Chapter 46 - A meeting between women and a hard-studying student

Meanwhile, on the women's side of the day

"Let's get straight to the point that Thanatos changed." Aurora said.

Right at this moment, Aurora, Camilla, Luna, and Rena sat together, discussing everything that had happened the past few days between them and Thanatos.

"You are not quite right. Aurora and Thanatos didn't change. He returned to how he originally was." From all the women in this room, Camilla had the best understanding of Thanatos; she was always by his side even after his graduation from the academy, and what she realized was that when Thanatos came back from the academy, he was his true self back then, but as each year passed, he came back to what she called the Thanatos fake mode.

"Camilla is right; I made something that can't be returned. We reawaked this true self that was hiding itself behind his mask, and now we have to take responsibility for that. I hope that all of you know what that means."

Rena's gaze went to all of the girls, one after another. She wanted to make sure that everybody knew what they were doing these past few days. She didn't need to hear any words; the looks on their faces said everything.

They knew that all of them made Thanatos crazy, and the bond between all of them made them feel exactly that. They shared his desire and lust and found it unbelievable how he could still hold himself back. If they would experience all this desire each time they saw each other, they would become crazy and throw themselves onto him, not letting him off the hook for at least three days.

"Well, that applies to all of you; I never had anything similar to what you guys experienced. But I get that I made him excited and crave after me with the talk I had with him in our secret little place. But that is secondary now, as girls say to me. What are the problems we have to face? Say everything, even if you are uncomfortable talking about it. You have too."

With problems, she meant their families. Perticilary spoken was this question directed at Rena and Aurora since they had family they had to worry about. Camilla's is an orphan, and Thanatos has never met Luna's family up until now. However, for Rena and Aurora, this was another stroy.

"I will start first; we have a real problem. The problem is that my mother is now really interested in Thanatos, and with that, I mean really, really, really interested in Thanatos. Not in a way that she desires him or something, but since she heard that he was strong, my mother has asked me everything about him. Like what his Soulsycles ability is or what death arts he uses."

"She even said that I should bring her to my clan so that she can personally train him, and then we won't see him for a long time. I say that to you."

Orphelia was known to be a crazy and psychopathic battle master that even Thanatos, the first, considered crazy, and this man was known to only recognize him for what could kill him in a battle. Even if he was stronger, he still preferred not to meet this woman too often.

Rena perceeded and said her part: "By my side, I have a problem with my mother and sister. More with my mother. She had many opportunities to talk to him, but never about the important things, in her opinion, and if this pervert talks to him under four eyes, she is going to tell him things all of us won't be able to recover, and I already think that everyone of us four won't be able to walk if this time comes."

Rena didn't want to name their wedding night in particular; she found it right now embarrassing to talk about sex casually.

Her mother, however, wouldn't care about talking to people about the sex positions she liked the most. Her mother was a beast in this manner; Rena's father was always there to relieve her mother, and this needed many days, and in the end, both of them would still be grinning as if nothing happened and they could perceed for a week more.

"My family is uptile now and not interested in meeting Thanatos, but I am sure they will have to face this problem soon too." Luna said her mother knew about Thanta's existence but was not yet informed about his return to the academy. The problem, however, was that Rena's sister knew her mother, and if they got to talk to each other, it wouldn't take even a day, and Thanatos would talk to her mother about many things she wouldn't want to hear.

"Good girls, we have many things to discuss. I hope you have brought enough time with you because this is going to need some time."

Aurora said it with the nodding approval of everybody else.

___

Thanatos was walking through the east yard. He wanted to take a break and spent some time alone in his apartment as he saw Haruka sitting on a bench with a book lying in her lap.

"Hey Haruka, what are you studying?"

Haruka was surprised by the sudden voice that called for her and looked up in surprise. With Haruka's small height, Thanatos appeared to her as if he were a giant. But after some time, she got thrown back to reality and answered.

"Oh, I am learning. Histroy right now."

Haruka held the book cover toward Thanatos so that he could read the title. On the book stand, 'Reaping History' The book talked about the grim reapers history.

"Where are you right now?" Thanatos asked out of curiosity; the book covered up the things that happened between two and four thousand years ago.

"We have a test tomorrow about the 100-year cleaning." Haruka answered.

The 100-year cleaning was a time period of about 100 years. We were a selected group of grim reapers who fought against many dreadharvesters. The dreadharvesters were so powerful back then, to the extent of reaching their locgical thing again. There was a rule that said the smarter a dreadharvester is, the stronger he is. But this only happens after the deaths of hundreds of thousands of eaten or destroyed souls.

"This is a boring part, I see."

Haruka couldn't believe what she heard; it was impossible for her to think about this part of history as boring. Since many of the grim reapers who fought in this time were still alive, the descriptions were so meticulously detailed that it was as if she read an ark in a novel.

"You should come to this part of the chapter later on, but my father was part of the group who fought in the 100-year cleaning time. He told me the story back then in person when I had to learn it back then."

Thanatos looked over the yard and then realized what he said there: "Wait, excuse me, I don't mean that the time was boring; I only mean that it was boring reading about it in a book while I had the direct source of information at home. My father was so good at telling stories that reading about them feels boring for me. I hope you can understand that somehow."

Haruka thought about it for a while and then gave her answer to Thantos: "No, I have not the slightest idea what you are meaning. But I think I can't feel it anyway, since I can think I learned history out of books. I am not used to having people who are still alive tell me the stories from back then."

Thanatos forgot something that was important; he had the mindset of a grim reaper about these things, while Haruka instead had the mindset of a human. For her, the thought of something being able to live for thousands of years was impossible.

In her exorcist training, she already learned that exorcists and witches get much older than ordinary humans. This still depends on their strength.

"I find it interesting reading about a part of history I didn't even know existed not too long ago, but if you want to help me with my studies, ask me everything that stands from pages 133 to 200. I should know that part pretty well."

Haruka gave Thanatos the book with an indifferent facial expression. She didn't feel like just talking about things that would keep her from learning. If he already knows so much about this thing, then he could also ask her directly.

Thanatos agreed and read the sentences marked in the book first, then thought up questions in his head.

"Who was the mission leader for the first 10 years, and why was he only for 10 years?

Thanatos asked his first question.

Haruka went through her knowledge and then gave her answer: "It was Azerb; he was a powerful grim reaper who led the group for the first ten years of the mission and then died while fighting against 200 dreadharvesters. He was later replaced by his brother, Azler."

Back then, it was common for grim reapers to give their children similar names. This train only lasted for about 15 years. Then it became common to name their children completely different, which is a thing many grim reapers have done until now. Back then, the first letter of the name in the direct family was not allowed to be the same as the name of another member. This is not a thing anymore, but naming the children differently was still widely spread.

"I am surprised you are good; it is as if you stood behind me while reading it out loud to me. But let's continue since both of us want to get some sleep today."

Thanatos proceeded and asked Haruka many questions, which were each correctly answered. He was impressed by her ability to learn things. However, they were far from being done. Haruka still had 100 pages of history that she had to answer.

"Give me harder questions; this is getting boring."

Haruka's bored expression made Thanatos fired up, and now he asked her the hard questions. Even he had problems solving them.

"Good, then prepare yourself for the hard questions that will let you brain smoke."
