Chapter 39 - Chapter 38

Chapter 38: Gathering Monsters!

"Is this a monster?"

Among the collected items, there was clearly a large fish-like creature that seemed to be a monster, unlike regular fish.

Kuro answered that it was a type of "Rainbow Trout."

Indeed, although their shapes are similar, they differ in color.

They are distinguished by seven colors: "Red Trout," "Yellow Trout," "Blue Trout," and so on.

In this world, there are many other monster species that are also divided by color.

For now, I decided to repeatedly fish until I complete the seven-color collection.

If they are of the same color, I will temporarily store them in the item box and release them later.

There are "Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet," but it's difficult to distinguish between the blue-colored Blue Trout and the indigo-colored Indigo Trout.

Except for the violet-colored Violet Trout, I caught ten of each and released them.

Although I caught two Violet Trouts, I couldn't capture the third one.

I'm not sure if it's rare or if they inhabit a different area, but I give up and head back to the land.

We grill the fish on the riverbank and have it for lunch.

Shiro and Kuro prefer it raw, so they eat it as it is.

I truly regret not having any seasoning with our meals.

There was some in the Gondo Village, but I didn't want to ask for it, and now I regret not taking some.

We are walking on what seems to be a road, but we hardly encounter any passersby.

Perhaps it's because monsters appear that there is little human traffic on this road?

This morning as well, shortly after coming out from the riverside, we had a battle with a two-headed snake called the "Twin Headed Snake," but we easily defeated it.

I'm not sure about the balance between my level and abilities.

It's definitely stronger compared to my level, but...

It was an unexpected miscalculation that my skill "Danger Detection" doesn't react when I'm the stronger one.

A black object is coming towards me from the front.

Upon closer inspection, about twenty magical creatures are approaching.

I immediately assume a defensive position.

Upon confirmation, it's a large swarm of yellow killer bees.

"It appears to be a swarm of Yellow Killer Bees."

Kuro calmly analyzes the enemy.

"For now, let's defeat them, Shiro."

"Yes."

I pierce through them with my Wind Bow in one go.

Shiro also uses wind-based magic to bring them down one by one.

Since they seemed poisonous, I kill them and proceed to dissect them.

I separate the core nucleus and flesh and store them in the item box.

"Master, the eyeballs of the Killer Bees can be sold at a high price. It might be efficient for fundraising."

I see, since I don't know what lies ahead, it's safer to defeat them for fundraising purposes!

I enter the nearby forest and actively engage in hunting.

While exploring, I encountered several beings different from before: the "Red Killer Bee" and the "Blue Killer Bee," so I defeated them.

I thought there would be many different colored Killer Bees, but it turns out there are only three types known as "Signal Killer Bees."

Signal Killer Bees complete!

It seems like I've come deep into the forest.

Along the way, I found the skeletal remains of adventurers who had likely perished.

I can't determine the exact number, but it's probably around ten people.

Their clothes were already tattered, and their accessories and weapons remained untouched by the magical creatures.

They seem to be individuals of certain status, as they wear emblem-like weapons and accessories.

It may seem like looting, but I adhere to the principle of taking whatever can be taken, so I stored everything in the item box.

I also use "All-Knowing, Almighty" to check the tree nuts and collect various types.

The item box is truly convenient.
