Casiano held Alla tightly, his deep and cold eyes fixed unyieldingly on Larry Brown. His grip on Larry's wrist tightened with such force that a fraction more pressure would surely dislocate it. Larry struggled in vain as his harsh face twisted with agitation, his eyes turning brutal in an instant.
"Casiano, it seems you're the one who's grown tired of living!" Larry said with a chilling voice. After he spoke, he signaled with his other hand, and a group of bodyguards quickly closed in.
Alla, nestled in Casiano's embrace, felt her heart pounding with fear as she saw he had come alone. "Casiano, you should leave," she urged, aware that the two men knew each other and that there was deep animosity between them. She feared that without his own bodyguards, Casiano would be outmatched.
While she was fretting, Casiano suddenly lowered his thick lashes, and his clear, peach-blossom eyes gave her a reassuring look. "Don't be afraid, Alla."
