Chapter 9: The Legendary Dragon
"Because it is natural for us Dragon Demons to never lose. However, if, by any chance, we were to lose, there is a tradition to become the master of that person. Don't you agree, Lord Franz? Please become my master."
"Though it's sudden, I don't mind you becoming my comrade. I am currently not affiliated with any party, I am a free agent. Will you become my comrade?"
"Please, Lord Franz. I will become Lord Franz's comrade."
I couldn't believe that I had acquired a comrade. And then, the Ice Dragon suddenly started shrinking and its appearance began to change.
Gradually becoming smaller, it transformed from a dragon into a human, taking on the form of a beautiful girl.
What is this? Being able to transform into a beautiful girl, what a convenient ability.
"You can transform?"
"Yes, I can change from the form of a dragon to that of a human. It is in order to become Franz-sama's servant. Didn't you know that when that happens, the dragon's appearance changes?"
"I wouldn't know!! I don't have any dragon friends. I didn't know about the dragon clan's transformative nature or the tradition of becoming a master. But now that you've become my comrade, is it alright for us to adventure together?"
"Yes, I will adventure with you, Franz-sama!"
The Ice Dragon replied with a smile.
Her hair was blue, just like the Ice Dragon's, and it was cute.
She was wearing clothes that resembled armor, with dragon patterns on them, and it suited her very well.
"I was surprised to see you take on a human form. But now that we're going on an adventure together, you need a name. Calling you Ice Dragon is fine, but it might be inconvenient. I wonder what would be best."
"You can decide, Franz-sama. I will accept the name you choose for me. Please give me any name you like."
He asked me to give him a name, but I'm not good at coming up with names like this.
It's different from naming dogs or cats, and I wouldn't want to give him a weird name that he dislikes.
Hmm, how about "Sui" since it's related to water and the blue imagery of ice?
"What about Sui?"
"Sui, Sui, Sui! I will become Franz-sama's Sui!"
"That's great! I'm glad you liked it. Then it's decided, Sui. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you, Franz-sama."
