Centuries ago, when the King of hell, Elvis, married the goddess of death, Hela, they gave birth to children of various shades and each were gifted with a unique ability and a heightened emotion that defines them. They were later branded as the 'deadly sins'.
They were six in numbers, the first born was the sin of pride, Aragon, then followed by the sin of lust, Avaa, then the sin of gluttony, Gula, and followed by the twins, sins of envy and greed, Levi and Varra, and lastly, the sin of sloth, Tee.
The deadly sins were notoriously known for their brutality, they unleashed havoc and caused bloodshed wherever they stepped and were extremely powerful, so they ruled their people with tyranny and instilled fear in them.
Queen Hela, unlike her offspring, was a woman of nobility. She keeps her words and desired respect above all else. Hela was powerful and are feared even by her children.
The family led their kingdom to victory and everything seemed perfect until a century later when their father returned with a human boy named Damien. He claimed the child to be a result of his fleeting romance with a human woman and after her unexpected death, the boy is to live with his family as one.
This news, as expected, crumbled Hela's heart to pieces and shocked his children. Damien was a mere cute innocent and vulnerable human boy, so the deadly sins felt insulted to have him treated as one of them except for Aragon, the sin of pride, who adored and cherished Damien.
His other siblings on the other hand, bullied Damien, keeping him locked for days with no food, physically abusing him, and continuously preying on his credulity. All Damien wanted was to feel loved but found it neither with his father, nor Hela, nor his siblings, except Aragon who always protected him as much as he could.
As years passed, Damien grew flourishly despite the constant hate being hurled at him. He was fifteen years old, a fine young boy, and was undergoing combat training to unlock his abilities that still remained dormant. His siblings and Hela believed Damien was nothing but a mere human and had no ability, but king Elvis had hope that there was more to Damien than meets the eye. And if he was a mere human like they say, he wouldn't have survived their cruelty to this day.
On a very unfortunate day, Aragon and king Elvis went out of town for official business, queen Hela was busy with her own thing and there was no one to keep an eye on Damien. He was in the middle of training when Avaa, Gula, and Levi, interrupted them. They forced his master to release him early saying he was summoned by their father, and so Damien's training master agreed and let them take him.
Damien was still young but was extremely smart. He'd always feel nervous around them, and even on that day, he was on alert and cautiously followed them. They lured him into the woods saying that was where king Elvis was awaiting him. Damien had a bad feeling in his gut, the whole engagement spelled something ominous, but he had no other choice and kept following them.
They reached a clearing in the woods and that is where they stopped.
Levi and Gula started hitting him, throwing him into the trees, and strangling him till he's about to kick the bucket, then release him, let him catch his breath, and repeat the process all over again.
Avaa stood watch and would laugh every time they hit him, she found amusement in his pain.
Everything was running smoothly according to their maniacal plan until Gula took it too far. He grabbed Damien by the neck, pinned him against a willow tree, and suspended him above the ground.
Damien was struggling under Gula's grasp - his feet dangling back and forth as he desperately tries to breathe. He was running out of air but Gula wasn't budging.
Avaa grew worried, "that is enough Gula, let the boy go! He is running out of air!"
"When did you get so weak sister?" Gula mocked.
She rolled her eyes, "I'm not weak! But father will kill you if you end up killing his favorite son!"
"You are right, that will only happen if… HE finds out!" Gula giggled devilishly.
Levi smirked, "and the three of us won't say anything to anyone!"
Avaa hissed, "Are you two idiots? what about his master?"
"I will take care of his master. Worry not sister, we all want this annoying dirty little peasant out of our lives! We'd be doing this world a favor by finally taking him out!" Levi added, grinning wickedly.
Damien watched Avaa with desperation, silently praying and hoping she'd stop them. For a brief second, she held Damien's gaze, it looked like she was feeling something, perhaps sympathy towards him, but then, she heaved a heavy sigh of annoyance and shook her head,
"Do whatever you want, but make it fast!" As she said, she turned away from them.
Damien was shocked, terrified, but above else, he was heartbroken. He knew they hated him but what he didn't expect was they'd plot to kill him like this, with no remorse, despite all they've put him through.
Frightened and frustrated, Damien felt a powerful urge to survive, for the first time in his life, he felt the desire to hurt them back.
And so as he screamed, a force so powerful exploded from within him, the impact sweeping his siblings off their feet and hurling them into the trees. Gula was the one closest to him when his chaos unleashed, and received the most of the impact. Gula was hurled and glued to a nearby tree.
Damien's eyes were blazing flame as he glared at Gula - who is struggling to free himself. Gula finally freed himself and felt flat on his face.
Gula was huge and scrawny, he was way taller and bigger than Damien who looked frail and weak.
Embarrassed by what Damien did to him, he rose to his feet and charged towards Damien aiming to attack, but even before his hand could touch Damien's skin, Damien punched him, his fist sank into Gula's chest and the force of his punch threw Gula across. When Gula crashed on the ground, he was already dead.
Avaa and Levi, who watched with horror as their brother was battered to the floor, ran to his aid. As soon as they realized Gula was lifeless, they panicked,
"What the hell? What do we do Levi?" Avaa screamed.
Levi snapped, "how the hell should i know?"
King Elvis and Aragon had returned from their journey when Damien's training master approached and asked where Damien was. When they showed no recollection of his whereabouts, he narrated how the three siblings came and took Damien away.
Terrified of what they might do to his son, king Elvis and Aragon dashed into the woods on their horses. When they finally reached where Damien and his siblings were, the first thing they noticed was Gula's pale dead body, then Avaa and Levi, on their knees, bleeding out of their noses, ears, and eyes, and are groaning in pain.
And there Damien was, glaring down at them, his eyes were bereft of any emotion, he was watching them dwell in pain with rather relief and amusement.
King Elvis realized it was Damien hurting them, "that is enough boy!" He interfered.
Damien glared at king Elvis, and instantly, his body started trembling, it felt like an invisible force was pulling him, though he tried to fight it, he failed miserably and fell to his knees. His insides felt as if they were being cooked, he also started bleeding out of his nose, ears, and eyes.
Aragon was the last one standing, he reflexively stepped in between them and Damien, "Hey, look at me. Damien, Hey!!"
Damien was in a dark place and was swamped by rage, he was feeling lost and only jerked back to his senses when he heard Aragon's voice desperately calling him out.
"Brother?" Damien cried, rushing into Aragon's arms.
Damien's attention was successfully averted from them and they were finally out of danger, the pain instantly stopped. They could finally catch their breaths and were panting heavily.
Aragon embraced Damien back, caressing his hair gently, "it's okay, you are safe now, no one will hurt you again… no one!"
