Chapter 29 - Chapter 28- A woman's lap

Having said his goodbyes, he heads off to the infirmary. Having got his wounds taken care of swiftly, he climbs the stairs and walks to Hela's room.

Knocking on the door, he waits for a response.

"Is that you Leon?" she calls out.

"Yes, it is. Can I come in?"

"Sure, come in."

Leon walks in to see Hela with a brighter complexion. The remnant injuries from her battle now difficult to find.

"You look much better, how are you feeling?"

"Good. I think the sleep helped." As she answers, her fiery eyes look towards Leon. She asks calmly "Leon, what happened to your face?"

"Oh, it's nothing, just something from class. Nothing to worry about." Leon tries his best to brush it off, but Hela is visibly upset.

"Did another student do this to you? I will go show them whose partner they are messing with." With some anger in her voice she was ready to go after them right away.

"Don't worry about it, how about we head off to train instead?" Not wanting to revisit it, he instead asks about their training.

"Alright, if that's what you say." Still upset at his treatment she thinks to herself 'I can always deal with them later when Leon's not around.' With a plan for revenge in mind, her face softens. Following Leon, now smiling, they head to the training facility.

Walking into one of the unoccupied rooms, the pair walk to the controller.

"Should we start with a strong Class A monster? If so which one?" Leon asks.

"Hmm, why don't we try a Firebird first? A battle of attributes might be useful before we head to the Reinhardt's' manor" she replies after some thought.

"That sounds good, also its difficult to practice against flying enemies" having not faced many himself he found it to be a great idea.

With the monster chosen, Leon grabs a couple of javelins from the rack and takes position next to Hela. The monster soon spawns in. A bird with over 6m wingspan takes flight. Its yellow plumage was covered in red fire and its black beak made one shudder.

'Let's go' seeing the bird was readying its attack, Leon didn't hesitate. Using great force, he hurled one of the javelins towards it. It was prepared however, even with the weapon's great speed it was able to dodge. The spear missing its mark struck the solid wall on the other side, digging in deeply.

Hela also wasted no time for her attack. She jumped up into the air and used her flames to hover. The two now facing each other unleashed their attacks on each other. The bird type monster beat its wings sending flame and heat across a wide area. Hela's attack was far more concentrate, a single hot beam that was sent straight towards it. The collision of heat left the humans skin red, not having the same resistance as the bird.

Unperturbed by her flame it dives towards her. The sudden attack leaves her unbalanced. Unable to dodge she ends up in her beak, her battle ended.

With his partner out, Leon's face soured. He raised the second javelin and prepared to launch it. The bird having turned around eyed him carefully as it made its way towards him. Hela watched from the outskirts having been teleported there.

Leon twitches his muscles and launches the javelin. Seeing his body move, it predicts the path and dodges. Only the Javelin wasn't fired. Leon had instead propped it up, letting go of his hand before release. With it floating in the air just in front of him, he uses his foot, powered by flames to propel at great speed. The bird, unable to dodge drops towards him gathering speed. The spear hits. The impact causes the feathers around it to turn red.

"Screech" in pain the bird pushes forward. The injury that would be fatal, wouldn't stop it from killing its foe first. Opening the huge claws, it wrapped them around Leon. 'Uh-oh' Leon without a weapon was now stuck and bleeding. Having ended up in its claws, the pair was defeated. With the first match leaving much to be desired, they decided to use it to plan out the next.

"Perhaps we should explain what we want to do" Leon feeling that the disparity of their thought hurt their chances.

"Yeah, that's a good idea" Hela happy to put forth her ideas responds.

Creating a plan together, they refaced the Firebird. After a few dozen tries, the pair finally manage to beat the monster. With both of them tired and sweaty, they decided to stop for the night.

"Leon, are you alright with leaving tonight? I was planning on leaving tomorrow but it might be better to get there early."

"Yeah, that's fine with me."

"Alright how about I go take a shower and then we meet up at the gate?"

"I will do the same then, see you soon."

Leon heads back and has a shower at the dorm before putting on his nicest tunic. Although it was his nicest, he doubted whether it would be good enough for the event.

"They will probably be all fancy dressed" with a slight worry he headed to the gate with a bag of his travel gear and his sword. 'I will have to ask Hela about what I should wear.'

He doesn't have to wait long for her to appear. In a black long slit, her long legs and bountiful chest emphasised by it. Along with the mix of red, white and black from her body and dress, she stood out vibrantly.

'Wow' the unexpected attack on his heart left him rather speechless.

"Hello, Leon, do I look alright to you?"

Only with her question was he able to break his stupor. "You look beautiful, Hela."

"Haha thank you; you look even more dashing right now. The carriage should be just outside, lets go get in it."

Leon walks out to see a large well-made carriage pulled by a series of horses. While it didn't come across as gaudy or luxurious, Leon could tell it was likely very expensive and comfortable. Following Hela in, he found himself within a large room.

"My father sent his best carriage to come pick me up" seeing Leon gazing around it she chuckled and answered.

"It's very nice inside."

"Even if the Reinhardt's aren't as wealthy as most of the other six, they still make sure they keep up their appearance as one of the great houses."

"Come sit next to me."

Feeling somewhat sleepy he sits next to Hela. He wasn't used to spending a whole day without rest and with the comfortable atmosphere around him he started to doze off.

Seeing him like that, Hela pulled his head onto her lap. Startled Leon tried to get up.

"No complaining, just rest."

Unable to muster up the energy to complain and Hela's thighs feeling divine he fell asleep. Mumbling in his sleep about "Marrying some great ladies and making a great family to save the world."

"He sleeps like a baby" Hela chuckles. 'What was that about marriage though' hearing the mumble she couldn't help but get a little hot.

At this time in the academy a group of three were gathering.

"Which of you two idiots had us meet here?"

"I thought you called us here for our plan against Hela?"

"Yeah, cause it wasn't me."

As the three women begin bickering a figure approaches.

"Who are you?" seeing the figure she snarls out.

"Your nightmare" the figures voice without remorse.

"Hey wait." "What are you doing?" "Stop." "Ow, it hurts." "Please."

All three of them each call out and continue begging as the figure beats them. The next morning many students would get a kick out of seeing the three noble bullies from class B hung up naked on the academy fences. Their body covered in bruises and written insults.

As the night had truly set in and darkness filled the inside of the carriage, Hela twirled Leon's hair. Having been asleep for the last few hours, Hela wished to join him. Her moistened crotch and beating heart had stopped her from being able to fall asleep, so she had instead taken to exploring his body with her eyes.

Just as she was about to put her hands on his muscular chest, she heard a noise.

"Roar."

"Benny?" she shouts calling out to her coachmen.

"My lady it appears there is a horde of monsters somewhere up ahead, though its not entirely clear. Perhaps you should look."

With the sudden noise Leon awakes. "What's going on?"

"Leon gets up and grab a weapon" grabbing a sword herself from a chest before exiting the carriage.

Seeing her rushing, he runs over and grabs a spear to go along with his sword.

Leon stepping out of the carriage soon see's a bit of the scene. In the far distance, the darkness is illuminated by a huge raging fire. In the sky streaks of light split the sky followed by sudden roars.

"Lady there are three headed this way."

"What are they?"

"Lightning wyverns."
