of his mind he couldn't help but try to understand the meaning of what hath been said.
"But enough about that, let's see whether they'll finally awaken my ambassador of destruction." Diablo spoke as an unwavering smirk crept of his face.
With a single finger an orb of energy manifested itself before the Monarch, and in a single swift wave it was sent hurdling towards the dimensional rift.
In the mortal realm meanwhile, time had barely passed since the beginning of the chant, implying that time moves much more quickly within the confines of hell. The sky seemed to echo with an otherworldly roar, as a sinister energy envelopes the victims. Within the grip of the devilish ceremony, their bodies begin to twist and turn, convulsing in a repulsive manner. The bodies writhed in a grotesque manner, screaming in agony as it seems the departed souls still felt the pain. The air was filled with torturous wails, a symphony which echoed through the night sky.
As the energy coursed through them, the sacrifices forms contorted and twisted, their veins now swollen, attaining a purplish hue from the internal and external remodeling of their bodies. In the end their entire essence had been reshaped through a tormenting rebirth giving rise to a set of figures, each unique in their unnatural and nightmarish forms.
At the end of the grueling process, standing amidst the cult members were these monstrous figures. These 'things' could no longer be called human, they were but known as undead creatures.
Among the thirteen, one figure stood apart, an entity of distinct and terrifying nature. It towered above the others, a colossus of nightmarish proportions, reaching an astonishing height of two and a half meters. Its elongated limbs terminated in long, razor-sharp claws, the mere sight of which sent shivers down the spines of those who dared to gaze upon them.
Its skeletal framework was clothed in darkened, pallid flesh, giving it a haunting and macabre allure. Its eyes, a deep and penetrating blue, radiated an unnatural intensity that seemed to pierce through the very soul of anyone who met its gaze. In the moonlight, these eyes shimmered with an eerie luminescence, casting an otherworldly glow. Its most distinctive feature was a mane of silky white hair, flowing like a cascade in the wind. This hair seemed untouched by the darkness surrounded the creature, providing a stark contrast to the malevolent presence.
As it surveyed its surroundings with an air of authority, the thirteen elders bowed before it, motioning the rest to do so as well. The chambers fell silent until the first of the elders began to speak.
"Oh great undead king, we are graced by your presence on this momentous occasion." He began.
"With your awakening complete, we now seek your strength in order to claim the mortal real-" He abruptly stopped in the middle of his speech.
This gained the attention of others, and when they turned their gaze only horror etched its way upon their faces. The first of the elders, his head was no longer there, only a bloody mess was in its place, and around him littered a large splatter of blood. As if on instinct they all edged their gazes towards the Dark Lord, his gaping mouth revealed a row of razor sharp teeth, and most unsettling of all was the fact that they were stained with blood.
"Kill them all." Those were the first words of the king, cold enough to send chills down the spines of anyone.
A mere moment passed as the chambers were filled with screams and stained with blood. A massacre to gruesome to describe had occurred, leaving behind a graveyards worth of corpses. Only a single survivor remained, as he stood in the streets of the decimated city.
END OF FLASHBACK
Levitating across the heaves was the undead king, looking down upon the destruction let out a grin.
"Soon, all worlds will know this suffering."
As if it was planned, once he finished speaking a loud noise could be heard from the distance; It was like that of a speeding jet, just many times louder. The attention of one of the undead was directed towards the sound, a hulking beast that crawled on four limbs, with a muscular body and 4 glowing yellow eyes. In the distance was a rapid blur, headed for the city without stop, the undead in response readied itself to obliterate whatever was coming standing in the only path.
The blur then shot towards the goliath with a bluish light located at its side.
"I don't have time for this."
Zephyr arrived with the world splitter in hand, and in a precise manner graciously sliced right through the undead in his path, leaving it in hundreds of pieces. But that did not stop his momentum, as he kept blitzing through any undead that came his way, leaving it in more than a few pieces.
In merely an instant of his arrival, Zephyr had managed to eradicate 7 undead with ease. The Dark Lord upon seeing this was perplexed at the might of a mere human.
"DON'T FIGHT HIM ALONE!!!" the kings screams reverberated across the landscape in an instant.
Zephyr too heard it and turned his attention towards the floating undead.
"So you're the boss here."
