With a gentle flourish, he presented Jia Li with a bouquet of flowers. "Here, I bought you these flowers," Yuchen said, a warm smile gracing his features.
"Oh my, you shouldn't have gone to such trouble." Jia Li was pleasantly surprised. Thank you." Her eyes crinkled with joy. She accepted the bouquet and brought it close to her nose, inhaling the delicate fragrance. A smile bloomed across her face
"When did you buy flowers?" Elena asked, her curiosity piqued. She had noticed the paper bag but assumed it contained a gift for her father, so Elena didn't ask too much about it when Yuchen carried a paper bag.
"I went to buy them while you were resting," Yuchen replied, his tone soft and affectionate.
