Chapter 4 - CHAPTER 3: THE KING'S SCROLL

Time went by and one ordinary day, a loud knock was heard on the door. "Was it Xanthe", I thought, has she finally thought of coming back after all this time. Mother opened the door and to my surprise, it wasn't Xanthe but a total different Colossal, with a hairy chin(first time seeing the opposite sex), this Colossal was way too different from mother and Xanthe. His hair was not as long as theirs, you could say I was similar to this Colossal than those two. "Good day, I've been sent here by the king to deliver this letter, that the king personally wrote", he said before breaking the fancy seal on the rolled scroll and reading it. The scroll read "I, Titus the king of all Colossals, the great king of Caelum Summon Rhea and her son to the castle by the time of season when leaves fall off trees".

He glared at me for a while before leaving, his eyes, judgy. He then left on a dark large beast that ran as fast as gazelles that inhabit the woods, if not faster. "It was definitely a horse that Xanthe, spoke of" I thought.

I had only heard about Titus from the books that mom had always read to me and thinking back it seemed like he was mom's favourite Caelum ruler. She would often smile when reading his stories, resulting to him being one of my favorites too. At only the young age of 30, he had already took over every single continent in Caelum, decapitated every other ruler that stood in his way, taking over their lands and treasures as simple tokens for his accomplishments. Resulting in Caelum being under imperialism, becoming the first ruler of the entire Caelum. Achieving what his ancestors couldn't, they ruled only a part of Caelum. But don't get me wrong they had their own legends that their names held onto.

I was more than happy that my idol had invited us too his castle but still why would the current king of all Colossals, want to see us. I was but a son of a mere servant, we held no importance, the more I questioned myself I could never understand. I realised that I knew nothing about mom's past, I never knew she was a servant until Xanthe brought it up. The mom I know is the woman who I lived with in the woods not the one who once lived in the city.
