"Alas, are you unharmed?!" Maggie had just finished speaking with Eric upstairs and proceeded directly to the office.
After freshening up in the bathroom and changing into a new outfit, she emerged only to hear Jarvis report that Larry Brown had been making advances on Alla, and upon being spotted by Casiano, a heated confrontation ensued downstairs, guns in hand.
Terrified, Maggie, not even bothering to don her high heels, hurried down in her slippers, her wet hair still unkempt from the shower.
Upon hearing Maggie's voice, Alla quickly pushed away Casiano, who was about to kiss her, and turned in a fluster to face Maggie, who was rushing toward her.
"Maggie, I'm fine. Please slow down, lest you fall."
After Maggie reached Alla and scrutinized her, twirling her around to check for injuries, the anxiety lodged in her throat dissipated.
"Alla, you terrified me. I feared something terrible had happened; my heart nearly leapt out of my chest!"
