Chereads / Heroes, villains and Jim / Chapter 2 - The Forgotten

Chapter 2 - The Forgotten

'Ouch my head hurts, my eyes feel heavy. My head is aching.'

Jim opened his eyes, still adjusting to the darkness of the room.

'Where am I? What happened?'

Jim was in a room with steel bars closing him off. There was a large rug on the floor and a dirty toilet in the corner. There was some food in a dog bowl in-front of him.

'Was I captured? I think I'm in a dungeon or something. I swear Lightning Man had caught the villain. Oh yeah the smiling woman, did she bring me here?'

"Look who is finally awake. Did you rest well?"

Jim looked in the direction the voice came from.

'The woman. It's her. I was right, I was captured. How long has it been? My head is pounding. I think I might have a concussion.'

"Why did you capture me? I have done nothing wrong."

"Why should I care if you've done nothing wrong? We wanted money and all we got was you. Oh well you can just help us with whatever we don't want to do."

'Help? Why should I? if anything I would use this to escape. Are they stupid or something?'

"Wondering why we would allow you to help instead of keeping you here? Because no matter how hard you try you won't be able to escape anyway. So might as well put you to work."

The woman stared deep into Jim's eyes and smirked.

"You can't escape. not now, not ever."

She opened the locked cage and stepped inside she approached Jim. He backed away until his back was up against a wall.

'Shit, what can I do? I need to stop her, but she probably has powers seeing as how confident she is. Damn it why am I so useless?'

Jim surrendered him self, coming to the conclusion that it was probably safer to comply than resist.

"Good boy, now just stay still and you won't get hurt."

The woman's hand glowed in a black shade as she touched Jim's neck. Jim started to scream in pain he held his neck with his hands. With tears in his eyes he yelled.

"AHHHHHH! YOU SAID IT WOULDN'T HURT!"

"Since when did super villains tell the truth."

The woman then started to laugh.

"Hahahaha you really are stupid."

'It hurts so bad I want to rip my own neck off. But it's still better than dying.'

The woman grabbed Jim's collar and pulled him out of the cell. They were in a dark room that resembled a basement, there was a metal table and four metal chairs surrounding it. Two men where siting on a chair each. Both of them where observing Jim.

She forced Jim to sit on a chair. The man on the right had a large scar on his face. But other than the scar he looked amazing, with dashing blond hair and blue eyes. He looked like he was in his late twenties with a well built frame. He then spoke.

"Welcome to the bad guys side. I am Blink you can call me B for short."

The man on the left looked old. Mid sixties maybe early seventies. He was bald and had a long scraggy beard with tattoos all over his body, he also had a robotic left hand. Noticing the quietness of the room he started speaking.

"I am Tsunami, T for short."

Jim looked at the woman. She was strikingly beautiful with long red hair that reached her back. She had a body that models couldn't compare to. With a flawless face she smirked as she saw Jim blushing.

"I am operator. But I'm captain to you…. We are The Forgotten."

"W-Well hello The Forgotten."

Captain spoke

"We are a team so tell us what your power name is."

"I don't have one. Because I don't have a power."

"Just our luck to capture a useless kid without powers!"

Jim lowered his head, even if they were villains it still stung to be called useless. T started to speak.

"Oh well, I needed someone to help me make stuff anyway."

'Make stuff? Like gadgets? I'm actually a little excited. They never let me make gadgets at school.'

"Follow me kid. Don't touch anything unless I tell you to. Oh and also don't you try to mess something up or run away, you remember that pain right? Whenever you break an order we give you, you will feel that again."

'So that's why they weren't worried to release me.'

Jim shuddered. T and Jim walked down a dark hallway with lights flickering. There was a metal door at the end.

T opened the door revealing a room filled with electronics and metal scraps with a welder on the right and an angle grinder on the left and a big metal work bench in the middle. There where a couple jars of fluid of all colours and a bunch of tools for creating whatever they wanted.

T welcomed Jim in and said.

"This is my workshop!"
