[From the moment this contract is signed, both the parties should follow their parts of agreement.
Rowler Goldylock, must be subservient throughout the eight years and Jake Bourbon must pay one drop of the elixir of life in return.
Rowler Goldylock must not directly or indirectly cause harm to Jake Bourbon.
The party that breaks their part of the vow, will have their whole bloodline cursed.]
Rowler read the contract and frowned, "Add a statement that you will also not cause me any harm."
"Is there really a need to, Rowler? I could just directly kill you and put your daughter under the imperious curse to control the hunters den from the shadows.
I don't really have to do this, you know? I am merely giving you a choice."
Rowler sighed before he pricked his hand and put his thumbprint on the parchment while Alex did the same.
"Alright, now that this is done, can you tell me which place is the best for learning about the concept of Animagi?"
"Before I give you that answer, give me the elixir Jake."
"Nah. The contract states that I have to pay you with the elixir of life, not when I have to do it. I have an eight-year time limit, so just wait. You have waited for more than a hundred years after all."
Rowler felt frustrated, but he could do nothing. He rubbed his forehead with a frown before giving him a token.
"Go to Egypt. Room number 308 will help you out and… when you get to Egypt, go to the Sphinx and you will find a woman who acts as a guide. Just give her this token and she will take you to the best place."
Alex nodded and left the place with the token. Room no 308 looked similar as there were the same masked men who sent him to China last time.
"Egypt. Rowler sent me here."
The masked men nodded before they placed a rusty key on the table.
"The Egyptians use thin metal biscuits as a currency. The magical community, not the muggles. We can sell gold and biscuits for Galleons."
"Show me the biscuits." Alex said as he looked around. One of the men took out a leather pouch from his bracelet before placing it on the table.
Alex looked inside and saw that they really were gold biscuits of 2mm thickness, 2cm breadth and 5cm length. Their edges were smoothened out while there was a small indent on all the coins.
"How much, I wonder?"
"A hundred galleons for one coin."
"I'll come back in a few hours. Save the portkey for me." He said and left before they could say a thing.
After going out, he bought a few kilograms of copper ingots and turned them to gold directly. Then, he simply gave them the shape that they needed.
He slept at home for a few hours before heading back to the hunters den. Using the portkey, he arrived in Egypt.
He could see the sphinx from where he stood, so he walked towards it. When he got close enough, he saw more than one guide and all of them were reaching out to the tourists to sell their services.
Luckily for him, there was only one female guide. He went to her and gave her the token as he was instructed.
The woman observed him for a few seconds before she gave the token back.
"England?"
"Yes…"
"Follow me." She said and walked in a random direction while Alex followed. She walked a bit too fast for him to keep up so all he could do was jog.
After they walked for a while, she looked around and after making sure that no one saw them, she raised her wand upwards before muttering something.
Alex felt something pull him downwards and a moment later, he found himself in the air, falling. He looked down and saw a large pool, so he calmly put his wand back inside.
The water splashed while Alex struggled to stay on the surface. Hurriedly, he took out his wand and brought out his ropes from the bracelets. After pulling himself out of the pool, he looked at the woman.
She simply shrugged before she started moving and Alex followed patiently as he did not want to cause havoc before he got what he wanted.
'I should've been more cautious…'
Almost ten minutes later, he was brought into a large room. An old man sat on a large throne while there were a few other men and women sitting on smaller seats.
The woman who brought him there began to talk to the person who Alex assumed was the leader of the group. Not being able to understand their native language, Alex felt lost.
After she finished explaining, the old man said a few words which prompted the woman to turn around and speak to Alex.
"The elder asks why you are here and what you want from them."
"Tell him that I need information and guidance on the magic and mysteries of the Animagi."
She nodded and she her job before relaying the elder's message back to him.
"He said that everything can be bought with money in Egypt."
Alex smiled, "How much for everything?"
The woman stared at him in astonishment. The shock in her face was evident as she didn't react for a few seconds until Alex raised his eyebrows.
"The copies of books and records will all cost you about a thousand golds. If you want to learn under someone, you will have to ask them yourself."
The moment she finished her sentence, Alex outstretched his hand facing the ground in front of the old man before gold biscuits began to shoot out of his bracelet.
After exactly one thousand of the coins were piled up, he stopped and looked at the old man who seemed a bit too flustered as he ordered the people around him to take away the gold coins.
He spoke to the woman before standing up and looking at Alex.
"He wants you to follow him to the Ancient Academy where you can hire some of the best teachers in Egypt."
"Hehe, okay."
