"How do you have Chakra, human?"
Ryoichi heard the regal voice of the pale beauty and his thoughts immediately flashed with recognition. His eyes darted from hers to his fellow travellers who looked disoriented as they slowly raised themselves up. Their pale faces getting paler when their eyes landed on Kaguya
A sign that made Ryoichi immediately realise they had no plans or fail-safe against the Rabbit Goddess.
A treacherous but logical thought of running crossed Ryoichi's mind as he was confident of his running skill, but he knew that he couldn't leave the future travellers behind because they were important for his return.
'Or I could take down the cyborg myself and use his device to travel back.' A sly part of Ryoichi's mind whispered to which he shook his head internally before he motioned the future travellers to retreat.
They looked at him in surprise as they didn't expect him to do that.
"I know you think you're strong but that's Kaguya Otsutsuki, a Sage-level powerhouse," Aina whispered a warning, but Ryoichi didn't waver and urged them to retreat again.
Aina opened her mouth to retaliate but Kaguya attacked as she got annoyed being ignored by someone she considered ants.
Kaguya threw her punch at them as a purple energy projectile coiled around her flew towards them. The power behind the attack was exaggerating as Ryoichi could feel it even if it was dozens of meters away, the only plus side was the attack was slow which was the only reason Ryoichi was able to react and defend.
-SUMMONING JUTSU: FIVE-LAYER RASHŌMON-
Immediately five demon-face gates emerged between Kaguya's attack and Ryoichi. The gates looked strong and intimidating, but when the attack made contact, they started crumbling. The first two crumbled without even putting any resistance, the third resisted a bit, the fourth one a bit more, and the fifth resisted the most, nearly a second, but ultimately they all collapsed as the attack continued its path.
Fortunately, the seconds Rashōmon bought were enough for Ryoichi and others to escape the attack's blast radius which was more than a kilometre.
"Go now!" Ryoichi shouted at Aina, his tone commanding enough to not accept any hesitation or foolish defiance.
"B-but" But Aina still hesitated.
"Listen Aina if you die here then everything ends… the future you know, the people you care, and the family you love. Even you and me."
"B-but you will die if you face Kaguya here and-and-"
"Aina." Ryoichi cut her off with a reassuring tone. " I won't die I have many trump cards, and here this is a kunai with my Thunder god mark. Escape, I will teleport to your location."
Ryoichi finished as he tossed her the kunai. Aina looked at it moment before relenting and backing away.
"Fine."
Once Aina and the other two started running away, Ryoichi looked towards Kaguya who looked back at him in mild surprise.
Ryoichi immediately realised the reason behind her shock. He, a human not only has Chakra but also managed to stop an attack from her who had eaten a Chakra fruit.
To be honest, Ryoichi thinks Kaguya is not that hard to handle because even if her strength is on the so-called Sage level, she has no control over it. She only has the raw power and speed of a Sage, but all her other skills are below Genin level or maybe even lower.
"You! How did you do that?!" Kaguya questioned with a surprising level of emotion in her voice.
'Well… her emotions make sense since her thousand years long prison hasn't dulled them yet' Ryoichi noted before speaking.
"What do you mean…?"
Kaguya scoffed at Ryoichi's clueless expression as she could easily see through his glasses, straight into his emotionless eyes.
"You humans are truly vile… always trying to stab others in their back." Two bones stuck from her palms as she continued. "I was going to ask some question before killing you for breaching my timeline, but you just hastened your death."
-ALL-KILLING ASH BONES-
Immediately at her words, the two bones flew towards Ryoichi at supersonic speed.
Ryoichi's eyes widened as if he wasn't able to react to the attack's speed, but he shocked face exploded in smoke as a log replaced his position.
Kaguya turned her head towards Ryoichi's new position with a frown as she attacked him again with a purple projectile which Ryoichi reacted by throwing a kunai. Kaguya thought the kunai would intercept her attack, but it completely ignored it and flew past, towards her.
