Chapter 4: Guild Master's Perspective
"T-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-tap-san, something terrible has happened!!!"
In a panic, a guild staff member rushed into the Guild Master's room.
"What's the matter?"
The Guild Master had just expelled the alchemist Franz and was elegantly smoking a cigarette.
He believed that the Alchemy Guild suited Franz better than the Adventurer Guild, which was a burden.
"I have a report from our country's Knight Order!!! It seems that an A-rank monster, a Wyvern, is rampaging!!!"
"What? Why would a Wyvern suddenly appear? It hasn't been discovered anywhere until now."
As far as I know, Wyvern-class monsters shouldn't have been sighted in the vicinity.
Why did it suddenly appear?
Then another subordinate arrived and said,
"Master, something terrible has happened!! We have received reports of a violent Gigantes appearing in the mountains near the royal capital!!!"
"A Gigantes? That's an A-rank monster. I haven't heard anything about it before!!!"
Again? What's going on? Why are powerful monsters suddenly appearing?
Another subordinate came running and reported to Tap.
"Tap-san!! A ferocious monster, a Behemoth, has appeared in the southern forest!!!"
"A Behemoth? That's an S-rank monster. That's ridiculous, there's no way it exists, and it was believed to be absent in our country. Why did it suddenly appear?"
"I don't know. Abnormal monsters have been confirmed one after another within the country! Besides the reported monsters, there are a large number of them! The Knight Order is no longer able to handle the situation, so they are requesting assistance from the guild!! They are asking for support from S-rank and A-rank parties as well!"
Well, that's to be expected. It's clear that the Kingdom's Knight Order doesn't have enough power even if they march out.
The opponents are unbeatable.
If it's just one, we can mobilize the entire force and defeat it.
What the hell is going on?
Why did this happen?
In any case, as a guild, we have no choice but to request support from the hero party.
They should be fine, after all, we expelled the useless alchemist and became stronger.
