As the two children ran across the halls, Zazel would try to look back to see if he was being chased, while Solomon had his shadow lengthen itself and watch the sides. They weren't planning on taking any chances with fighting this man head-on, if his compatibility with such a snake was anything to go by. Unfortunately, Adel was having other plans, as Solomon was able to spot him approaching at a rapid rate, his feet gliding across the floors as if he was skating across the area like ice. Attempting to throw him off, Zazel would cast his sigil to blast down a beam of water, aiming for the ground to make it slippery and cause him to fall over. Adel simply reacted by leaping upwards and grabbing upon the walls, planting his feet hard as he walks across it, before reaching to the two kids. Solomon would intervene with a spell of his own, grabbing Zazel and moving him forward, before using Red Sea Ark to split the water and make it into walls big enough to slam into Adel. While the attack appeared to be a success, with the man drenched and swept away by the oceanic-like waves, the man wouldn't let up.
"Good...Good! Keep going like that! Keep playing defensive! Let's see how much you hold it up!" He'd yell proudly, leading the two believe he was mocking the duo, before seeing him try to gain speed in a bizarre manner. What they forgot to check was the factor of the snake that accompanied him, which is visibly by one of his arms being fattened up, as if it has accustomed a tumor. In truth, by aiming behind himself, Adel would blast himself forward with the water it took in, shooting himself like an arrow towards the kids, his other hand at the ready, undergoing a transformation of growing scales and fang-like fingernails. Solomon was the closest, due to his stunt, so Adel would try to aim for him first, aiming his other arm lower so he could gain height and fling himself forward to land a slashing attack at the Biblical Sorcerer. Solomon would be forced to react by casting a shield-like defense, the book glowing once more.
"Light of SINAI!" He would yell, having the spell be cast and erupted a bright light to encompass the boy. Usually, such an attack would be repelled back, as it is a defense that matches and repels the attack made from those who dared to harm the caster, however, something different was occurring. While the barrier was still present, it started to show signs that it was getting weaker. Solomon would notice it as the claw that was supposed to launch an attack was laced with some sort of venom, a venom that is eating away at his shield. Adel dug his claws deep within the barrier, slowly melting it as if it was an acid, having Solomon try to think fast in order to fight back against this. Fortunately, Adel seemed to have forgotten who else was present, which came in the form of a Sigil right underneath the Snake Spellcaster.
"ASMODEUS! BURN HIM ALIVE, WHY DON'TCHA!?"
The command was set, and out from the sigil under his feet would be the fire, as per requested. Such flames engulfed Adel, burning through his flesh, and yet somehow, it wasn't enough. The attack still pushed on, which would provoke Solomon to attack alongside with Zazel with another spell: Gnats. Gnats that are the size of one's fingernail, launching themselves and digging into his cooked flesh, allowing them to split his skin and cause fire to take such a spot as well, swarming Adel in such assault. This attack seemed to actually prove effective, as Adel would back away slightly, allowing Solomon to retreat back. Zazel focused his attention at the fire, moving the sigil slightly so as to ensure maximum incineration, while Solomon continued his attack by sending the gnats to attack parts of Adel's body, leaving open wounds and hoping he would be damaged by it. What they discovered, instead, was more of the man's magic unfolding before them. As his body was being burned alive, the skin began to shed. His very body was expelling the wounded skin, ripping it clean out from his body, leaving an almost messy-like substance to coat his body. A Shell that has been singed to near black, now removed and given back his normal body. He took advantage of this new body by letting him leap from his shell, using it as a base, to lunge forward and strike at both of the kids, both of them being hit spot on, with Zazel's reason being stunned such a type of magic was possible, and Solomon's being stunted that he was still alive from it.
As they were struck by the claws, they would see from their wounds of that same substance again. A toxin. A Venom. The very same that the snake itself seemed to hold when it tries to attack its prey. Normally, such a venom's effects shouldn't occur until after a few hours, where even then it would take at least a month to bring such devastating effects. The problem was, this wasn't an ordinary venom. If the effects from Solomon's spells weren't enough, the two kids would feel it firsthand, with nausea acting as the first symptom. Solomon would see the lights in a wave-like pattern, while Zazel would stumble himself to the ground, unable to hold himself up properly. Adel approached the two as they went under the effects. "Snake Magic. Gotta love it. How it makes you act like a snake, move like one, smell like one, even attack like one. You two are lucky this type of venom isn't taking you guys down instantly. I'll give it three days at most before you keel over, more than enough time for you boys to get to an infirmary and get detoxed. Just give me the paper, and I'll take you there no sweat! What do you say?" The man's tongue flickered as he kneels down, his hand open to be offered such a demand.
Zazel, despite being in a woozy state, was able to look up towards the man. He'd faintly raise his hand up, before showing resilience by smacking away Adel's hand, much to his surprise. The Biblical sorcerer grew concerned for what the Demon was doing, yet the Demon merely smirked as he tries to get up. "You think...we're just gonna GIVE you the paper...?" The demon started, as he hides the paper away, clutching it tightly as if his life depends on it. "This.....is NOTHING!" He'd throw himself onto his feet, staring woozily at Adel, a wide smile planted on the child's face.
"That so, eh? Don't wanna take the easy route?" Adel would be quick to assume that the boy was getting delusional to the venom. A Small hint of himself, however, wishes to believe it wasn't the venom, but rather the Demon's intent blossoming in full force.
"Nuh uh.....We're.....beating this mission.....whether you like it...or NAH!" His body was starting to feel faint, yet he still stood, sigil in tow, bearing the sign for the demon in question. "You may have gotten to me....but not my friends over here..." Adel grinned just as wide as Zazel's, as the Serpentine Sorcerer prepares himself with a stance, simultaneously with the Demon spawning a Sigil, letting it give off a calming blue glow from its insignia.
"Let me.....show you one of them...."
