Volume 4, Chapter 7: Helicopter Aircraft Carrier
The upper deck of the tanker opened, and two Apache combat helicopters emerged.
"Brother, what's that? That's also made of metal, right?"
"It's a combat helicopter. They might have released it as a precautionary measure against the Kraken attack."
At the same time, about eight drones that I had never seen before flew out and scattered around the tanker.
"I wonder if it's for investigation after all."
Even if there were F35B or vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, it wouldn't be strange, but they can't use data links here, so I guess they didn't bring them.
Well, they don't even have artificial satellites here.
In the first place, our side only has magic and living beings, so the situation is different.
However, a huge circular radar system, similar to the Automatic Warning and Control System (Judge System) in Japan, rose up, so it's uncertain whether they brought it or not.
Well, for now, the combat helicopters are undoubtedly the most suitable for operation without any problems.
"Aren't Harriers coming out?"
Duke Izumi Inoue asked.
"Those are also the new F35B, about to be retired."
"The new type?"
"The state-of-the-art stealth fighter."
"A stealth fighter?"
Kasanzaki-san asked.
"It's a fighter plane that uses radar to search for and attack enemies without being detected."
"The Mi-... particle, right?"
Duke Mita Rai shouted.
"No, there were already Nighthawks and Raptors when you were there."
"I don't know. The only thing necessary in life is Gundam."
Duke Mita Rai raised his thumb.
Someone, do something about this guy.
"Well, Harriers would be more useful on their side, but they're using parts from old aircraft for maintenance, so they probably won't bring them."
"I see, the Self-Defense Force's Phantoms have probably been retired too."
Duke Izumi Inoue murmured a little sadly.
"They're still flying."
"For real?"
"For real."
"It's complicated."
"Well, it's complicated, right?"
"Sure, that's fine, but what are we going to do? What? What are we going to do?"
The King interrupted our conversation and interjected.
"For now, it's more like an investigation than an attack, right?"
"Is that so? Can't we see inside the tanker?"
I asked Reina-san.
"Can we see inside?"
"Okay, please."
Reina-san put her hands together for the sake of her skill.
Rain sounds could be heard from the screen.
Huh?
"That's huge."
The king muttered.
"Indeed."
The prime minister nodded.
"No, isn't it something else?"
Appolito laughed.
"Seriously!"
The men of Yamato were surprised.
It turned out to be a shower room.
A busty Caucasian woman was taking a shower.
Seems like something from a B-movie.
I wanted to take a closer look, but Aoi and Murasaki gave me intimidating looks, so I stopped.
Huh?
Why do both of them look scary?
I guess women in this world are just scary.
Murasaki is a crossdresser, though.
"S-Sorry."
Reina-san hastily switched the screen.
"No, thank you."
The king said with a gentle smile, but Princess Miyabi glared at him fiercely.
Next, we could see the situation inside the ship.
There were people wearing camouflage military uniforms and others wearing white lab coats, like researchers.
"I don't really understand, but they might be soldiers, but more likely they're here for investigation purposes," I said while observing.
"What should we do? Should we attack? Should we negotiate?" the king asked.
"Can you show us the hangar? Where the helicopters came out?"
"Yes, I'll try."
Reina-san showed the hangar, and there were eight Apache attack helicopters and about four Harrier IIs.
"Oh, Harriers," Duke Ijuin looked pleased.
"Well, the Harrier is easier to use for maintenance here. That means they have some information on their side," I said.
"What do we do?"
"Huh? Are you asking me?"
"Well, you're the only one here," the king looked at me.
"Don't worry, even if something goes wrong, leave it all to Sh***a. Lieutenant Kunihito will take full responsibility. After all, he's the husband of the daughter you love, so trust him," the prime minister spoke passionately.
"If my daughter Miyabi fails, anyone will do, so I'll do it. I'll give Miyabi to you as well," the king also spoke passionately.
"Am I just a consolation prize or something?" Princess Miyabi had an intense expression.
"You can have a wife too," the king looked delighted.
"I don't need one," I immediately refused.
What are they thinking?
"Leave everything to us, let me handle it all, and if something bad happens, you will take the blame. Of course, there will be a reward in money," I said.
"Very well."
The king nodded.
"Hey, Aoi, are all the Yamato royals like this?"
Kasanzaki-san looked at Aoi.
Aoi nodded deeply.
"I shouldn't have given my daughter away," Kasanzaki-san muttered quietly.
