I watch as Scarlet slices a tree cleanly in half, she had come along way in the few days we had been here. My chest swerved with pride as she turned a triumphant grin to me. I flick my hand lazily at the tree watching the tree as the tree begins to seal itself back together. We practice like that for a few more hours, her slicing a different tree and me healing it. The difference between my healing and Chaos was I healed the earth, Chaos healed beings. My heart clenches at the thought of Chaos.
Why had he done this to us? Was he being brainwashed the same way Scarlett had been? Did I even want to forgive him? I close my eyes at the onslaught of questions in my brain. I breathe deeply, trying to center myself before rising and heading back into the cabin for dinner.
Three weeks have gone by, and not a word from anyone, we need to venture out soon, find allies for the war I wasn't even sure was really coming, and if my brothers and I had our way it wouldn't.
