Phoenix:
Ellie hung off my back, her tail curling around my waist. Kissing the nape of my neck, she adjusted her dress. Flipping into the air, she landed in my lap. Her ears tickled my cheeks, the freedom in her eyes made my heart flutter. Wondering where we were heading, he pointed to a worn path to the right. Guiding the cart in that direction, the trees grew thicker and then thinned out to a natural hot spring. Leaping off of my lips, she peeled off her dress in seconds. Scarlet painted my cheeks at her perfect hourglass figure, a splash of water hitting my boots with her graceful landing. Melting into a puddle, she leaned on the shore. Flashing me a bright smile, her finger beckoned me in.
"Come on in. It will be a while until the next town." She teased playfully, her ample breasts peeking out of the water. "I don't want to bathe alone." Stepping out of the water, her slender fingers undid my buttons one by one. My breath hitched, her natural beauty stealing it all away. The orange rays of the morning sun painted her delicate features, my clothes dropping to the loose dirt. Taking me into the water, my eyes couldn't leave her loving gaze. Stepping into the water, the instant warmth relaxed my muscles. Sitting down close to the shore, she splashed onto my lap. Wrapping her arms around my neck, her lips pressed against mine passionately. Time stopped, the sound of our heart beats echoed in our ears. Releasing me from her spell, her ears pinned back. Uncertainty mixed with self doubt, her hands rubbing my stiff cock. I thought we were going to wait, my lips parting in protest.
"I am so sick of the pain. I wish you could take me now." She whined seductively, her hips grinding against me. Blushing a deep crimson, my hands slid down to her slender waist. She wasn't lying, her fever wouldn't leave now. Silent tears of pain stained her cheeks nonstop, her service smile never leaving during business hours. She was at the peak of it all, her thighs rubbing together. Sitting her on the nearest ledge, a wicked grin danced across my lips. Sucking on her clit, short gasps flooded from her lips. Grasping the rocky ledge, her claws threatened to break it. Sliding in my fingers, purrs rumbled in her throat. Watching the feverish blush on her cheek turned me on, my goal was to make her first time having sex as magical as mine was.
"This feels great." She moaned lustfully between purrs, her face was inches from mine. "Can you take my virginity?" Pulling her down, her legs wrapped around my waist. Biting my neck lightly, a wave of euphoria crashed over me. Why did that feel so great? Grinning in a goofy daze, water splashed as she leaned onto the shore. Wagging her ass in face, her dripping had turned into a flood. Lining myself, her fangs chewed on her lips. Glancing back at me, a hungry look met mine.
"Are you sure about this?" I asked politely, my mind falling on the fact the last woman I had slept with was at least a thousand years ago. "I don't want to hurt y-" Shoving me in, blood stained the water. Grinding her hips against mine, pleasure mixed with shock at her eagerness. Moving my hips with hers, her name burst from my lips. Unable to control myself, I flipped her over. Lifting her up and down, the relaxed expression on her face told me that she was having fun. You see, her usual expression was a pensive but thoughtful look. Her legs wrapping around my waist snapped my attention, lips kissed mine roughly. Her tongue danced with mine, the damn cat demon keeping me trapped in her mouth. Moving our hips faster, my hot seed filled her up. Collapsing into my arms, her euphoric expression drifted into one of a deep slumber. Carrying her to the cart, I hummed to myself as I dried her off. An orange glow in her stomach caught my attention, a single heartbeat thumped rapidly. Tears welled up in my eyes, my wife was carrying my child. Pausing for a moment, it took several attempts to press my palms against her warm stomach. Visions of joy flashed in my mind, the glow dying down. Sitting back on my haunches, her anxiety was going to go through the roof. Massaging my forehead, I needed to get her into bed to sleep everything off. Tugging on her dress, the thought of getting new clothes intruded my thoughts for a second. Shaking my head, she needed to get some rest. Brushing her hair, I twisted it into thick pigtails. Tucking her into our makeshift bed, strange noises caught my eyes. Gathering my clothes, one silent spell led to a cloaking spell over our cart. An orange demon cat limped in with a broken leg, a pack of shadow wolves surrounding the poor thing. Golden cat eyes met mine, inky blood soaked its ivory fur collar and its end of the tail. Leaping out from my hiding spot, one swing of my scaly blade cut all down with my flames burning in the aftermath. Manipulating the water to put them out, the cat limped over to me. Meowing quietly, an eager Ellie landed in front of me. Scooping it up, her touch healed the cat instantly. Tears of joy flooded from her eyes, the two of them snuggling together. Apparently, the two knew each other.
