Chapter 23 - Why am I a bunny?

"Oh yeah, I did like it." Hae-won took the cereal from him and smiled. "It was the only thing I didn't have a problem eating then."

"The only thing? Did you have a problem eating?" Baek-Hyun asked.

"Well… "

"Sun-bae frequently had indigestion so he couldn't eat and digest his food properly. He got lean cause he threw up a lot. It was like that till he finally found this cereal."

"Yeah, that happened." Hae-won thought about it. This felt so natural to him. He didn't have to think about it before remembering it. 'I think my memories are getting replaced with Hae-won's.'

"How did such a thing happen? Were you critically ill?" Baek-Hyun asked with concern in his eyes. "I remember you weren't really strong in health but to that point?"

"I'm fine now. Really!" Hae-won said and looked over his shoulders. "It's all in the past. I got past that ailment and I don't easily get sick these days either, so it's nothing to worry about."

Though he said this, the two Alphas couldn't help but feel a burden in his voice. Was he hiding something?

"Okay, let's look past that." Woo-Bin said, trying to lighten the sour mood. "Our Sun-bae is very healthy and he'll stay that way."

"Yeah, I am healthy." He looked away. "Let's go over there. There's a discount price for eggs."

"I don't need to buy things on discount though." Woo-Bin said.

"Just because you have money, it doesn't mean you should throw it all away." Hae-won said. "Let's get things at a discounted price."

Baek-Hyun stood still and watched as they rolled the cart towards the other end of the store.

Seeing them together, he didn't like it. It seems they got along well without him and there was no space for him there but he wanted it to work. He wanted to be a part of his word.

"Let's get more over there." Baek-Hyun suggested and Hae-won nodded.

"You see, that's the spirit." Woo-Bin complimented but Baek-Hyun simply fixed his eyes on Hae-won. 'Hm, I'm kinda jealous.'

The shopping even went smoothly without anyone recognizing Woo-Bin and no distraction from any corner.

Just as the receptionist started scanning the price of the things bought, Baek-Hyun quickly remembered something and rushed back.

"Where is he going?" Hae-won asked but Woo-Bin shrugged with no clue.

Baek-Hyun returned shortly and dropped three boxes of extra large condoms.

Hae-won and Woo-Bin's eyes popped out seeing this and they looked at Baek-Hyun, who was trying not to meet their gaze.

Even the receptionist had his eyes popped out.

An embarrassed Baek-Hyun saw this and snapped.

"What? It's safe." He felt embarrassed that Hae-won was there and nothing else. Though he knew he would misunderstand his intentions since he and Woo-Bin did it often but he didn't bother to explain.

He was scared that if he tried to explain, it would only make Hae-won misunderstand more.

Hae-won turned to Woo-Bin and smiled in a pitiful way.

"It must be hard. Hang in there." He said and a confused Woo-Bin stared. But then, he figured what was in his mind and started laughing.

"It's not for me, Sun-bae." He said.

"Then… ?"

Woo-Bin beaconed him to move closer to him and he did. He leaned in and whispered to his hearing alone.

"It's not for me because I actually enjoy doing it raw. We don't use that." He said and Hae-won's head exploded, his face turning into a red tomato.

"That's… what?" He missed his words and Woo-Bin laughed.

Baek-Hyun, having no idea of what Woo-Bin said, felt they were teasing him.

But the person who felt more clueless about all this was the receptionist.

'I want to go home,' he thought.

After loading the truck with the groceries, the trio felt it would be a waste to just go back home so they went to the amusement park and there, they had lots of fun.

Hae-won didn't feel uncomfortable in their presence and laughed all day long. It was a nice thing seeing him laugh and the two Alphas felt it was worth it taking him to the amusement park.

"It's so crowded and lively." Hae-won exclaimed. "It's been years since I last visited the amusement park."

"Me too." Baek-Hyun responded and Woo-Bin caught sight of a booth selling different kinds of hats and animal ear headbands.

"Hey, let's get one of those each." He suggested, dragging Hae-won by the hand and Baek-Hyun followed. "How's this?"

Hae-won was given a headband with bunny ears while Baek-Hyun was given wolf ears and Woo-Bin wore fox ears.

"I feel this compliments our nature, haha!" He laughed but Hae-won only felt something odd about it.

"Why am I a bunny?" He asked.

"Because you're so cute and innocent." Baek-Hyun suddenly said and they both turned to him.

"You're right on point." Woo-Bin said with a thumbs up.

"Am I that innocent? I don't think so? You must think it's because I'm small while you're both so tall. That's not fair." Hae-won said and pouted.

This stunned them. A pouting Hae-won also looked cute and thus, they smiled.

"See? I said he was cute."

Thanks to Hae-won originally being a girl in his last life, he didn't feel offended when called cute. In this world, male Betas acted like real men and they didn't appreciate the word cute since it was clearly looking down on them and their male capacity.

However, Omega males didn't have a problem with that either since they were made to be cute and beautiful in order to look appealing to Alphas.

"Let's play a game." Baek-Hyun suggested and Hae-won looked around. His eyes fell on a booth that had a lot of stuffed animals as prizes.

"Let's play that one!"

It was a shooting game and Hae-won asnt really good at shooting so he couldn't get a single prize.

"I'm dead." He sulked.

"Don't worry, I'll get one for you. I'm an Alpha afterall." Woo-Bin boasted but he too didn't get any. He failed miserably.

"Wow, way to go, Alpha." Hae-won clapped with a mocking smile.

"Hey you, you're rigging this, aren't you?" Woo-Bin accused the Booth owner who just shrugged with a smug face while counting the money he just made.

"Let's just leave it. We shouldn't waste time trying to get a toy we can get with our own money." Hae-won said but Woo-Bin hadn't given up yet. He saw how Hae-won looked at the big blue dolphin.

"Baek-Hyun Ah, get one for us." Woo-Bin pleaded, grabbing onto his arm.

"I don't want to play these childish and crooked games." He said.

"Why are you so confident he can get one?" Hae-won asked.

"Because he's a pro." Woo-Bin responded with beaming eyes.

"Really? Then, do you really not want to play? It would be great to rub off that smug look on the booth owner's face." He said and smiled.

Baek-Hyun's mind went blank for a moment and then he nodded.

"Which one do you want?"
