Chapter 47 - Against the Gang

Chapter 47

The people around him became agitated, especially the burly figure who had just threatened him. It was clear that Alex had blatantly damaged their pride.

With this, everyone in the burly group started looking at each other with inquiring eyes.

After a few moments of silent communication among themselves, the group of people finally decided to teach Alex a meaningful lesson.

"Since this friend isn't very kind, please forgive us for being a little rough."

The men burly walked toward Alex, and meanwhile, the bystanders around them started backing away as they got involved in the impending conflict.

Alex remained frozen in place as the group of muscular men advanced.

The group of people around no longer harbored thoughts that Alex would win or survive this ordeal.

"Hehehe, I want to see how long your haughty posture will last, young man!" the old madman said softly, anticipating an entertaining spectacle.

After a while, the burly group finally surrounded Alex from all sides. Then, they stared at each other before one of them took the initiative to attack.

With that, everyone began taking turns attacking, while Alex appeared completely indifferent as if the people around him were insignificant.

The surrounding group had earlier mocked Alex for his nonchalant attitude, but after a while, their eyes widened in astonishment.

The reason is that Alex, with only one hand, effortlessly dodges incoming attacks and counters his opponents with ease.

The skills Alex displayed were so mesmerizing that it made everyone doubt whether they were witnessing a movie scene instead of an actual fight against the burly group.

The crazy old man also stared in disbelief. He rubbed his eyes, hoping that what he was seeing would transform into a scene where Alex was supposed to be defeated.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen; instead, the burly group was decisively defeated, leaving them pitifully on the ground.

Satisfied with his victory, Alex looked disdainfully at the people around him, as if he were looking at ants.

"Well, Crazy Old, I want to see how long your haughty demeanor will last," Alex said calmly."

The crazy old man gasped upon hearing this. He felt threatened by the other party. What made the threat particularly frightening was that the very words had already been mentioned by the madman before, but he had spoken them in such a low pitch that they were impossible for anyone else to hear.

It was clear that the person he was facing was not ordinary.

Despite his fear of the consequences of offending a powerful individual, the old madman soon reverted to his previous haughty demeanor.

"What if you're strong? You've offended the Bear Gang, and they surely won't let you get away with this!" the old madman scolded Alex.

The more the old madman pondered about it, the more he felt that his words held some truth.

With a newfound excitement, the old madman dialed a number and began explaining the situation with a hint of "embellishment", before finally concluding the call.

Observing this, Alex remained unperturbed. He simply continued to sneer in silence, patiently waiting for any reinforcements the old man might bring.

Meanwhile, the surrounding group of people, who were slowly regaining their senses, began to exchange hushed whispers.

"Wow! Who would have thought we'd witness such a spectacular fight!"

"Indeed, it's becoming clear that the person being falsely accused by the old madman this time is no ordinary individual!"

"Exactly! Did you see how effortlessly he defeated the members of the bear gang, even with just one hand?"

"Hmph, but so what! Even though he is strong, he is just alone. He has now clearly provoked the bear gang himself after this thrashing."

"Yeah, it appears that this person's fate is set to take a turn for the worse!"

The words of the people around amused Alex a little. Somehow, these nonsensical words seemed like an attempt to provoke Alex. It was as if they wanted to challenge him with the fact that he could not be underestimated!

After a while, a group of even burlier individuals arrived.

The newly arrived burly group displayed a fiercely aggressive posture as they drove up and disembarked from their vehicle.

Upon arrival, they noticed several of their comrades lying weakly on the ground, but they seemed unconcerned. Instead, they immediately approached the old madman and questioned him with an air of arrogance.

"Old man, who is this person you've been talking about?!"

"Yeah, how dare he belittle our gang!"

"Crazy old man, hurry up and tell us!"

The old madman, witnessing the fiery anger of this group, couldn't help but smile in satisfaction. He promptly informed them that Alex was the person they were looking for.

Subsequently, the group fixed their vicious gazes upon Alex.

"Well, well, my friend, do you think too highly of yourself?"

"Yes, even though you can beat some–"

"Hurry up, I'm in a hurry, don't waste my time with your bullshit!" Alex once again cut off their haughty words.

The surrounding group of burly individuals grew angrier and prepared to confront Alex physically.

