On the rest of this day, Thanatos, Aurora, Helene, and Ophelia talked and ate. The lunch the chief prepared was perfect and suited everyone's taste. Thanatos side of the large and long wooden desk was supplementary well done.
The seafood and the fish were perfect, and mixed with the vegetables and meat that were all around the desk, the meal was flawless.
Aurora expected nothing less from the chief; he knew what he did, and when the eating was done, a long talk between Thanatos and Ophelia went by; Helene and Aurora were there too. None of them found a single chance to talk to them for a long time; the topics were most of the time either Thanato's sharp tongue or Aurora's, mixed with a little bit of teasing from Ophelia's side.
As they were done, Helene finally got the chance to talk to her friend again, and they talked about anything. They talked about their husbands: how Ophelias was often away working with her mother, coming here for a few months to show her how much he still loved her, and how Helene always praised her husband and showed all the love she felt for him.
The day came to an end. Thanatos and Helene couldn't stay here over night; the reasons for that were two.
First, Helene drank too much while talking with her old friend, and the only one who could hold her in check was Areus, and second, tomorrow in the morning, Thanatos had to come to the wedding party of Rena's older sister.
Rena took the day off, and Thanatos was not scheduled for any hours that day.
However, he hid from Ophelia that he could not stay here because he was going to the wedding party of the sister of a woman he loves as much as Aurora.
Thanatos saw that Ophelia liked him but still didn't know how it would change if a woman who has only one husband heard that he was going to another woman's house.
Thanatos carried his drunk mother back to the Gravestone clan, or, better said, to his father, who was able to hold her in check. He had no idea how his father managed to do that, but he didn't know if he wanted to know. Since his father once told him that his mother goes wild when she is drunk in all aspects,
On the next day, Thanatos broke up before the sunrise and walked to the Reezhawk clan wearing his finest and, according to Camilla, his best suit. Camilla and all the other women were quite scared of what would happen at the party.
Since they knew how Rena could really be, she often gave herself the role of the wise and calm older sister of the groups, regarding Camilla, Luna, and Aurora.
But deep inside she was a huntress full of greed for her prey, which she would grab exactly when nobody would expect it.
But each of them already had his portion of Thanatos, some more and some less. A short conversation really couldn't be compared to what he did with Aurora and Camilla.
Luna was still at the back of the line, but it was already her turn, and she had to get back in line. She would be again after Rena's turn, but she was still impatient.
Thanatos arrived, and on the other side of the gate, towards the Reezhawk clan, a feminine figure stood outside the gates waiting for someone. Thanatos could recognize this figure in an instant; the figure was Rena.
She was unable to be seen. She wore a violet dress that covered her breasts. Well, they tried to hide anything they could. As Thanatos walked nearer to her, he saw that the thing that hid her decollete was held together by two meager buttons. The buttons seemed to fight for their lives, hiding the thing that Rena did not want to show. She hated the gazes at her. Thanatos was an exaggeration, of course, but since today there were many people here, including a young man, she needed to hide it.
"Hello Rena Sorry to keep you waiting; to dress up firmly, I needed much more time than I thought." What Thanatos said was not a lie. Picking out the right suit was no problem; his hair, however, was a fight of its own that he had to endure alone in the bathroom.
His hair wouldn't bend the way he wanted it.
He wanted to gel his hair back with some hair gel. When he was still at the academy, he had this hairstyle all the time. Later, it was too annoying for him to smear hair gel into his hair every day, so he decided to comb his hair with a simple side parting on the left side.
But for Rena, who once said that she liked this hairstyle very much, he has styled his hair again as he did before.
"Don't be afraid; I came out here just a few minutes ago, but you should come in first."
As he walked in, he saw how everything was decorated for the wedding party, even on the outside of the estate, which seemed to have taken a long time. The way towards the estate led to a huge front yard similar to the one at the Gravestone clan.
The front yard was huge and decorated with the colors white, black, and violet. By Grimreapers, it has been tradition since long to decorate the wedding and wedding party with the favorite colors of the people who got married. A part of the tradition was that the wedding and wedding party were held on two different days. First came the wedding, and then on another day would come the party for this wedding.
During the time when Rena's sister got married, Thanatos was finished with clearing up the mess he had left behind by failing his first ever mission. It was the day Taro left to go to the dog clan with Isaiah.
However, since he came to the academy before the wedding party, Rena got the chance to invite him. She still needed to repay her debts. The debts came from a dump game she played with her sister, and as her gambling debts on this game increased, she now had to bring Thanatos over to the Reezhawk clan. This was what her sister said with the full support of her mother.
"Rena I have a question. I know it sounds rude, but who are the people your sister married? I don't want to make a stupid mistake."
It was important for Thanatos to make a good first impression; he would, of course, be himself and not play to be someone he never was. But choosing something that could happen beforehand was the best thing he could do.
Rena pulled Thanatos down to her, whose ear was too high with his 185 cm of height, and whispered the information he needed to him.
"The two she married are the guy with the white rose in his jacket pocket and the little one over there with the blond hair."
Thanatos looked over at the two men inconspicuously and spotted them immediately; one was the only one with a white flower in his jacket pocket, and the other looked from a distance like he was even smaller than Rena.
Thanatos nodded; Rena did not need to tell him their names. She was going to have them talk to him anyway.
As she was about to leave him, a voice from the distance called to Rena. There were only a few people here, but with their incredible grim reaper ears, they were still able to hear everything.
"Stop the two lovebirds making out with each other at my wedding reception!" A woman came, pointing her finger and smiling hugely as she looked at Rena, which turned into a wry smile when she saw the man next to her.
"Elina, don't scream like that; everybody will hear you."
Elina ignored Rena's desperate words and turned towards the man who stood beside her.
"Hello, I am Elina, Rena's older sister. I am pleased to meet you."
Thanatos grabbed Elina's hand and grinned at her with a gentle and harsh voice that surprised Elina and hit Rena critically.
"I'm pleased to meet you, Elina; my name is Thanatos Gravestone; your sister invited me to your wedding party. I have not much to gift you, but here, take this."
Thanatos grabbed the pocket of his suit and pulled a box out that was wrapped in wrapping paper with a red bow.
"Oh, how welcoming! Come in; my mother would like to get to know you too."
Elina gratefully accepted the gift but didn't open it yet; she just skipped into the property with gentle steps in anticipation.
The anticipation didn't come from the gift but from the thought of having a short conversation with her future brother-in-law and her mother. While seeing her cute sister's reaction to it.
