After the situations of dark city, the gang are back on their road to cinnabar Island to get Ash's next gym badge. While on the road they came accros a carnival and decided to do some fun their.
There was many thing food stalls, games, rides and performance were everywhere.
Yellow went to different rides with dragging ash as her boyfriend with her, and he had to go on the ride as well.
Brock dressed up like a clown doing a strange dance in front of a large crowd. Ash and the gang were a little embrassed seeing this.
After some break they went to a circus tent and they met a magician named Melvin who has been doing wrong tricks for the crowd, which makes his boss on the almost on the edge of firing him.
The gang decided to help out with, Misty doing some performance to attract from people and then showed them a magic box, each of these boxes has symbols of Grass, water and fire on them. But inside the boxes with their respective type pokemon, they helped shape or float things and the trick was a succes.
That gol Melvin confidence back and he tried once again, only this time with more training in his magaic.
Melvin had two pokemon known as an Exeggcute and its evolved form, exeffutor. He asked if Misty would battle his exeggutor, which she declined and he offered ash to battle, ash accepted.
The battle as between Ash's shiny Charizard and Melvin Exeggutor. The battle for a moment befor echarizard defated exeggutor with fire blast.
Everything went fine at the end. Ash also realsed his other charmander which he trained and it evolved into charemeleon.

After this situation they arrived at a very peaceful village.
"Here, we are now at Mossgreen village." Brock announced
"It is a very small town." Yellow said
"That is not a nessarily bad thing, small town are quiter and much more relaxing. It reminds me of my home town."Ash said
Glissle nodded
" should we stop here?"Misty asked
"Well we do need some potions and antidotes seeing as how we ran out, so we need to make a rest stop here." Brock informed them
"Brock is right. We will need some more supplies before we head out." Glissle said
After no more argument they headed into town heading right towards an herbal shop to purchase some new medicine.

They soon arrived at the herbal shop and stepped inside.
"Hello, is anyone here?" Glissle asked
Her question was answered when they spotted an old woman grinding herbs, hearing Glissle's voice she responded.
"Can I help you?" The old woman asked
"Yep we were wondering if we could buy some potions or antidotes from you?" Brock asked
"Hmm, how about instead of that of that, I gave you a root that will burn your tounge and heal it." The old woman said
"No thanks." Ash said
"Uh, does this exsist?" Brock asked suspiciously
"That sound Gross." Misty said and yellow agreed
"Grandmother don't try to sell them such weird things." A young woman said
The young woman was cassandra.
"I didn't mean to scare anyone." The old woman said
"I know but we are here to help trainers with our miracle potions not scare them away." Cassandra said
Brock suddenly pushed the gang away and said,"My name is brock, are you of this pokemon pharmacy?"
Ash siged at a little.
"I am interested in pokemon potions, if you are not doing anything tonight maybe we could have dinner togther and talk about them." Brock said
He was ignored.
Cassandra looked at all of them and smiled,"Are all four of you pokemon trainers?"She askrd
"Uh, well..." Brock stated
"Instead of dinner, how about pokemon battle?" cassandra asked
Ash suddenly pushed brock out of the way and said,"okay, you can battle with me."
"That's great we can battle out in the back," Cassandra said,"My name is cassandra."
"My name is Ash, this is Pikachu." Ash introduced himshelf and pointed at pikachu in his shoulder
"Pika." Pikachu said
"I am yellow." Yellow said
"I am Glislle." Glissle said
"I am Misty." Misty said
"You have met brock." Ash said looking at brock
"Let's go shall we?" cassandra asked
"Yeah." Ash agreed, and the followed him out.
"Come on brock." Ash said and dragged him out of the shop.

They walked to the backyard and cassandra pulled out a pokeball and realased a paras from it.
"This paras will be your opponent." cassandra said
Ash took out his pokedesk and scanned the pokemon:
[Paras, the mushroom pokemon. Rare mushrooms grow on its back.]

