Chapter 37: Birth of Farmland
Yesterday, I cultivated the farmland and built a house as well.
It was a fulfilling day, and it seems that Sui also liked the house.
Having a house is essential, and I'm satisfied that I could build one immediately.
This place is called the frontier, and life can be challenging in various ways, so having a house was necessary.
Since I became an alchemist, I used alchemical magic to bind and restrain monsters for the sake of the country.
It was very convenient.
But now, things are a little different because I'm using alchemical magic to live with Sui.
There's a distinct difference, and it brings me joy.
I also registered with the Adventurers' Guild for the sake of the country and did my best, but I ended up being expelled from the guild.
Now I feel a great sense of fulfillment.
Before the expulsion, I didn't feel much fulfillment, I suppose.
After all, they said I was useless.
Living in this remote place, I realized that I can lead a fulfilling life.
Especially with Sui.
It might be lonely on my own, but with Sui, I never feel lonely.
I'm glad to have Sui as my companion.
At first, I was hesitant to make her my companion, though.
Sui is not inside the house right now; it seems she's outside.
She went out to breathe some fresh air, but...
"T-t-t-t-ta-ta-ta-ta... Franz-sama, something terrible has happened!"
Sui rushed back inside in a panic.
What's wrong? She's in such a state of panic.
Could it be an enemy?
If a new enemy has appeared, it would be serious.
"What happened? Calm down! Tell me slowly."
"Yes, yes, I'll tell you slowly! The reason I'm in a panic is that something terrible has happened to the farmland. When I woke up this morning and went outside to breathe some air, the farmland was incredible!"
"The farmland is incredible? We cultivated the farmland yesterday and planted the seeds. All you did was water it. Nothing should have happened."
Sui seemed panicked about the state of the farmland.
She's so worked up that even her breathing is erratic. Is she okay?
The farmland has been watered, and if the weather is good today, it might be a good idea to water it again.
I think the sprouts will start appearing soon.
"There are sprouts! Many sprouts!"
