I enjoyed what Blaise and I did, but I still can't forget Chesca and the two earlier. I can't get off my mind the way the other guy looked at me last time. I don't want to overthink, but I can't really avoid doing that because I'm really scared. It's as if he recognized me, but he just didn't say it out loud because he had a plan.
"Uhm.. wife," Blaise said, and that's why I looked at him. That's when I noticed that we were here in front of our house.
"We're here. I'm sorry for spacing out because I'm tired," I reasoned, though somehow that was also true.
He crinkled his nose and pulled me closer to him. "How is school, by the way? Is your ex still bothering you?"
Fortunately, he was hugging me, so he couldn't see my face. I am certain that I turned pale because of his question.
I swallowed hard. "No one bothers me at school. Then my ex doesn't approach me," I said slowly.