He looked up, his eyes radiated a golden glow as the ground beneath him cracked. In an instant Zephyr jumped towards the undead king, ready to deal the finishing blow, with an all out swing of his blade he stopped mid air. His blade had managed to cut into the flesh of the monster, but that was all it did.
The king let out a smile revealing his row of teeth.
"I expected more than that." He smile turned sinister.
He reeled back his fist, ready to deliver a swift blow.
"Activate the Hand of God."
[Hand of God Active]
Zephyr eagerly moved his arms pushing back the undead by many kilometers. Then he safely landed on the ground leaving a crater in its wake.
"Let's end this." Zephyr said in a serious tone.
He was surrounded by the six remaining undead from all sides. Without hesitation he yelled.
"Activate the Fist of God."
[Fist of God Active]
Golden patterns once again embed themselves on my right arm, increasing the power of my attack by leaps and bounds. Without hesitation he plunged his fist into the earth, a seismic force shook the entirety of the city to its core. A huge mass of dust had gathered around from the resulting explosion, which decimated the vicinity. As the dust settles there is nothing left of the undead beasts, their bodies were eviscerated by the sheer force of the impact.
I catch my breath as I outstretch my arm calling forth the world splitter.
"Summon Naki."
[Summoning Warrior of Light Naki from the abyss of non-existence]
Beside me pixilated particles shine brightly as Naki is summoned to my aid, his rise in rank leads to him adorning more distinguished clothing as a martial artists, but still nothing to ponder on.
In the distance the Dark Lord is seen dashing towards the two at unparalleled speeds, rage being the only emotion he's displaying.
"I WILL NOT BE HUMILIATED BY A MORTAL!!!" He roared in utmost rage.
His arms were outstretched as an endless stream of Qi beams materialized.
"Void Blast!" He yelled as the spheres suddenly all shot towards the two from all directions.
*Huff*
I let out a long sigh at the sight ahead, and then glanced at Naki.
"Huh, let's see how much we've improved."
The two fighters vanished from sight, leaving behind a trail of sparks generated by their collisions with the Qi. Zephyr used the world splitter, coupled with his speed in order to deflect and avoid all spheres that came his way, whilst Naki used his innate skills to expertly nullify all incoming attacks.
For a brief while the battle was at a stale mate as neither side could get close to each other. That is until Zephyr decided to stop messing around.
"HYAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
He screamed as he suddenly sped up towards the undead king, slicing and dicing all Qi attacks. In response the king also stopped unloading the spheres and instead generated two massive void blasts, he brought his arms together intensifying the power of the attack ready to incinerate this entire empire if need be.
"Face the strength that surpasses the angels!" Yelled the king as he readied his final attack.
Zephyr and Naki propelled themselves towards the attack as he unleashed the full force of the blast. A massive purple energy beam shot through the air, incinerating the very earth itself, as it approached the duo. The attack was about to obliterate the two of them in its path when suddenly it seperated into two streams.
The person before it was Naki who was struggling to split the beam of energy with his bare palms. Behind him was Zephyr whom took a long sigh, then looking forwards he lunged towards the preoccupied dark lord. He moved at near instantaneous speeds, reaching the king in the fraction of a second. With his blade ready to cut down the beast Zephyr looked him in the eye.
"Go play king somewhere else." Said Zephyr, his tone cold and unwavering in authority.
The Dark Lord on the other hand was filled with terror at the statement, his arrogance replaced by his primal instinct; fear. He had heard that sentence once before, from the mouth of the pinnacle of existence. Yes, that is why he has been on edge during this fight, the boy reminded him of the lord, whom he faced in the first great war. An event a lifetime ago. Thus in one swell strike, the undead king had been decapitated, his body instantly going limp and collapsing.
"Now, I need to find Nikko."
He sighed once more as a battle damaged Naki vanished into pixels once again at the sight of victory.

A few more minutes pass as people are finally being evacuated out of the bunkers. Droves of people pour out of each one as Zephyr desperately looks for Nikko. The beeping sound stopped sometime ago meaning she was safe, but he still wanted to see her with his own eyes. Then someone suddenly hugs him from behind, their head buried in his back. Without any hesitation he smiles as he turns to see her alive and well.
"Z-Zephyr…." She couldn't find the words to speak.
"It's alright, I'm here."