Meanwhile, one of the people who was equally annoyed felt a sense of familiarity.

"Why does this person look familiar?" The gang member couldn't help but search his memory for where he had seen the person before.

The puzzled gang member turned out to be the fourth little bear.

Subconsciously, he hesitated to attack, as something about Alex seemed oddly familiar to him.

Meanwhile, the enraged gang members began to surround Alex, poised to attack and beat him up.

They launched their assault with ferocity, yet just as before, Alex didn't flinch at all, almost as if the people around couldn't harm him.

As expected, after a few moments, the place was filled with screams and commotion. However, these sounds didn't come from Alex's mouth; they were emitted by every member of the burly gang that Alex had just taught a lesson.

The fourth little bear, who had previously hesitated and sensed a familiarity in Alex's demeanor, finally recollected who the person before him was, thanks to Alex's brutal fighting style.

At this realization, the fourth little bear couldn't help but break into a nervous sweat. He recalled the boss's warning not to tangle with the individual before them until they had uncovered the other party's influential connections.

Meanwhile, the crazy old man was once again overcome with frustration. He had initially believed that the group that had arrived this time could deceive Alex, only to find out that it was, in fact, Alex who had outwitted them.

The old madman was initially concerned but eventually reverted to his previous conviction. He reassured himself that Alex's audacity was due to a deeper clash with the bear gang.

With this in mind, the old man regained his composure and proceeded to contact the bear gang once more.

Meanwhile, Alex remained nonchalantly stationed where he stood, devoid of any visible scratches or signs of battle on his body.

It was no wonder that anyone who laid eyes on Alex now couldn't help but be astonished.

The crazed old man then summoned the fourth little bear with a loud voice. The dazed figure of the fourth little bear regained his senses and approached the crazed old man.

Once before the crazed old man, the fourth little bear delivered a forceful punch.

"Ah!"

The sudden turn of events took everyone around by surprise.

The old madman, who had just made the call, looked at the fourth little bear with an ugly expression, as if he had been wronged.

Disregarding the matter, the figure of the fourth little bear began issuing orders to the elder madman.

"Turn off your phone,"

"But I—"

"I said turn off your phone!" With this, the fourth little bear emanated a palpable killing intent, which left the old madman utterly terrified and compelled to comply.

Observing the fearful posture of the crazed old man, the fourth little bear paid it no mind and proceeded to approach Alex. Onlookers, including Alex himself, assumed that the fourth little bear intended to confront Alex and stir up trouble.

However, to everyone's surprise, upon arriving in front of Alex, the fourth little bear instead bowed apologetically.

"We beg your forgiveness, Mr. Russell. We were blind and acted disrespectfully towards you."

The surrounding onlookers were left stunned by this unexpected turn of events. They had never imagined that the typically audacious and arrogant bear gang would display such magnanimity on this day.

Meanwhile, Alex was taken aback yet somewhat accustomed to the fact that he had clashed with these individuals before.

However, the individual most taken by surprise was the old madman, who never anticipated that Alex would still be recognized by the gang members.

"Very well then. I won't trouble you any longer. But be forewarned, should your associates seek conflict with me again, they should not expect the same benevolence they experienced today!"

With those words, Alex emitted a coercive killing intent of his own, a hundredfold more potent than the one the fourth little bear had released earlier.

Not only was Alex's killing intent more potent, its impact was so far-reaching that it left the spectators gasping for air, unable to breathe.

After a while, Alex withdrew his intense killing intent and turned to leave the scene.

Alex's previous frustration had dissipated since he had already confronted a few of the individuals, but he chose not to depart immediately, concerned that these people might seek revenge against his family.

Since the individuals were affiliated with the Bear gang, Alex knew he should keep tabs on them in case any further trouble arose.

As Alex was about to resume walking, he was abruptly halted by the fourth little bear.

"Mr. Russell, due to our neglect, we offer any item from this establishment as a gesture to appease your anger," the fourth little bear proposed.

The old madman, upon hearing this, shot the fourth little bear a disapproving look, which was swiftly silenced by the fourth bear's concentrated killing intent.

Though not as formidable as Alex's, the fourth little bear's killing intent still compelled the old madman to comply.

Alex, upon hearing this offer, found himself oddly pleased for some reason.
