Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Third Person POV

The girls were all rushing into their rooms, getting ready for dinner. Tonight they would be meeting the men that in a few weeks would be their husbands. Seraphina was the most unnerved.

She had just turned 19 and was getting married to an unknown man. Her father had told her she was getting married but she had no idea which man or even the four men who were coming to dinner.

Looking once last time in the mirror she admired how her long brown hair was pinned up in a half up half down with her hair curled. Her makeup was light with only concealer, mascara, and lipgloss with a touch of highlighter.

She adjusted her white heels still contemplating changing them. They matched her baby blue dress that went to just above her knees and was fluffed out at the bottom. She had paired her outfit with pearl earrings, and her gold angel wings necklace.

A knock on the door alerted her.

"Come in." Her soft voice came out. Many would think that she was whispering but she just didn't have a loud voice like her older sister, Cora.

The maid outside the door told her that her father is calling them all down. Smoothing out her dress she walked out coming face to face with her oldest sister Lydia.

"Come on, you look pretty."

"So do you." Lydia's dark dress contrasted against the light blue of Seraphina but they both headed down together.

They walked into the dining room to see everyone there. The girls both held their heads up high and walked confidently over to their seats. Lydia is nearest to her father and Seraphina the farthest. Her brother sat on her left with Alice on her right. Across from her, a man sat in an all-black suit. His black hair slicked back, his cold hard black eyes looked at her.

She could see the tattoos adorning his skin sneak out from the sleeves on his hands and up his neck. She looked away from him turning her gaze to her father.

"Girls would you please introduce yourself."

"I'm Lydia" Lydia's introduction was quick as she only wanted to get the inevitable over with.

"I'm Cora."

"I'm Alice."

"Seraphina." Her introduction was quick and quiet the men had to lean in a bit in order to hear her.

"Gentlemen."

"Santiago."

"Victor."

"Damien."

"Nicholas."

With the introduction out of the way, dinner was on the way. It was quiet until Cora decide to break the ice.

"How old are each of you?"

Santiago answered her first going in the same order as the introductions. Santiago is 29, Victor 28, Damien 27, and Nicholas 23. Cora maintained the role of the interviewer asking the men questions and even asking her sisters questions forcing them to talk. She found out about each of their mafias.

With the dinner becoming more comfortable the girls soon broke into their own conversation with the men except for Seraphina and Nicholas. Both of them would reply with short answers when asked by the others. Levi quite enjoyed it.

He had always loved his sisters but some days they just were too much but Seraphina. Some days he really wanted to sit quietly during a meal but with four sisters it was hard. Having sat at the quietest end of the table he had a great time.

Dinner had soon finished and the men all went to the office while the girls stayed behind talking to each other. After the men talked they were gonna talk to the girls and having them close would make everything easier.

Back in Atticus' office, the men all sat back down.

"What do you all think?"
