Chapter 6 - (6) Training plan

The former host of the body liked participating in social gatherings a lot. The tea party in Blodraid dukedom was the same, he had received an invitation as he was the wedding partner of Allesia.

And the result was disastrous no matter how it was looked at.

Nicokel's bad image had now just broken through the ground and reached the gutters.

'My reputation will get in the way of me joining the war in the northern borders of the empire. I can't prove my ability as a swordsman or magician, so I will have to gather merit by showing my talent as a strategist.' Nicokel closed his door while contemplating seriously.

Taking a quick bath after ordering the servants, Nicokel wore a new dress and made his way to the library.

"Send my breakfast to the library, tell the chef that I have a low appetite so make something light," Nicokel instructed the maid.

"Understood, young master."

Nicokel waved his hand to shoo away the maid, to which she flinched nastily.

Their reaction was always a sight to see for Nicokel. He had no intention of changing it, so he just enjoyed it.

'I have to take one step at a time from now on. First, some research on different kinds of meat, herbs, and vegetables of this world.' Nicokel asked the librarian and found the book he was looking for in no time.

Flip~

Eating the soft bread with one hand, Nicokel flipped the book with the other. The silence in the library let him put all his concentration into reading the book.

Nicokel flipped the pages every dozen seconds, he could easily understand all the information in the book thanks to his analyzing talent.

By the time he finished the bread, half of the book was already over. There were another three books on the table before Nicokel, so he predicted he would finish reading them all within 20 minutes.

Calling a servant to remove the plate, Nicokel continued reading.

'Oh...So the milk I ate was from a bull animal named Broikler. It is something only exclusively used by the nobles due to its rarity. I was surprised when the milk had strange shiny particles in it. It turned out that it wasn't some flavoring.'

After a while, Nicokel closed the final book and slumped back, recalling all the things he read. Within a few minutes, he came up with the best course to improve his physique the fastest.

Making a list in a paper, Nicokel departed to meet the chef immediately.

The maid who was ordered to lead the way moved with a hardened expression.

"This is it, young master."

"Okay, you can go now." Nicokel entered the kitchen with no hesitation.

Asking around the women working to make some dishes, Nicokel reached before the main chef, a middle-aged woman.

"Make my food using only these ingredients from today onwards, understood?" Nicokel asked for confirmation.

"Y-Yes, it shall be done, young master." The main chef became trembling immediately.

'Huh? What's with her...Ah, I remember now, the past host threw food on her once in the past as he didn't like it.' Nicokel nodded his head and quickly left the kitchen.

Arriving at his room, Nicokel carefully watched his physique. With fat hands and fat legs, he looked like a lazy rich family kid who did nothing but eat every day.

'Let's watch the changes in my body every day. I will get an ideal body before turning 13, which is four months later. I can request to be sent to the frontline to experience the war. If that fails, I heard that there is an academy in the capital. By bringing out satisfactory results, I can directly be deployed in the war. But I will have to wait till I turn 15 if I use that method.'

Nicokel's goal was harder to attain than he initially thought. He had to start everything from scratch, which makes him remember his days as a cadet in the military camp.

A smile was drawn on Nicokel's face, though it appeared ugly in the mirror due to his fat cheeks.

Sitting on the table, Nicokel began reading the multiple books he brought with him.

Making him remember the conversation with the librarian-

"The books about basics of mana and sportsmanship are only accessible to people who are granted permission from the duke. You can only access the books in the general section, young master Nicokel."

Nicokel couldn't help but become curious about the mysterious subject of mana. But he couldn't get his hands on it.

Keeping track of the time, Nicokel closed the book a while before its afternoon. He was sleeping on the bed right now, which he moved into after his back gave up while sitting on the table.

Wearing comfortable clothes, Nicokel reached the garden and began jogging on the path made using tiles.

Though within minutes...

"Wheeze! Wheeze!" Nicokel breathed like he was almost grasping for life, but his feet did not stop. His body wobbled with exhaustion, he moved on using his sheer willpower.

'I thought I could make a round of the whole garden, but it's larger than I thought. I haven't covered even half of it yet.'

Nicokel pushed his body further, he didn't have any intention to stop at all. His muscles were wrecked to the point that he wondered if there were any in his body in the first place.

"Huff! Huff! Huff!!" Nicokel started breathing using his mouth at one point.

After a minute, he collapsed on his knees, his leg gave out.

'Is this my limit...? Not even five minutes...' Nicokel felt depressed thinking about his body's poor shape.

Big beads of sweat rolled down Nicokel's face, falling on the tiles.

The servants watching from a distance didn't know what to do. After hesitating for a while, they decided to just stay put.

After a few minutes, Nicokel got up and moved to the nearby fountain and sat there to rest up.

'Muscle training can wait, first I have to build stamina up. These clothes are not made for working out, they are sticking to my body like glue. They might tear quickly too because of all those intensive movements....'

Heading back to his room with languid steps and a totally exhausted expression, Nicokel took out a piece of paper from the drawer and began writing into it.

While he busied himself, the people who watched Nicokel return became pale.

"Did young master Gelen and Nicolen have another spar?" A knight asked his colleague with curiosity.

"Who knows? But...the result will always be the same anyway."

"Pfft! Right!"

A rumor made its way to the mansion unexpectedly. It quietened down just as quickly though.

....

After sending the letter to a familiar tailor through a servant, Nicokel sat at the food table in his room.

Nicokel's room was big, it contained a bed, food table, desk, and a showcase. There was a large distance between all of them too.

An appetizing fragrance wafted through the air.

'That chef is unexpectedly talented. He could make something like this with those limited listed items.'

A smile formed on Nicokel's face looking at the different dishes.

The perpheme mushroom: It can restore energy to the muscles within an hour.

Hermetis herbs: temporarily stimulate the body's fats, causing them to heat up which can lead to weight loss. Mild pain and stomach ache.

Juerin: A drug to increase mental power temporarily for five hours. It will cause a medium hangover at the end of the effect.

Lorelt ship meat: promotes muscle growth and strengthens it. Bland taste.

The other ingredients were mostly focused on developing the body — nutrients.

'This is my perfect infinite workout plan. I am already looking forward to its result.'
