Chapter 41
The room continued to be filled with dazzling light, leaving Alex both confused and tormented by it. After some time, Alex attempted to command the luminous object since it had recognized him as its master. However, ordering it to stop glowing proved futile, as the orb continued to emit light as if it were an eternal star.
Feeling helpless, Alex realized that the glowing orb wasn't responding to his commands. He then tried to create a space to isolate himself from the rocks and dirt around him, but even this attempt proved useless.
"Ah, what a very annoying thing!" Alex exclaimed helplessly.
Frustrated and uncomfortable, Alex considered leaving the ring room. The situation had become too overwhelming for him to handle.
When Alex arrived at his room, he found it difficult to see because he was not accustomed to the intense light in the room. After a while, he finally adjusted, and his vision returned to normal.
Alex took a moment to calm down, lying heavily on the bed, his body drenched in sweat. He was terrified at the idea of the glowing orb falling on him, but fortunately, it emitted no heat at all.
"If this orb emitted heat, it would be like having my sun!" Alex exclaimed, horrified by the thought.
Suddenly, an idea struck him. "Can this be done?" he asked himself.
Excited by the possibility, Alex rushed back into the ring room. However, as soon as he entered, the intense light once again pierced his eyes.
"Oh, my eyes!" Alex shouted in discomfort.
Unable to bear it, Alex gave a direct order to the space to create filaments around the glowing orb and started lifting it high. Slowly but surely, the glowing orb rose into the sky, and the previously intense and focused light finally dispersed, no longer blinding.
Alex felt relieved and somewhat elated. "Phew, luckily. Maybe with this thing, we can solve a lot of problems, using it as the sun in this space," he said, nodding.
As he pondered this idea, strange information instantly transmitted from the ring, as if the ring knew what Alex wanted to do.
"Ah, there are still more useful things like this?" Alex exclaimed, sifting through the information that had just been sent.
After being sure of his decision, Alex immediately ordered the space to execute the plan conveyed by the information.
With that, the floating glowing ball slowly disappeared into space.
When the luminous orb completely dissipated, a new luminous orb appeared, giving off the same light as before and also emitting heat. Alex nodded in approval.
His idea of making the luminous orb of the sun was accepted by space, and the orb became an integral part of the space ring. With this, there would be a sun in space from now on.
The sun's orbit was almost the same as that of the sun and moon, aligning with the beliefs of the flat earth sect people. Alex found this information intriguing. "Does this mean that the flat-Earthers' thinking is not completely wrong?" he wondered.
However, after pondering the matter, Alex no longer cared about it. He was now delighted because the saltwater he brought from the sea would no longer be toxic to the land and creatures around him.
Alex created a river that flowed from the core of the island and spread to the outskirts, revitalizing the ecology to resemble the original wilderness.
Satisfied with the changes, Alex was about to leave, but then he remembered the mysterious box. "Ah, right! I wonder if it will have any effect if I use my blood?" he thought.
Alex took out all of his items and started dripping blood onto the mysterious box. Unlike the dazzling display of the glowing orb, there were no flashy effects this time. However, Alex could feel the power of the nutrient source and the rich soil within the box.
With this, Alex attempted to absorb the box into the ring space, just like he did with the glowing orb. To his surprise, the box melted and was absorbed into the ground.
After this event, the atmosphere within the ring space changed significantly. Slowly but surely, the aura within the space increased, causing the plants to grow massively. The land area of the space island expanded, stretching beyond Alex's line of sight.
What delighted Alex the most was the growth of the Tree of Life, which showed signs of flourishing. The transformation continued until the phenomenon reached its conclusion, leaving behind lush forests in the Natural gardens and ripe vegetables in the Artificial gardens. And it didn't stop there; the ring space expanded further, now covering an area equivalent to five football fields.
With time to spare and still full of energy, Alex harvested all the vegetables and fruits to store in the static space, which had also grown and was the size of two football fields.
Afterward, Alex emerged from the room and took a shower before joining his wife in the kitchen to cook. As they prepared the meal, the couple playfully teased each other, further deepening their bond.
