Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: The Captain

BA-BOOOOOM!!!!

A Detonation as far as the eye can see, the wood scattering across the docks, the ship itself sinking, though strafes itself to the side, preventing it from fully diving into the depths below. When the two saw the explosion before their eyes, maintaining a safe distance so as to not be caught in it, they'd cheered and deliver a swift high-five at their first plan being successful. "HEHEHE! CAN'T LEAVE NOW, CAN YAH!?" Harvard would state with such pride in his voice, a fist bump to the sky and a small dance to commemorate it, with Stolas laughing along, before asking him a question.

"By the way....Those guys ARE safe, right?"

"Eh, Who cares? They're bad guys anyway! Plus, the ship is pretty big, so its not likely anyone-" Harvard's words were cut off when he quickly saw the damage made, with some of the men being incapacitated, and others having evident wounds upon their body, making the boy wince a bit. "Ooh...Well at least they're still alive! That's something!"

Stolas couldn't help but sigh to the Card Magician's response as he'd create star-like appendages to grab the crewmembers and placing them safely at the docks, catching something at the corner of his eye, with the light glinting by what looked to be solid metal. "Hey! Look! There's the caskets! I'll go get 'em, You deal with any other pirates here!" The Avian boy stated, running after that glint, leaving Harvard to be face to face with the rest of the members. He could see around three to four of them reaching from port to his location, a spell casted in the form of an arm erupting from the very ship, punching the group straight into the waters. Soon, the people would try to climb back up; taking their weapons and using it to scale themselves upwards amidst the wreckage. Harvard would simply have the arm extend and reach to those people, smacking them away, while casting a second spell to create a second arm to swat down those that are arriving after the first wave.

"C'mon! C'mon!" Harvard would taunt. "Bring me your best over here! I'm getting bo-"

BANG!!

BANG!!

Two cannon shots. They sounded like hot metal blasted through, piercing both of the arms by the stumps, causing large amounts of blood to spill, and the arms to fall limp and plummet into the water. Harvard would look back to see who fired the shot, a bit nervous due to realizing the size of such a man. A Bulky man, with a body like a temple, his arms holding what looked to be cannons on each tree trunk-like appendage. He was almost like a giant, with a Black beard and a chiseled grin. The Man also wore a black and red coat, accompanied by a black Tricorn Hat. "Well, Well, Well....What do we have 'ere....A Stowaway testin' their luck with Ol' Teach! Heheh....You got balls kid, I'll give you that. Feelin' scared there? Facin' what can probably be your very destruction?" A Cocky smirk was made, cannons ready to fire, staring down at the child like a vulture to a corpse.

Harvard, with a deep breath, would get into a stance. "Nah....Not even once!" He lied. In truth, he was very afraid, and yet, he knew this was a match to remember.

Teach would chuckle to himself, getting into a stance as well. "Perfect! On my ship, we ain' kind to cowards 'ere. The fact you're still willin' to go up against me is provin' it. You're a strong lil' one. Don't be holdin' back now, ya hear!?"

Meanwhile, Stolas would be at the very barracks, creating the opening he needed through his constructs of appendages to pin the pirates amidst the planks, reaching towards one of the caskets: One made up of solid silver with a mummy, who's nails were as pristine as sapphire. "Bingo.." He'd whisper, yet before he was able to make a breach through the ship, something would stop him.

BANG!

BANG!

Such bullets came from a woman, around 6 feet, wearing a red and white jacket to accompany her pants and white shirt. "Lookie here! Our lil' thief tryin' to rob the very best! You got some guts going in here alone, kid. What if your parents get involved?" Stolas would barely dodge the gunfire due to being caught by surprise, but regained his composure.

"What, and let you guys rebuild and escape? Not a chance!" Such pride came out from his voice in such a boastful manner, it made the woman laugh a bit.

"Wow, Guts AND Bravery. What a hearty young boy we got here. Name's Anne Marie. Yours?"

"Stolas! But for now, you can remember me as the Man kicking your butt all the way to jail, missy!" The Avian child got into a stance, his stars at the ready, whilst Anne got into position as well, guns loaded and ready to fire.

"Hehehe, Alright lil' man! Best not let me down here, yeah? Now you're actually starting to get interesting." Without much warning, Anne would attempt the first strike, with sounds above being of Teach doing the same thing, Anne firing with her flintlocks, taking aim towards Stolas' body, while Teach would try to use the weight of the cannons to strike at Harvard point blank, the steel acting as its main weapon, which if struck, would leave Harvard to be not only dazed, but flung into the riverside unconscious. What the two pirates didn't knew, was that both of them were prepared. Not in the sense of magic, but rather in their unbridled bravery, with Harvard reaching upwards to grab ahold of the cannons, and Stolas with using a star-like construct to catch the bullet and be prepared to launch it back.

This was a true battle, and one that they have to take care of separately, due to the barrier of wood that blocks the both of them. The two, while nervous, were steadfast. Their eyes were paying attention. They were ready to face this opposition.
