Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 4: CASTLE IN THE SKY

Mother sat me down as soon as the king's servant had left. " I know that you have been curious about all these events that have been disrupting our peaceful living and It's time for you to the know the truth", she said. It seemed as if mother had a sixth sense and could tell that I had been bothered by every single thing that had been happening. She answered every single question in my mind as if I had asked, the reason why we had moved to the woods was because of my condition. As soon as I was born, I was treated as an outcast, being smaller than any average newborn baby and Colossals have a tendency of hating what they could never understand.

The reason why I never had a name like mother being Rhea and Xanthe was because in Colossal tradition, father's are the one's with the right to name their kids as soon as they're born. But my father never really cared for me because I was no exception, a half or even better a quarter of a Colossal if you would. This condition of mine made my life a living hell, I guess. Being born with a rare condition meaning I could never be as big as an average Colossal and for who my father was, it was the great king of all Colossals, the one and only Titus. My idol was my own father and my mom once a servant became his concubine, I couldn't bring myself to loathe him. He summoned us to his castle, meaning that he might have felt guilty and wanted us back.

Days went by until the season of leaves falling off trees had finally arrived and it was our time to say goodbye to the woods that we had once called home, goodbye to all memories that we had in that place, some good and some bad. Servant's sent by the king, packed our stuff, the chariot and horses took us to the city. Through the chariot glass window, I could see the houses that they lived in and Colossals that minded their own business, they were as busy as ants, just living their daily lives.

We arrived to our destination shortly after. A huge castle sat on the hill, the biggest building I had ever laid eyes on, the city was beneath it making it look as if it was in sky. We entered and servants bowed as if welcoming their long lost master home but I could see their eyes starring in utter disgust.
