Chapter 4 - Enter

Sensing a desire to move on, the light ball declared, "Enough questions for now. It is time for thee to make thy choice."

As the murmurs of the people filled the air, each individual contemplated their options, weighing the unknown against the yearning for a different life. Amidst the deliberation, Fodin remained seated, his gaze fixed on the luminous light. Thoughts raced through his mind, questioning the implications of reincarnating into a world of magic. Could he truly acquire such extraordinary power? The uncertainty gripped his heart, leaving him frozen in contemplation.

Fodin glanced around, observing the scene as young and elderly individuals, weakened by illness, made their way towards the portal. The concept of reincarnation intrigued him, reminiscent of the anime he had watched during his high school days. However, the thought of having his memories wiped out gave him pause.

As an orphan on Earth, Fodin didn't have many cherished memories to begin with. But the idea of erasing his hard-earned knowledge, especially after tirelessly honing his debating skills on Twitter, seemed unjustifiable. Back on Earth, Fodin had led a leisurely life in Bali. His parents had passed away when he was just a baby, leaving behind an inheritance that sustained him as he grew older. His obsession with engaging in debates on Twitter consumed him, particularly when it came to discussions about different political ideologies. And we was fortunate that the war broke out just after he got bored and decided to go traveling in Iceland. Then, With a deep sense of determination, Fodin made up his mind about his choice.

As more people made their choices and stepped towards the portal, only a mere three hundred individuals remained. Fodin's gaze scanned the crowd, his heart filled with admiration as he observed the fortunate few who still clung to the comfort of their entire families. He understood the significance of their decision, the desire to be transported together, to share precious moments with their loved ones in this uncertain transition.

Among the dwindling survivors, Fodin spotted around twenty to thirty young individuals like himself, standing alone amidst the sea of intact families. Their eyes held a mixture of uncertainty and determination, mirroring the emotions swirling within Fodin himself. He felt a sense of camaraderie with them, knowing that they were also making a difficult choice.

With a resolute look in his eyes, Fodin decided to stay behind, to stand among the small group of young individuals and the larger group of intact families.

After a brief moment of anticipation, the ethereal Light spoke once more, its voice echoing through the space. "Thee who remain here shall be transported to new worlds. Once again, I do not possess the authority to choose thy world," it declared, emphasizing its lack of authority in selecting their destinations. The reminder hung in the air, leaving the group to ponder the unknown that awaited them. As the Light's radiance intensified, small fragments of its essence began to merge with each individual, infusing them with a mysterious energy.

As Fodin received the fragment of light, a comforting warmth spread through his body. His mind sharpened, and a series of notifications appeared before him, displayed within his newly acquired system.

[World system has been granted]

[Unique Traits detected]

[Regenerating system]

[Chief System has been granted]

[Host can access system details through any command in mind, as the system will interpret the host's intentions]

'The system... like those in isekai stories?' Fodin wondered, contemplating whether he had stumbled upon an unfair advantage or if everyone had been bestowed with this extraordinary gift. Looking around, he observed the mixture of confusion and amazement on the faces of those around him. One of the children innocently exclaimed, "Dad, there's someone talking in my mind!" Their innocent voices added to the surreal atmosphere, stirring up a flurry of conversations among the group.

However, the Light ball, swiftly intervened,"Silence!" it declared, its voice cutting through the chatter and restoring order to the gathering.

And so, the Light began to explain, its commanding voice resonating through the grand hall. "Thee already hast acquired what it doth call an assistant, as required at the minimum, in the event that thy assistant remains activated upon thy arrival in thy world. This signifies that thy world possesseth some form of supernatural ability, known in thy Earth as Magic or whichever name it may be called."

"All of thee possesseth the basic assistant, but some amongst thee possesseth a different type, contingent upon thy traits." the Light expounded with regal authority, addressing each individual as if they were nobles of the highest order.

Meanwhile, Fidon's mind raced, contemplating the weight of the Light's words. 'Ah, so it seems that everyone has received one. I will check out mine later.' he thought, his sharp intellect eager to delve into the mysteries of his newfound companion.

"Furthermore, some amongst thee may have been granted a unique assistant, which bestoweth abilities beyond the ordinary. Yet, remember this, thy assistant is not a supernatural entity that grants thee extraordinary powers. It is but a mere tool to aid thee in adapting to this new world," the Light proclaimed, its authoritarian tone resounding with undeniable wisdom.

As the Light's radiant presence began to wane, the survivors began to emit a soft, ethereal glow. One by one, they slowly vanished from the hall, leaving behind a sense of anticipation and uncertainty, as if they were noble souls departing for a grand quest.

"May thy new lives be blessed, and may thou remain united, preserving the very essence of humanity from Earth," the Light's final words echoed with a solemnity befitting a royal decree, bestowing upon them a noble duty that would shape their future.

And then, one by one, the survivors disappeared, their bodies transforming into glowing orbs of light. The balls began to fly through the darkness until they eventually reached an unfamiliar land and gently descended into a grassy meadow.

Meanwhile, in the hall, after everyone had vanished, the glowing orb of light expressed its confusion. "Wait, where is the master system?" it questioned, its tone filled with uncertainty. "Did it transfer to one of them? Oh, darn it."