A mocking smile flashed on her beautiful face as she saw her attack reaching him, but the smile froze as quickly as it appeared because Ryoichi disappeared and appeared behind her. He quickly caught the kunai and in one fluid motion stabbed Kaguya's neck.
Kaguya felt the sharp pain from her neck as an indescribable rage took her consciousness over for letting another human backstab her. Her near-infinite Chakra bubbled over and exploded outwards from her body, causing a huge explosion spanning tens of kilometres.
The explosion caught Ryoichi off guard as he wasn't even landed after stabbing her, he instinctively Substituted with the farthest object he could find in his Haki's range, but even then it wasn't enough as the explosion still caught him.
His nano armour took the first burnt as it was immediately shredded to pieces, then his sturdy body took the blast with its natural defense.
The explosive wave lasted for a few seconds and when it ended, Ryoichi's body flew out of the explosion range from the shockwave and crashed onto a large boulder.
When the smoke cleared, it revealed Ryoichi's unmoving body completely charred black.
Ryoichi looked as dead as one could be, but slow ragged breathing coming from him said otherwise. Somehow Ryoichi survived with most of his outer body burned, his organs damaged and his bones broken from the shockwave.
'I'm glad I absorbed Asura's Chakra…' Ignoring his anguishing pain by cutting his pain receptors, Ryoichi thought as he felt his body rapidly absorb Natural Energy and heal itself.
He had achieved a quasi-Sage body after absorbing and refining the Natural Energy for more than decade and acquired a true Sage body after activating the same gene sequence as Hashirama through the Asura Chakra he absorbed from his cells.
But for some reason Ryoichi didn't developed Wood Release even after activating the same gene sequences as Hashirama. It baffled Ryoichi but he didn't dwelled much into it because Wood release is only powerful because Hashirama uses it his Sage body and Sage mode, or else it would only as strong as other Kekkai Genkai.
Ryoichi raised his body as he sent a pulse of Iryōjutsu to help his natural healing process. He then raised his head where Kaguya appeared exactly.
The world lost its colour for Ryoichi as he entered his bullet time which he now calls Inhuman Temporal Perception. The same name as Yu's ability from the manhwa — The Boxer — due to his bullet time developing the same traits as Yu's ability. It's not simply a reaction time improvement anymore as he lives in a completely different time once he activates it just like Yu.
And now with the Temporal perception open Ryoichi could clearly see and read Kahuya's each actions.
Ryoichi tilted his slightly letting an ash bone sail past his ears. He looked at Kaguya as she arched an eyebrow in slow motion and then teleported behind her through the Thunder god seal he left on her back.
Ryoichi looked at Kaguya's frozen body as she hadn't even registered him disappearing and appearing behind her. He clenched his teeth as he forced his body with his cellular level control to punch out at FTL.
Ryoichi made sure to aim upwards so the force wouldn't affect the planet… well at least not much because as the punch landed a huge shockwave occurred that expanded 360 degree followed by Ryoichi flying back towards the ground with his right arm completely shredded and torn apart.
Ryoichi crashed on the ground, creating a huge crater. His consciousness blurred for a moment before he forced himself to stay awake with his immense willpower.
Ryoichi tried to trace his Thunder god seal on Aina, but his current mental capabilities didn't allow such delcate task.
Ryoichi stopped tracing the seal as a thought occurred that Kaguya might be able to track the spatial movement through her Rhinnesharingan. So with nothing left in his state, Ryoichi reached for his most perfected Jutsu and reliable Jutsu — Substitution Jutsu.
He reached out for the farthest object he could find with his current Haki and substituted with it.
Ryoichi continued substituting with paying any attention to his half dewd, not even realising how long and where he was heading. His blurring consciousness only had two tasks which was to stop his body from absorbing any Natural energy lest Kaguya tracked him through that and keep substituting while having his Haki continuously activated. Ryoichi didn't realise how much time passed since he started substituting… minutes, hours or even just few seconds. He only knew he had to get away. And only when his mind couldn't take it anymore he lost consciousness and stop substituting.
Before he fell unconscious Ryoichi noticed a pale humanoid with the left side of his face mechanical looking down at him with a serious look.
