At night, Alex took out a few things from his trunk while Aman looked at him do his thing and asked the first thing that came to his mind.
"Why do you need a large basket and this … uh sphere?"
"You'll see." Replied Alex with a sly grin on his face, which made him look like a crazy person due to the dark circles under his eyes.
"What now?"
"Just keep silent… don't make any sound from now on until I tell you to."
Aman nodded and saw, to his horror, a wand being pointed at him. His eyes were wide open but he kept his mouth shut. A second later, he saw his friend point the wand at himself and within a blink of an eye, he was gone.
"Oye. Give me your hand. Like, place it on the bed so I can guide you."
Aman nodded, not realising that no one could see him. He placed his hand on the bed and a few seconds later, felt Alex grab his arm.
"Let's go. Don't make a single sound. If you do… I'll never take you with me."
"Understood, sir Alex."
"Oh… shut up." He heard his friend say as felt himself being dragged out of the dormitory and then the common room. Only when they were out of the Ravenclaw common room, could he breathe a bit as Alex had slowed down.
He didn't know where he was being dragged to but found out when Alex stopped in front of the girls' bathroom in the second floor.
After entering one of the cubicles, Alex placed a few warding charms and deactivated the disillusionment charm on both of them before he closed the toilet seat and placed the sphere on it.
"You can talk now, it's safe here." He said when he saw Aman's face.
"You…. Come to the girls' lavatory everyday…. Oh man, I never expected this from you."
"Shut up, you lazy dumbass. No one comes here because Myrtle lives in here. All you have to do is use the disillusionment charm, get in one of the cubicles except the last one and cast a select few warding spells. Voila! You now have a private place to do whatever you want."
"What can you even do in this … tiny space? Clean this toilet?"
"This is not the time to argue. Place your hand on this sphere first."
"Okay…" Aman said as he placed his hand on the sphere and soon after, Alex tapped it with his wand.
His surroundings changed like the duelling boards that he used every week. He looked around and saw Alex appear nearby.
"You want to me duel?"
"Yes. Not me though, look behind you." Alex said and Aman turned around to see a large dog that had thick black fur. It stood in one place and didn't move a single nerve like it was a statue.
"What is that?"
"Well… it's an offspring of a boarhound and a wolf. I don't know which breed though. Alright, listen up now. Tell me what kind of spells you know and demonstrate them to me."
"Uh… I know the levicorpus, stupefy, confundo and… wingardium leviosa." Aman said proudly.
"Those are some good spells for a first year… if you know those, why aren't you winning much?"
"I don't know…"
"Alright, fight this doggo. If those spells are used properly, you should be able to bring it down." Alex said as he snapped his fingers.
A loud growl was heard from behind Aman and he turned backwards in panic, only to see the large dog inching closer and closer as it circled around him.
He took a deep breath and pointed his wand at the dog before shouting, "Stupefy!"
A reddish spark flew out from the wand and hit the wolf, doing almost nothing to it as it got even closer.
"Aaaaaaah, it's not working! Alex! Help!!!"
Alex, who was standing against the wall, sighed before he pointed his wand at the dog and threw it up in the air before the bones inside the poor creature poked out from different angles, killing it instantly.
Aman sat on the floor as he shivered and cried non-stop while Alex stared at him in disappointment. A few minutes passed and finally, he looked up at Alex.
"I… don't want to do this anymore. It's alright if they don't want to talk to me. I can get used to it."
Alex frowned before he slapped him with all the strength he could muster.
"You said that you wanted to see what I did every night didn't you? This was what I was doing from the start. Do you want to know why I am doing all this… brutal stuff?"
Aman had his palm on the spot where he was slapped as he nodded.
"The guy who killed Harry's parents, he's coming back in a few years. I heard a prophecy, Aman. This is a secret that you absolutely cannot tell anyone and if you want to protect your family in the future, you have to work hard.", Alex said, lying through his teeth.
"I…. understand. I will do my best."
"Forget duelling for now. You need the right mentality, so I have something different for you to do."
"What is it?"
"You'll see tomorrow. What's the hurry?"
They didn't do anything else that night and headed back to their dormitories to sleep.

Aman sat on a wooden chair while he stared at the familiar box in front of him.
"Alright, you will be watching movies and series that I select for you from now on."
Aman nodded and Alex left the bathroom after turning it on. While his friend was busy watching movies, Alex headed to the room of requirements before calling out to Toffy, who instantly popped up beside him.
"Toffy, today I will be sending you on a very important mission. Don't move, I need to cast a few spells on you."