In the dining room, Lilith observed the smiles on her parents' faces and felt a sense of curiosity. Nevertheless, she didn't dwell on it too much; her primary focus was on the delicious food her father was preparing.
"It's so delicious!" she exclaimed happily.
…
Two days later, Alex once again went to town to check the inspection report for his peaches. When he arrived in front of the familiar female staff, he immediately explained his intentions.
The female staff member, upon seeing Alex, felt a bit puzzled. He looked the same as before, not someone who seemed overly serious. She assumed he was just playing around with money.
However, when she examined the substances inside the seemingly ordinary peach and saw the test reports, she couldn't help but be stunned. Even the experts in charge of testing the fruit were amazed by the incredible nutritional value of the peach.
"Oh, Mr. Russell, you can sign here and also make the payment immediately..." she said, still in a state of surprise.
Alex completed the payment following all the necessary procedures and received the appropriate file. He returned to his car to examine the related trial results.
As he expected, Alex was delighted to see the data in front of him. All the nutrients in the fruit had increased several times, but there were no suspicious active substances indicated in the report. This confirmed Alex's theory that infusing things with the dew of life in the right dose would create an unknown active substance.
Based on the information provided by the ring, Alex believed that the active substance generated after coming into contact with the dew of life was a beneficial component.
Therefore, Alex limited its use only to himself and his family. He was also afraid that others, like the red bear, would find out about this valuable resource and try to take it away from him. Even though he had the space to hide his family, they were all still normal humans who were social creatures. Isolating them for one or two weeks might be manageable, but if it was for a longer duration, it could drive everyone crazy.
With this in mind, Alex nodded and then sent a message to Ethan that the fruits were ripe. After sending the message, Alex got into his car. Instead of heading straight back to his village, he drove to a familiar bank.
When Alex arrived in front of the bank, he felt a bit apprehensive, wondering if he would be kicked out again. It wasn't that Alex was afraid of people, but being the center of attention, like a monkey in a zoo, made him uncomfortable.
However, he knew he had to go in, so he forced himself to enter despite the discomfort. Inside, the security seemed to recognize him, but since there hadn't been any issues or a blacklist notice, they just observed him closely.
Feeling uncomfortable with all the attention, Alex proceeded with the queue procedure based on his memory. After taking a queue, a female staff member hurriedly walked towards the office.
Alex, who was keenly aware of the situation, knew what the staff wanted to do. And sure enough, after a while, a proud and smug figure emerged from one of the rooms.
The person's face displayed an air of extreme pride as he sneered in Alex's direction. It was evident that he no longer intended to wait for Alex like before and was eager to kick him out immediately.
Indeed, Baka was eager to carry out his intentions. Before he kicked Alex out of the bank, he had received plenty of compliments from the guys in the gang, which pleased him.
However, despite Baka's desire to blacklist Alex from the bank, Alex managed to pay off the bank's debt last month through a certain relationship. Now, Baka was contemplating how to proceed and make sure Alex faced difficulties in any future transactions or borrowing attempts at the bank.
With a smug smile, Baka approached Alex and asked, "Oh, Mr. Russell, what are you doing in our little bank? Is there anything I can help you with?"
Alex, who saw the other party's mocking smile, couldn't help but scoff in his heart. "No, sir Baka, I just want to pay off the bank loan," Alex said calmly.
Baka, upon hearing this, sneered and didn't say anything further, but he continued to watch Alex from the side.
The situation dragged on for a long time, but surprisingly, Alex's turn was called quite quickly, almost as if someone had intentionally pushed him ahead in the queue. Alex suspected that he might be framed, but the system had already called his number, leaving him with no choice but to proceed to the relevant counter.
To his surprise, the payment process went smoothly without any issues, leaving Alex confused about the whole situation. He couldn't help but wonder if something had gone wrong or if Baka had any involvement in it.
But when Alex saw Baka, who was smiling haughtily, he became certain that the other party hadn't made his move yet.
After completing all the necessary procedures, the only thing left was to send the money. However, just as Alex was about to do so, a staff member approached him with a slightly troubled expression.
"Sorry, sir, it seems you have some credit card payment arrears, so you can't make any payments at the moment," the staff member explained.
