Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: ... you've succeded in wiping out half of the magic beasts in the forest and all for fun.

Justin yawned.

"Then what?" He asked. "The day's almost over and I need to sleep before the hunger gets to my head. If it does, I cannot guarantee that I won't go out to do something bad!" He said and the system fell silent. "You gone?" There was no response so he decided to go to sleep.

Just as he closed his eyes and was slowly falling into the abyss of sleep, he heard the system ring.

(Ding! The gods have added a special item to the store, just for you!)

"If it's not food then leave me alone, I want to sleep!" He said, groggily.

(Of course! It's about food!)

Justin immediately sprang up into a sitting position.

"Really? Now you're talking! Where is it?" He asked, searching around but there was nothing. He felt he was being tricked. "Wait, are you messing with me?" He asked with suspicious eyes.

(Check the store!)

Justin gave the system a suspicious glance before checking the store and there he saw a new item added.

"Never-go-hungry-for-a-week pill? What's this? Another rip off?" He asked and saw the price. "It costs a hundred points? This is definitely a rip off!" He laid back on the ground.

(It's not! Just try it! It's cheap for your own convenience! Besides, what do you have to lose?)

Justin thought. What really did he have to lose?

He bought the pill but still looked at the system suspiciously.

(Go on and take it!)

He put the pill in his mouth and it immediately melted. The feeling in his mouth was like nothing he had very tasted.

(Well?)

"It's sweet but I'm still hun… " he was about to say hungry when he noticed something different. He wasn't hungry anymore.

In fact, he felt so full and that he wouldn't need to eat for a few months!

"This… this… what sort of sorcery is this?" He asked, bewildered.

(I thought you were going to say you were still hungry)

"Tut! Why are you being so petty?" He laid back on the floor. "Ah, the night sky doesn't seem so dark anymore!" He commented and closed his eyes.

The next two weeks rolled by like hot bread. They were filled with nothing but exercise and Justin made sure to complete all of them and receive the rewards as soon as he completed the day's quest.

The word had spread around that the famous Scum had finally gotten what he deserved.

Since Justin didn't really have what to do in the world and he didn't need food either, he stayed couped up in the simulation space and talked with Sally. She was better than all the good people out there combined.

Sometimes, he would go into the forest and try out his new physique. He was stronger, faster and more nimble than he used to be, giving him the upper hand at catching magic beasts.

"These will sell a fortune!" He exclaimed as he stored away their beast cores in the inventory.

He stepped into the simulation space and started out with his daily quests. Once he was done, he accepted the rewards.

"Okay, I think I'm strong enough to take on a special Quest, right?" Justin asked and Sally smiled. He nodded at her smile and checked his stats.

The blue system screen opened up in front of him, displaying his present status.

"This looks nice!" He said with a proud smirk on his chin.

{STATS}

[Strength: 32]

[Dexterity: 30]

[Stamina: 30]

[Agility: 30]

[Defence: 30]

[Constitution: 30]

"I evened the stats just like you suggested and it's looking okay!"

"See, I told you all abilities are as important as the other!" She smiled in delight and he nodded.

"Yeah but I still think my strength level should be higher." He insisted and looked at his current level. "Look at this, I'm still in level one, I've got no title and no special skills. Can I 'please' get a special Quest now? I've been bored out doing only exercises and hunting down magic beasts!"

"But you've succeeded in wiping out half of the magic beasts in the forest and all for fun. Was that boring?" Sally asked and he scratched his head.

"That's just something I do everyday. I need some action in my life, okay?" He sat on a chair and called out with a loud mouth. "Yo, system, I'm ready for a special Quest. You can't just abandon me after forcing me into this." He yelled but there was no response. "Fine! Stay quiet for all I care." He got up and walked out of the simulation space.

Justin felt he was definitely wasting his life away being the so-called gods' chosen. He wasn't seeing the point in accepting the system but wait, he didn't really accept it either. It was forced on him.

"This shit is messing with me!" He muttered and entered the shopping district.

Thanks to the never-go-hungry-for-a-week pill, he didn't need to steal or harass the stall owners.

"Hm, I haven't been to the aristocrat's district in a while!" He said to himself. "I guess I could drop by for a sec!"

With that, he headed for the aristocrat's shopping district. His goal was to piss off the damn nobles and make them regret leaving their fancy houses.

But on the way to the aristocrat's shopping district, he got an unexpected quest.

(Ding! Special Quest Activated!)

{SPECIAL QUEST}

[Save the little red haired girl from getting trampled by a horse carriage]

{REWARDS: Unknown}

{FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE QUEST: The girl dies and user will be struck with lifelong guilt}

[ACCEPT or DECLINE]

Justin was confused. What was this weird quest? And what horse carriage?

Before he knew it, he heard loud noises and panic filled screams of the people.

"Get out of the way!" A horse man yelled as he rode his carriage roughly through the streets.

Justin's eyes looked at the direction the carriage was headed and up front, he saw the little girl. She looked like she couldn't walk because her ankles were twisted.

"Hey system, when I said I wanted a special Quest, I didn't mean this!" He complained.

(Just save the little girl if you want to have more quests in the future!)
