Baek-Hyun dropped the cans of beer on the living room table and we sat there. It was weird why he was being so nice to me all of a sudden because I was already used to his constant warning glares.
Was it because Woo-Bin was absent so he didn't have to guard against me? Seriously, he was such a jealous Alpha.
"Do you know how to drink?" He asked and I thought,
'Why ask that after inviting me?'
"I do!" I said. "But I'm not really active with it." He took them out of the nylon bag and I saw they were all OB brand. A beer with an alcohol level of 4.4%. 'Wow, he did well by asking me first.'
Just then, his phone rang and he took it out. As soon as he saw who it was, his face lit up. I wondered who it was until he answered.
"Baek-Hyun Ah!" I heard Woo-Bin scream out. "I finally got a chance to take a breather. Work is exhausting!" He complained and I could imagine the type of lazy expression he had on.
"You did well but please, don't tire yourself out too much!"
"Say that to the director!" He muttered.
"Is anything wrong? Do you want me to fix it?"
"Thanks, you're such a sweetheart but I can handle it." Woo-Bin said, and I caught Baek-Hyun smiling warmly.
My eyes widened. He knew how to smile like that?
It was like I was staring at a completely different person.
"By the way, how's Sun-bae? I hope you aren't bullying him!" Hearing this, Baek-Hyun's smile fell and he looked over at me.
"I'm not!" He said but I subconsciously muttered,
"Liar!" I didn't expect my voice to be loud but he heard it and started yelling.
"You're bullying him, aren't you? Oh my Sun-bae…" he suddenly cut the call and Baek-Hyun turned to me. I, in turn, darted my eyes aside.
"Why are you looking at me like that? I didn't mean to say anything." I said, trying to ease my guilt when my own phone rang. It was Woo-Bin and he was on video call.
"Sun-bae~~~" Woo-Bin called out. "What did that baddie do to you? Did he bully you hard?" He inquired and my guilt kept rising, seeing as I was eating the food he made as an apology.
"It's nothing like that!" I said. "I was just saying. If I didn't say that, you probably wouldn't have called my line, haha!"
Baek-Hyun glared at me and I creamed for help inwardly.
"Don't worry, Sun-bae, we will only be apart for a week. I'll be with you soon so hang in there." He encouraged me and I nodded. "And as for Baek-Hyun, if he tries to bully you, just do this. Do… " he paused. "He's listening, isn't he?" He asked and I nodded. "Go to a quiet place. I don't want him to hear what I'm about to say. It'll be our little secret."
I honestly didn't want to but I'd give, to find even one of Baek-Hyun's weaknesses. Though he was giving me the glares that said I shouldn't move, I couldn't help it and I dashed out of there and to my room.
"Hey!" He called but I ignored.
"So, tell me!" I said.
"Listen closely, Sun-bae. Baek-Hyun is a really egoistic person."
'Aren't all Alphas that way?'
"So if he bullies you, you can simply say to him that he's just messing with you because he's not confident enough to last more than two hours!" Hearing this,my face flushed.
"What…what does this have to do with bullying? He's going to kill me if I say that!"
"Trust me, he won't!" Woo-Bin winked. "Just do that and I assure you, you won't regret it!" With that, he cut the call.
I clutched on to the hem of my shirt, blushing hard. How could I say that? There would be no need, right? Gosh, what do those two do on a daily basis to have such a comeback line?
No, I should forget it. At the least, Baek-Hyun wouldn't have a reason to bully me since Woo-Bin was gone.
I adjusted my expression and walked out.
Baek-Hyun was waiting, wondering and drinking.
"What did he tell you?" He asked and I sat down.
"It wasn't anything important, really." I said and looked down at the rest of the food. I felt full already. "Woo-Bin is such a joker, you should know."
He still didn't look convinced, so I picked up a can of beer and clicked it with his.
"Cheers!" I said and started gulping down the beer at a fast speed.
"Oi, if you drink like that you'll… " his words sounded slurred and I couldn't get exactly what he was saying.
"Come on, bottoms up!" I said. It was just my first can yet the alcohol was already getting to my head. Maybe I shouldn't have drank so fast.
"I thought you said you know how to drink." He said and I nodded, feeling lightheaded.
I stared at him with red cheeks and was deeply under the influence of the beer.
"Yeah…this is just… the beginning so," I raised another can. "... Let's drink till we forget who we… who we are, hah!" I drank the beer but he just stared at me. "What?"
"You didn't change a bit." He said, confusing me but I simply felt the alcohol was messing with my hearing and continued drinking.
"That's enough!" He said. "It was a bad idea to bring you beer when it's clear you can't keep a clear head."
"What do you mean… I… I can't have beards?" I asked, completely off topic. "Is it because I lo… look like this? I'll show you… I've got… " I stood up but my feet felt wobbly and I lost balance.
Baek-Hyun caught me, as if expecting it and said.
"You can't even hear me properly. How is this a clear head?" He asked and I giggled.
"You're weally pwetty!" I said over pouted lips and touched his face. "I want my first kiss to be with someone as pwetty as you. Hehe!"
Baek-Hyun fell silent.
"Hyung!" He muttered. "You really don't remember?"
