Baek-Hyun bought five extra bottles but the alcohol concentration was higher than the last beer he bought.
"Are you sure you'll be okay drinking all this beer?" Hae-won asked.
"I won't be drinking them alone, though." He said and handed the nylon over to him. "You're drinking with me, remember?"
Hae-won gave a disgruntled expression at him and followed from behind.
"Wait, where are we going?" He asked and Baek-Hyun stopped and turned to him.
"Home of course. Why? Would you like to drink on the streets?" He smirked and Hae-won tsked.
"Fine. Let's get going." He walked ahead. 'Anyway, it'd be a good idea to drink at him rather than the streets. Who knows what I'll do once I'm out.'
They got to where Baek-Hyun parked his car and Hae-won's eyes widened. This was the first time he was seeing Baek-Hyun's car and this… it was way out of his league.
"What's wrong?" Baek-Hyun asked, seeing Hae-won's shocked expression.
"It's… it's nothing." He said. 'I was such a fool. I should've gone with him earlier and then I wouldn't have had to face those horny bastards.' he thought. "But wait, are you really going to drive? You drank alcohol!"
"But do I look drunk to you?" He asked in response and Hae-won scanned him.
He certainly didn't look like someone who drank ten bottles of beer.
"You gave them out, didn't you?" He finally figured it out and Baek-Hyun smirked.
"You finally became smart."
"You… "
He said he drank them all, was he supposed to doubt him? But why was his entire body reeking of alcohol if he didn't drink them?
As if reading his mind, Baek-Hyun responded,
"The first bottle I opened spilled all over me. I got so annoyed and gave the rest away." He said with a smile. "The moment you bumped into me, I was just done cleaning it up."
"Oh!" Hae-won exclaimed, lowering his head. "But you're still in the mood to drink so you bought more?"
"Well, it's because I found myself a drinking partner." He grinned and got inside the car.
The car, Mercedes Benz, was a total eye catcher. Its black surface sparkled and the inside was no joke. The leather seats were super comfortable and the cool air in it was relaxing.
It was Hae-won's first time entering such an expensive car and thus he realised Baek-Hyun really was a young generation Chaebol. He was an Alpha afterall.
"What?" Baek-Hyun asked.
"What?" Hae-won responded, likewise.
"Why are you staring at me like that? It'll make me think you have a crush on me or something." Baek-Hyun said and though not wrong, Hae-won did not deny it.
"It's just… you're really rich." He subconsciously blurred out but quickly looked away, awkwardly. "Anyway, I've been meaning to ask, why did you guys decide to find a roommate? It didn't look like you were in need of cash and you can definitely afford house cleaning so… "
"Woo-Bin didn't want me to live alone." He said.
"But he's there, isn't he?" He shook his head.
"Just like how he's away right now, he often leaves for work and I'm left alone in that apartment. It's lonely."
They got to a red light and stopped.
Hae-won stared at him for a while. He didn't think he'd hear him say that.
"You guys are really close." Hae-won said. 'How can they not be dating?'
"Well, he insisted that anyone would, as long as it wasn't an Omega." Baek-Hyun added.
"Because of their heat cycles?"
"Yes and also… " he paused. "Forget it."
"Baek-Hyun ssi, don't you like Woo-Bin?" Hae-won suddenly asked and he flinched. He quickly realised he shouldn't have asked that and said, "Sorry, I overstepped my boundaries. I'll stop talking." He faced the window but Baek-Hyun didn't take his eyes off him.
The traffic lights were green and so he had to fix his eyes on the road.
The rest of the trip was silent all through since both of them refused to utter a word.
When they got to the garage, Hae-won quickly went up ahead of him with the nylon of beer, just so he could get changed before he reached the apartment.
'I don't feel like taking a shower.' he thought. 'Maybe Baek-Hyun will take a shower since he got beer all over him. When he's taking a shower, I'll just drink one beer and go to bed. He won't wake me while I'm sleeping, right?'
By the time Baek-Hyun got up to the apartment, Hae-won had already set the beer on the table and was waiting patiently.
"You're… "
"You can go ahead and take a shower. I'll start drinking first." Hae-won said hoping to be left alone but Baek-Hyun didn't like the idea so he said,
"That's not fun." He dropped his coat on the chair and sat next to him. "I'll just drink like that."
"What?" That was definitely not what he had expected.
"Why? I'm not that uncomfortable and I don't want to keep you up for too long." He said.
'Of course I won't stay till you get back.' Hae-won thought, twisting his lips in an annoyed way.
This atmosphere, he didn't like it.
'Okay, I'll just drink as fast as I can so I can end this drinking session.' he thought and picked up a can of beer. 'If I finish two first, I'll be able to leave, right?'
He opened the can and started gulping down the beer furiously.
"Slow down or you'll repeat what happened last time." Baek-Hyun warned but it was already too late. Hae-won had already finished a can and was out of it.
He looked up with a red face and shook his head.
"That's not going to happen. I'll be fine." He said, waving his hands and then, he opened up a second can.
'I should stop him but I'm a bit curious as to how he'll act this time around.' Baek-Hyun thought while slowly drinking his beer. 'What gives him the boldness to drink so fast when he's not good at it?'
After the second can, Hae-won completely lost his senses but he was surprisingly quiet so Baek-Hyun concluded he had passed out.
"Seriously, where does your confidence come from?" Baek-Hyun asked as he gently stroked his hair. "You're completely out."
Hae-won suddenly grabbed his hand which shocked him. He thought he was out.
A drunk Hae-won raised his head and tried to look Baek-Hyun in the eye but his vision was blurry.
"Why are there three of you?" He asked. "Well, that does… it… doesn't matter." His speech kept rising and falling, just like his head that kept swaying. "Anyway, which one of you… " he tried to point with his other hand but it was no use. "...Which one of you touched me?"
"What?"
"Which one of you scumbags, touched me down… there?" He called out and Baek-Hyun paused. "Show him. Show him to me so that I… so that I can… whack him a bit. He should really learn to put.. others no… my feelings into… wah!" He suddenly burst out crying and Baek-Hyun's mind went blank.
"Oh no, what's wrong?" He asked.
"He touched me!" Hae-won screamed. "He touched me and made me feel weird. Wah!"
Seeing Hae-won cry like this, Baek-Hyun finally came to realise that he had yet to apologise for what he did that day. But what could he do? A simple apology wouldn't erase what he did. Plus, he wasn't confident that he wouldn't repeat that same mistake.