"A paras, then I will choose pikachu."Ash said
Pikachu jumped off of his shoulder nad walked towards paras
" pikachu."pikachu greeted but paras quickly backed away in fear and hid behined cassandra
Cassandra knelt down to pet paras and said,"Paras you can't give up already."
"Cassandra, I don't mean to be rude but it seems like paras doesn't even want to battle." Ash said
"You are right, i would love for paras to evolve into parasect very soon but it's too cowardly to battle."Cassandra explained
"Too cowardly, huh?" Misty said
"That's a huge problem." Yellow said
"You are right about that. The best way for pokemon to evolve is by winning battles the more battles they win the quicker they evolve." Glissle said
"But why do you want paras to evolve so fast for?" Yellow said
"Beacuse I have to have parasect's mushrooms." cassandra replied
"What for?" Brock asked
Cassandra petted paras,"you see, after paras evolves, I will use its mushrooms to make a new potion especially for pokemon and I will use the new potion to help pokemon all over the world."
"Sound amazing." Ash said with a smile. Then he knelt next to pikachu,"pikachu, take it easy on paras okay?"he said gentely
"Chu(Alright)" Pikachu said
"Pikachu use as small thunder shock." Ash said
Pikachu sent a small thunderbolt at paras but it ended up knocking the poor little paras anyways.
"Oh no!" Cassandra cried as she went over to paras
"I guess that was too much for it." Ash said
"Pika( I guess so)" Pikachu commented
"Hey ash why bot try using Squirtle? Paras has the type advantage over water types." Glissle suggested
"Good idea, pikachu return, Go Squirtle." Ash said
"Squirtle (what's up, why called me?)" squirtle asked
"We are in a battle right now but I want you to hold your power for this one, is that okay?" Ash asked
"Squirtle (okay." Squirtle said
"Cassandra, is paras okay to countinue?" Ash asked
"Yes." cassandra nodded
"Alright squirtle use a small water gun." Ash odered
Squirtle used a small water gun on paras but that proved hopeless too as that also caused paras to pass out again.
"Chuu (unbelievable)" Pikachu said
"Trying to get paras to evolve is harder than we thought." Ash rubbed the back of his head,"okay time out, cassandra. This is getting us nowhere. What we need to do is get your paras into shape before we continue battling."
"The young boy is right, cassandra." cassandra's grandmother appeared,"Your paras needs to build up confidence, cassandra."
"That's right," Ash said,"if we build up paras's confidence it won't be afraid of battling. "
"Good idea young boy, would you be willing to help out with that?" The elder women asled
"Of course I would," Ash agreed,"cassandra what are paras's attacks?"
"Um, it knows scartch, stun spore, poison powder and furry cutter" cassandra said
"That will work. " Ash said
"You have something in mind, Ash?" Yellow asked
"Maybe if we get paras to train with the attacks it already knows then it will gain some self confidence and want to battle." Ash said
"It is worth a shot." Brock said
"Is that alright with you, paras?" cassandra asked
"Paras(I will try)"Paras gave her a determined look.

Ash had let out charmander to help out paras while he was letting his other pokemon train as well.
" in all my years I have never seen such loyalty between pokemon and trainer."casandra's grandmother observed Ash and his pokemon
"What do you mean?" Yellow said
"You may not know this but the evolutionary lines of fire typr pokemon have a habit of not listening to their trainers once they evolve into their final form of evolution. They are known for their disobedience due to lack of respect towards the trainer's but this boy seems to have gained his charmander's respect." The woman explained
"Wepl at least I don't have problems with my pokemon." Brock stated proudly
Glissle gazed at Ash with admiration. she could easily tell that Ash's pokemon love and respect him as trainer. Prephas Ash is a powerful trainer beacuse of helping lot of his pokemon.
Glissle thought,"Ash might win the pokemon leauge."

"Ash." The raven haired boy looked over his shoulder and saw it was everyone.
"Oh, hey you guys." Ash greeted
"So how's it going?" Glissle asked
"Charmander got new move. Squirtle got good with hid moves, and same for bulbasor." Ash said
"Sounds like a good plan to me." Misty said
"What was that noise?" Yellow yelled
"Don't know but it's over by cassandra and paras." Brock said
"Let's go see what's wrong!" Ash turned to him pokemon,"you guys come along, too."All of his pokemon nodded as the followed him where cassandra and paras were.

