Cara scoffed in disbelief, "the hell are you doing here?"
"That is no way to welcome someone you haven't seen for so long!" She treads seductively down the stairs, "Damien also spoke with no respect, but i guess you've seen what just happened right? So how about you, him, and the new face… whoever SHE might be, get the fuck seated and listen when i speak!"
She made it sound like a request but her body language exuded authority and they all felt the command. She headed to the dining area, they followed and sat only when she's settled on the head of the table.
"Look at your faces, you really do hate that i am here! Scared i might ruin this little 'family' thing you got going on?" She teased.
Damien sighed and looked the other way. Cara mustered the courage to speak, "What do you want, Varra?!
Varra laughs, "what i want is none of your concern scales, I am here for my brother!" She said, taking a glance at Damien.
A sister? So Damien Cold has a family? Blair thought to herself.
"What do you want, sister?" He asked, barely a whisper, and without maintaining eye contact.
Varra smirked, "You don't even want to look at me? Why? Afraid i might bring out the evil self you keep locked in that stone?"
He brings his hand smashing down the table, "Can you just stop whatever this is and leave?"
"Do not yell at me Damien!" She shouts him down, "show me respect!" She commanded.
"Please Varra, why are you here? What do you want?" Cara questioned hesitantly.
Varra tilts her head, eyes leering over Cara in a slow perusal, "you spend time with Damien, and you think you are one as him? What did i tell you about speaking to me directly, Cara?"
Cara gulped and lowered her gaze, "I'm sorry!"
One moment, her alluring green orbs were shooting daggers, and in the next, she is laughing as if a clown.
Why are they both tensed because she's here? If she is Damien's sister, why do they both fear her?
Blair was thinking in her head and didn't realize she'd been staring at Varra the entire time.
"You!" Varra snapped her fingers in Blair's face, "you are a new face, who are you?"
Blair came back to her senses, "I am, my name is Blair!"
Varra laughs hard, "why would you think i would want to know your name? Let me be precise, what are you?"
"I am a human!" Blair responded.
Varra snickered, then bursts into a loud feats of laughter, "is that a joke? You now keep humans around you? How low are you going to keep dragging yourself brother?"
She stands and inhaled, then exhaled sharply, "I really missed the old Damien, though he was kind of a brat, he fit in just perfectly. But this Damien in front of me, he is just so pathetic I can't spend another second with him!"
She turned to leave but stopped and span around, "the family says hi, your real family!"
With those words, she leave.
Damien darts to his feet - knocking his chair down, and letting out a frustrated scream, then he stormed off.
Cara watches his retreating figure with concern, "today is not a good day!"
"What is going between Damien and his sister? Why do i feel there's something i'm missing out on? Blair asked.
Cara stands, "you are right Blair, family sometimes can be worse than foe, sleep tight!"
She gave her a gentle pat on the shoulder and sailed away.
Blair returned to her room thinking about what happened. The tension between Damien and his sister was too toxic and intense. Their story piques her interest.
Cara was in her bedroom preparing for bed when someone knocks on the door, "it's me Zion!"
"I know!" She opened the door and let him in.
"I heard what happened today, are you okay?" Zion inquired, leaning against the wall while Cara settled heavily on her bad,
"You know how Damien is with his siblings, it was intense, and I'm pretty sure he's off somewhere letting out some steam, he needs to let someone share some of his burden!"
"We've been working with him for decades and he still does not let us in, I don't think there's anyone alive that can get through to him!" He responded.
Cara chuckled, "that is very true!"
"And i know how Damien would be, so I wasn't exactly asking about him. I was asking about you, so are you okay? I also heard you visited you Oceania to meet your parents, how did it go?" Zion asked with concern.
"How do you think?" She sighed heavily, "we ended up fighting as always!"
"I know how they make you feel, but nonetheless, family is important Cara, YOU ARE important! So stop bottling your emotions and let someone in, it doesn't have to be me, though i wouldn't complain if you choose me!" He laughed shortly, "good night Cara!"
"Good night!" She smiled.
He smiled back and sailed out of her room.
The next morning
Blair couldn't sleep a wink, and as soon as the night cleared away, she dashed to Cara's bedroom and kept knocking until she opened the door,
"The hell? Blair? Is everything okay? Why are you here early?" Cara asked shockingly.
"I could not sleep, i need to know!" She barged into the room and crashed on Cara's bed.
Taken aback by her sudden move, Cara shook her head in mesmerization, closed the door, and sat next to Blair,
"So? What is it you would like to know? And it better as hell be an important question!"
"Damien and his sister, what am i missing? Why does he have a sister? I thought he is a half demon, so why does it suddenly feel like it's all fabricated? WHO is Damien Cold?" She rained down her questions at Cara and only paused when she was done.
Cara scoffs in shock, "Wow! That's a lot of questions, but i understand why you are so curious! Does demons even exist? If it's true then why is he the only one of his kind? I asked similar questions too when i first met Damien, something felt out of place!"
She paused, chuckled, then continue, "you are right, Damien Cold is not who the world thinks he is and he is no demon!"
Cara paused dramatically, Blair leaning, the suspense growing, and her curiosity magnifying.
Eventually, Cara speaks,
"Truth is, Damien cold is not a demon, but actually the seventh member of the notorious deadly sins!"
She looked up at Blair whose mouth is hanging wide open from the shock, then she said,
"HE is the sin of wrath!"
