Me, Gyro and Mountain Tim were surprised at what they saw, though I knew this would happen I had to keep up appearances as we saw his nails begin to spin.
"Gyro? Hifumi? What's going on? I-I can feel both the spin and the spiral going through my finger tips!" He said while all the nails on his right hand began to spin.
"Hifumi…. Can the Spiral do that? Because the Spin can't that's for sure." Gyro asks me to which I look at my own hand and try to see if I could.
Though when I tried my nail on my thumb fell off while it spiraled, but it was painful and bleeding making me stop and grab at my thumb, "Ugh, yeah you could but it should be painful to do so, does it hurt Johnny?" I say ripping off what remained of my fingernail before I began to use the Spiral to slowly regenerate it.
"No it doesn't, then what is this?" He couldn't help but ask all while Mountain Tim began to look on around the area and I did the same.
"Master I do believe we are inside of a Devils Palm." Fortunate Son told me and everyone else as he appeared beside me, this freaked out Mountain Tim.
"Damnit! I knew it! We need to get the hell out of here and fast or else we will be lost and maybe even die in this desert!" Mountain Tim said before he whistled out to call his horse.
"No need to be frightened, while compasses and the like don't work while in one, I can guide us out of here, besides do to the fact of the Boom Boom Family's intervention the horses are going to collapse from exhaustion at we would be trapped inside the Devil's Palm regardless." Fortunate Son went onto explain to which I nodded in agreement.
"Its as he said, while Devils Palms can be deadly in normal scenarios, he is the literal embodiment of good fortune one can have, if he says that we can get out and lead the way out then he will get us out, besides we won't lose time and actually gain distance in this race since not only does the terrain move but time itself can move slower or faster while inside of it so if we follow his path we could be going at a casual pace while making the distance we would if our horses were going all out." I said which gave Tim, Gyro and Johnny a bit of a pause to calm down while I whistled and called back Stocking who had taken our horses away from us earlier.
Soon enough she returned and we all got on our horses before making our journey out of the Devils Palm.

Later on the next day.
"I would never think that we would find an actual Oasis within a Devils Palm, this places is supposed to bring nothing but bad luck to anyone inside one." Mountain Tim couldn't help but say after we found this hidden Oasis within the Arizona Desert.
"It's supposed to be just that, nothing but a cursed place to come across, it's supposed to sap people of their luck in exchange for giving those who are fortunate enough the power to unlock their stands, though from what I understand that staying within a Devils Palm allows you to empower your abilities even more so than before, at least that's what my Stand said." I said after feeding my horse while all of them were drinking the Oasis water which looked so clean and clear it was almost unbelievable it even exists.
"Oi Oi Oi, does that mean we are staying within this place in order for your stand to gain strength or something?" Gyro said after I explained what I heard from Fortunate Son.
"Gyro my stand is an embodiment of Fortune itself, it's a concept given form, no matter how long I stay in here my stand isn't going to get stronger unless I get a better understanding of fortune and what it can do to someone, right now all it can do is modify my luck, the luck of those around me and allow me to predict future events and where people are located and if I want it can lead me down the right route in order to get where I need to go the fastest, there is probably way more that my stand can do but I don't understand it yet, but more than anything I'm more focused on learning more about the Spin and use it to perfect my crippled Spiral energy." I went onto explain to him in which he raised an eyebrow while looking at me.
"And how exactly are you crippled? Unlike Johnny over their you can clearly move just fine." He says but I shake my head at that.
I decided to just show him what I meant as I summoned up the most I could of my spiral energy as the green spiraling glow began to go up my legs and body making a thin aura surround me, but as I kept holding that I began to sweat before ultimately I began to cough up blood and fall down to my knees surprising him, Mountain Tim and Johnny who were all watching the spectacle before them.
I coughed some more blood up before wiping my face, "I was much stronger with my Spiral Powers than I was before, however I had to sacrifice my strength to take down a great enemy that I faced back in Asia and it crippled me in the process, the technique I have now is but a fraction of what I previously could do, however I went through a Devils Palm and gained my stand who told me what to do to fix my body so I went to where your family was Gyro, however your father refused to say anything and so I learned that you were coming for this race this the reason why I came here in the first place, I will help you win this race Gyro but just like Johnny I need to learn everything their is to know about the Spin in order for me to heal my damaged body, I hope my sincerity in telling you about my past and my weakness as I am now makes you believe me when I say I need your help." I say to him before I mount my horse and look towards him.
We stare at each other for awhile before he sighs and gets up on his horse, "Fine then, I will teach you what I know so long as I'm the one that wins this race in the end." He says to which I shrug.
"That's fine, besides I've already won 100,000,000$ from this race already, 500 million sounds nice but 100 million is good enough for me." I say before kicking the sides of my horse as Stocking followed me while those three were stunned silly at what I just said.
"…. Oi! Hifumi! What the fuck are you talking about?!" Gyro couldn't help but shout as he followed after us all while I had a shit eating grin on my face.

"Welcome to the Midway Checkpoint for the second stage of the race, your the sixth one to arrive here today." One of the race employees said to a man that had just arrived at the checkpoint.
"…. The Sixth? Not the first?" The man asks the employees.
"Unfortunately not sir, the one who came in first was one Hifumi Yamada, but Gyro Zeppeli who was just behind him got in an argument saying he was supposed to get here first as it was a part of their deal or something, but when we explained that this checkpoint doesn't mean anything to this stage of the race which seemed to calm him down." The guy explained as the man fixed his hat.
"Gyro Zeppeli he's here huh?" He asks as an evil glint went across his eyes.
"Yes he is currently here right now sir, now can you give us your name so it's registered that you arrived at the checkpoint.
"My name huh?" He said looking up to the sky before looking back at the employee.
"The names Oyecomova."
