Chapter 38 - V4C8

Volume Four, Chapter Eight: The Strongest Monster

"Now, I'll ask all of you. Even though I don't know the details, is it okay to destroy that world over there?"

I asked everyone.

"Huh? What are you saying all of a sudden?"

The king said with a dumbfounded voice.

"Mituki said that there's no doubt that one of the worlds will be destroyed, right? Actually, it's uncertain whether it will come true just based on legends, isn't it?"

"Until now, the legends have never been wrong."

The king asserted.

"Brother. That means there must be a way to destroy it, right?"

"That's correct, brother. It should be a much more powerful blow than the one at Yellowstone earlier. That's why I don't want to have any regrets, saying it was different."

I said.

"Don't worry. Lieutenant Kunito will bear everything."

The prime minister spoke passionately.

"That's right. You don't have to worry, my child. Lieutenant Kunito will bear everything."

The king also nodded deeply.

"I'm really an unlucky man, too."

Lieutenant Kunito, disguised as Sh*ia, said again.

Is his sense of self really collapsing?

Somehow, it's really pitiful.

"I really shouldn't have married my daughter to Yamato."

Mr. Kazanzakis murmured with a face that seemed about to cry.

For now, ignoring Mr. Kazanzakis lamenting beside me, I continued.

"I understand. I'll ask Mitsuki. It's our hometown where we were born and lived in the past. Is it okay?"

Mitsuki hesitated, but nodded.

"When I was barely saved in a bus accident and summoned to this world, I had a serious injury. The female officials here took great care of me. That's why I tried my best to help everyone as a way of repaying their kindness."

"I see."

Indeed, the king and the prime minister have no relation to this.

I knew it, but if I marry their daughter, I'll become their father-in-law.

It can't be helped, but at least I'll try not to marry the king's daughter.

I firmly believed so.

"Well then, Your Majesty. It was a promise, right? You'll do anything for me!"

I stared into the king's eyes.

"Very well. Take my daughter as your wife, or bride, or bride, or bride, whichever you prefer."

"Why does it have to be 'bride' three times?"

Princess Miyabi asked, sounding annoyed.

"Because it's something important, I said it three times."

The king had an incredibly cheerful smile.

Mr. Kazanzakis let out an additional sigh of regret by his side.

"Well then, please hand over that thing inside the freezing barrier of the Holy Tree created by my grandfather... the one thing that's there."

"What? How do you know about it?"

The king looked surprised.

"It's in the Royal Library."

"Only members of the royal family should be able to read the experimental records there!"

"Are you seriously that stupid?"

I couldn't help but speak my mind.

"Oh nooooo! You're a member of the royal family!"

The king yelled as he collapsed to his knees.

Tears welled up in Mr. Kazanzakis' eyes.

"No, it's not possible. It's too dangerous."

Reina gave me a sharp look.

"No, we have no choice but to use it."

"Brother, what on earth is it?"

"The strongest monster in history. Probably the most effective against them. It will be their ultimate enemy, even more than the monster Dubon."

"But still!"

Reina shouted as if to say, "Even so."

"King, you may be foolish and useless, always ready to run away, but even so, I know that you have been training individuals with a large number of skill barriers to protect against those monsters."

"What? Is that your true intention?"

"Yes, it's my true intention."

"It hits home. I see, I understand. Reina, use the cage along with everyone who possesses all the skill barriers. The cage made from the branches of the Holy Tree, which will prevent the power of that monster. Use it to bring that monster over here."

Reina nodded as if there was no other choice.

"Then, please use the wyverns. We should be able to return in a few days."

Aoi asked Reina.

"Wait, I'll also go with the three-headed dragon."

Mitsuki followed.

"Alright, when the strongest monster arrives, we'll use it against them."

I said, and everyone nodded in agreement.