"Flames, I am so glad I found you. Bad boy for running away." She chastised with a quivering smile, her lips kissing him feverishly. "I don't care. You are back in my arms. I love you lots." A long sigh flowed from Flames' lips, his paw stopping her. Narrowed eyes met her goofy grin, his tail twitching irritably. The attitude on this cat was entertaining, a quiet laugh rumbling in my throat.
"I get I am cute but I have found some information for you." He growled through gritted teeth, his stern gaze falling on her. "Your brother is looking for you and he's pissed beyond belief. Do you want his place when you defeat h-" Putting her finger up in the air, a wicked grin shifted her gentle expression to a dark one. Dangling him over the hot springs, wicked laughter rumbled in her throat. Raising my hand in protest, any word against her at this moment would result in a fight between us.
"Now why the Hell would I want that? He is the false king. I would much rather choose to free the real king than do that. Just drop it. I am not worthy of that position and you know it. You know what. Time for a bath." Throwing him into the hot springs, her arms folded across her chest. Flames hissed onto the beach, his wet fur dripping. The two of them circled each other, hateful tension brewing between them.
"You make an amazing queen and you know it!" He hissed venomously, shaking the water off. "Your father gifted me to guide you in the right direction and now you are pregnant. How are you going to do anything in that condition?" Watching with a clenched jaw, their relationship was fiery at best. Sinking to her knees, her hands cupped her ears. Flames slapped her with his paw, Ellie ignoring him on purpose. Badgering her endlessly, she turned her back towards him. Silent tears stained her cheeks, her claws scratching the sides of her head. Her temper was slowly mixing with her inner panic, a death glare meeting Flames. Too much was going on, the pressure building to an honest outburst.
"Shut the fuck up!" She shouted brokenly, feeling the flood dripping down her face. "I just want to be free, not in charge of everything. If my village still existed the case would be different but this place has a real king." Shaking off the water again, he hopped onto her lap. One touch healed her wounds, his paws cupping his face. His eyes softened with sorrow, his tiny nose scrunching up.
"I am your guardian familiar and I need you to listen with your little kitty ears." He comforted her in a way that I couldn't understand, her wet eyes falling on the mostly dry cat. "You will be a good mother, I can assure you that. The real king is dead along with the rest of his family. I was gone for a while because I had to make sure. Then some lady adopted me and fed me the worst food ever. Needless to say, I am happy to be with you, master." Tapping her chin, her dainty hands placed him on her shoulders. Struggling to come up with a compromise, the need to be free wasn't a foreign concept to me. Hell, I have been running for years.
"I will start a council with me as the leader if that is a good compromise." She suggested simply, Flames sticking out his paw. "I simply desire that everyone has a voice. Is that fine with you?" Taking his paw, a rough lick made her shudder. Beginning to clean himself, her brow cocked with an impatient energy. Pausing for a moment, Flames let out a long exhausted breath. What was this relationship?
"Fine, but you really should be in charge." He agreed begrudgingly, his eyes rolling. "A crown was always in your future." Rolling her eyes, she folded her arms across her chest. Laying on her back, a huff left her lips. Gazing up at the blue skies, her fingers reaching for the forbidden rays. Flames bounced up her chest, his furry face inches from hers. Waiting with bated breath for her next reaction, her next words made me smile to myself.
