Riley noticed and asked, "Is your clone at home gone?"
Recently, Sparky had resumed its training of remotely controlling its clone and enjoying its morning walks with Riley openly again.
With the school starting soon, Riley hadn't given up on the idea of having Sparky's main body with him at school while it's clone training at home.
"Bark."
Sparky shook its head.
"Then why did you stop?" Riley asked curiously.

Sparky tilted its head, unable to explain why it had stopped.
It just felt like something had happened with its clone.
Seeing that Sparky couldn't articulate the reason, Riley shrugged it off and continued heading to school.
Upon arriving at the training grounds, Riley noticed that Yannis Chryssomallis's face was swollen on one side as if she had been beaten.
Riley couldn't help but ask, "What happened to your face?"
