Lights flashed red as footsteps rumbled across the hallway as scientists screamed and panicked everywhere. They trampled over each other without a single care about the individuals that were left on death's door. They all shoved and pushed to enter the elevator. Hands shoved and clawed at the door closing, and even some arms got stuck inside it, but the people inside managed to shut the door regardless even if it meant they ripped off a few arms in the process. As the elevator descended more and more rumbling, banging, and screams could be heard. The door burst open as everyone felt hope and joy that freedom was just in sight.
That joy that washed over them would soon be stolen away for their last few seconds. Their faces were reminded of what they were scared of in the first place, the monster in the shadows. It completely destroyed the exit and washed everyone in front of it with fear, except one man. It was a male scientist that had an unconscious child with him. The scientist looked different from the others. His body moved without fear but with strife, his eyes didn't show fear but boredom, and his child reeked the same as the indescribable monster in front of him.
" I see it in your eyes bucko, you want a challenge right? Let my child stay safe outside and I will give just that ok? The man calmly said as he carelessly walked past the monster leaving everyone in shock. The man looked down at his child and smiled. "You'll look after your mother won't you Siren? . . . You will be a fine man one day. May God watch over you when I can't." He chuckled. He walked outside and sat him on a pile of thin bright green grass and as promised walked back inside.
The monster turned back towards him with water running down his mouth, and excitement twirling around his red sharp eyes. The monster's body was almost foggy but it's clear you could make out some form of figure of it. The man grinned widely as a purplish aura whipped around his body. His hand shined with that same light as the wind howled around them. The monster grinned with malice as he launched toward the man, as he dug his nails into the ground with each step getting rougher and rougher.
The disgusting monster leaped toward the man with such immeasurable strength the wind practically bent to its will, but it didn't matter at all, in fact the monster played right into the father's hands. He easily evaded the claw aiming for his face and placed his hand on the monster's bone like stomach. " Goodbye everyone. Now let me show you what a prodigy of magic can do!" He said faintly before suddenly the purple aura condensed into his fist. Before anyone knew it everything was gone, there was no noise, no light, no blood. Only Destruction incarnate. Only a large crater was left by the explosion.
They are hiding within the mind of the same element.
