Casiano's methods were something Alla knew about, but she didn't want to think about it further. She simply responded, "Perhaps he left Washington."
Walden Abrams didn't seem to care about this and bid 'bye' before hanging up the call.
Just as Alla exited her contact list, Maggie initiated a video call.
She clicked the answer button, and Maggie, leaning against a bar counter, appeared in the video.
Holding her phone in one hand and a slim cigarette in the other, Maggie grinned at the camera as soon as Alla picked up.
"Alla, you've been in Washington for over half a month, have you missed me?"
"Of course."
Alla smiled back. Seeing the cigarette in Maggie's hand, she advised, "Maggie, smoke less."
Her addiction was quite serious. She had quit for a few days but quickly picked it up again.
It's best for a woman's body to stay away from smoking, but Maggie didn't care.
