Chapter 25: Obtaining Water
"I didn't know Sue could produce water!"
"I am Sue, the Ice Dragon. My attribute is water, and I can transform into ice. Unlike in my dragon form, I don't have the power to attack cities, destroy them, or defeat hundreds of adventurers using water like a true dragon. However, I can produce enough water for agricultural and drinking purposes."
"Amazing, Sue! You're definitely a magical dragon!"
That's right, Sue is an Ice Dragon, so her ice attacks were nothing to scoff at during battles.
As a world-shaking magical dragon, even though she transforms into a humanoid form, her offensive and defensive capabilities have slightly diminished, but she can produce water.
I had forgotten about that.
If Sue could provide water daily, life in the territory would change completely.
Coming to this frontier, I realized that humans couldn't survive without water.
I requested Sue,
"In that case, I'd like to ask for a little water. Could you pour water on the area where I planted the seeds?"
"Understood. I will use my water attribute, which is my specialty!"
Sue began pouring water around the area where I planted the seeds.
Amazing, water was truly coming out!
Water was flowing from her hand.
It fell evenly as if it were raining.
Thanks to Sue, the soil absorbed the water, creating a favorable environment.
Any farmland is useless without water.
"Thank you, Sue. It's shocking to see water coming out of your hand!"
"To receive praise from Lord Franz... I'm delighted!"
"Could you always produce water from your hand?"
"No, in my dragon form, it came from my mouth. Besides, I don't even have hands, only forelimbs and hind limbs."
"That's right, I remember it being powerful when you spewed it from your mouth as a dragon."
"Now that the plants have received water and the seeds are planted, we just have to wait for a few months. We'll wait for the sprouts."
"It's true, sprouts don't appear immediately. Farming is quite a difficult task. The reason there are no farmers among demons or magical dragons is probably because it's troublesome."
"Yeah, farming seems to be the job of humans, elves, and beastmen. I've never seen monsters involved in agriculture."
As Sue said, it's unlikely that monsters engage in agriculture, as they probably don't eat vegetables.
Though they might eat naturally grown potatoes or chestnuts.