When they arrived they spotted cassandra's grandmother just sitting there watching paras face off against Arbok and weezing all by itshelf.
"What are you doing?, Why aren't you helping them?" Yellow yelled at cassandra's grandmother
The old woman merely gave her a clam experession,"Beacuse this is something that needs to happen."
"Need to happen? It's two against one?" Misty shouted this time
Ash, Glissle and the pokemon took notice of mewoth who had heart shaped eyes.
"I think meowth has a crush on cassandra." Glissle said
"What? A rivel in love?" Brock said
Brock was ignored
The gang saw Arbok attack paras first trying to head but it but paras was smar enough to avoid it but unfortunately didn't see the tail that was behind it.
Ash couldn't just stand there and watch," I can't just stand here and do nothing, Charmander use ember on Arbok."
Charmander quickly used ember at the serpant before opening his mouth and using it.
"Stay out of this twerps!" Jessie said
"Like I di listen to you." Ash said
"Boy, don't interfrere." The old woman said
"What?" Ash looked confused
But then he understood. Cassandra's grandmother wanted to let paras fight beacuse she wanted paras to prove taht its training wasn't all for nothing.
"Paras, Are you goiny to let charmander fight your battle for you? Are you coward?" Cassendra's Grandmother yelled
"Grandmother." Cassandra said
"That's going too far." Yellow yelled
"No she's right, yellow." Ash said making everyone looking at him,"Charmander come over here. Paras needs to do this on his own."
Charmander nodded going back over to his trainer standing next go him,"paras needs this. Beside he's not alone beacuse cassandra's with him."Ash returned all of his pokemon who didn't resist being returned
The elder smiled,"Precisely well paras? Are you just going to stand there or are you going to battle?"
Paras looked over at his trainer who gave him an encouraging smile before looking back at Team Rocket but looking more determined this time, "paras paras (I am ready to fight)"
"Paras?" cassandra was surprised but then smiled,"Right we can do this."
"Tackle it Arbok." Jessie ordered
Arbok came at paras again but this time cassandra and paras was ready, "Dodge it." paras jumped up avoiding the tackle attack."Now use furry cutter."Cassandra commanded
Paras repeatedly slashed at Arbok without hesitation and it wad actually doing some damage.
"Alright paras learned furry cutter." Asg said
"Tackle." cassandra ordered again
Paras tackled arbol this time sending it back a little,"we are not done yet paras use scratch."
The bug type scratched arbol sending it flying backwards towards its trainer with swirls in its eyes. Paras had defated Arbok.
"He defated Arbok."Brock said
"Nice job." Yellow said
"Very Good paras." Ash said
"Good job paras." Misty said
Glissle nodded
Cassandra hugged paras,"You did it, I am so proud of you."
"Paras (Thank you)." Paras said with tears in its eyes as its body suddenly started glowing
"Its evolving." Ash said with a smile
In the place of paras there was now parasect.
"Parasect." it said
"It finally evolved into parasect." Ash grinned and took out his pokedesk
[Parasect, the mushroom pokemon. It battles using poison type moves.]

Cassandra had tears in her eyes,"You did it, you finally evolved into a parasect."
Parasect thanked his trainer
"As for you three, Pikachu Thunder." Ash said
Pikachu's attack was launched at Team Tocket and sent them flying
"I can't belive we wasted all of our precious time on helping that paras instead of capturing those twerp's pokemon.," Jessie growled
"No kidding." James agreed
"She is preety when she is battling." Meowth said
"WAKE UP ALREADY" Jessie and james yelled, "TEAM ROCKET BLASTING OFF AGAIN." They screamed
Cassandra pulled parasect into another hug and said,"I am so glad you evolved, you are not shy anymore either."
"Parasect (That is right)." Parasect smiled
"Look like it finallh gained some self confidence during its evolution." The elderly woman came up to cassandra smiling
Cassandra nodded as she stood up,"Ash, thank you so much for all your help."
Ash smiled, "you are welcome cassandra but I didn't do anything. Paras responded to your feeling and evolved into a parasect."
"Thank you anyway." cassandra thanked Ash
"Instead of a thanks how you and me." Brock ear was taken by misty
"You can thank her by getting you as far away from here as possible." Misty said
"Anyways we better get going." Ash said
"Take care of all of your pokemon, Ash." The old woman said
"Yes madam." Ash said before walking away along with the others waving at cassandra and her grandmother as they departed