"You're blocking the sun." She protested with her real smile, holding him in the air. "I don't know if you understand it. Freedom is something to be valued. Remember we were enslaved not that long ago, you grumpy old cat. Let's go. I would like to make it to the next town as soon as possible. I can't wait to serve more customers." Popping to her feet, my crooked grin refused to leave as she tugged on the corset belt. Throwing on her cloak, she spun around. Leaning forward, her bright smile illuminated her features. Tucking her magical ax into her belt, my heart skipped a beat with every spin towards me. Cupping my face, her lips pressed against mine hungrily, her legs wrapping around my waist. My cock stiffened, a deep red coloring my cheek. Breathing in her scent, my muscles relaxed. Watching her tail wag a mile a minute, it took everything for me not to take her at that very moment. Were cat demons always so affectionate? Getting onto the bench with her holding me, she plopped down next to me. Humming to herself, her hands crossed. Midnight trotted towards the next town, her pensive brooding expression returned. Resting her head on her hands, her eyes scanned the road for danger. Refusing to hold her stomach, Flames chose to rest on her shoulders. Every passing hour caused more stress to wear on her face, her fingers scratched at the top of her hands. Was she always this nervous about change? The silence was deafening, the first sign of life dimmed her face further. Averting her eyes to the filthy cobblestone street, a festival was a day from starting. Noting the name of the festival, it all made sense. I had never associated the Cleansing Festival with her village burning down, inky drops dripping onto the wood capturing snapping me back to reality. Still scratching the tops of her hands, tears glistened in the orange flames illuminating the night. Pulling up to the wagon parking area she crawled into the back. Curling into a ball, violent sobs wracked her body. Hooking up Midnight in the stall, she barely responded the moment I pulled her into a warm embrace. Burying her head into my shoulder, her emotions soaked my jacket. Tears welled up in my eyes, the monstrosity of this festival rearing its ugly face. The whole kingdom celebrated it without realizing how wrong it was. Sitting up straight, her trembling fingers wiped her tears away. Hopping out of the wagon, her boots hit the cobblestone.
"They built this town on the remains of my village. Can you come with me? I have someone to talk to." She mumbled with her hands in her pockets, Flames walking next to her. "I don't want to be alone ever again. You provide that much for me, Fireboy. We will be slammed tomorrow after all." All my breath left my body at my nickname, her hand reaching for mine. Accepting it cautiously, one snap of my fingers locked our wagon with a magical spell. Death glares watched her walk through the town to a hill covered with fire lilies. Picking one, her finger traced the petals shaped like flames. The bright red and oranges tantalized me, a sad smile dawned on her lips.
"These bloomed the moment the fire died down our homes. They only bloom when any reaper's blood soaks the ground. You can pluck them out but they grow back. The land will forever be stained with their sins." She wept softly, kissing the flower. "That is now what I want to show you." Dragging me to a sea of hastily carved stones, she sat in front of the biggest stone. Tracing the name Argon, her other hand laid the flower down. A smoky gray tainted her aura, her deep seeded depression planting itself. The roots were so big now that they couldn't just be ripped out, a shadow of doubt draping itself over her shoulders.
"Good evening, Father. I dropped by to say hello." She babbled through a wall of tears, her fingers wiping her tears away. "I miss you every day. You always took care of me. I have great news. I am going to have a baby and I am married to Phoenix, the Dragon Lord. All I can think of is the words you always said. Find the flames in your life. I suppose I took that one a little too much on the nose. I promise you that I love him with all of my heart. I think I love him as much as you loved mom. That is all I wanted to say. Until the next time, Father." Rising to her feet, her words stole my breath away. Yanking her into a loving embrace, a sudden gust blew the fiery petals into the air. Blowing her hair out of her pigtails, her waves floating up. My heart fluttered at her beauty in the rare moment, the petals emphasizing her delicate features. Feeling her hands on my arms caused a wave of warmth to wash over me. The cracks showed through her sad smile, her mental state crumbling away slightly.
"Do you love me?" She asked softly, her eyes refusing to meet mine. "Do you really want to have a family with me or are you only doing this because I forced you to? You can leave me if you w-" Kissing her sweetly, her arms dropped to her sides. Ellie had nothing to worry about, her fears having no merit. Cupping her cheek, she snuggled into my palm. Wet eyes met my loving gaze, a crimson painted my cheeks. Did she know what she did to me?
"I love you, Ellie. I wouldn't trade our life for anything in the world. Might I suggest you name our child after him Argon if he is a boy?" I assured her affectionately, kissing the top of her head. "I only want you to be happy." Paralyzed in her spot, a nervous smile twitched on her lips. Plucking a flower from the ground, a tender blush rose to her cheeks as I tucked it into her ear. Nudging my shoulder, her real smile brightened her features. Stuck on the way her fang hung over the lip just right, true joy sparkled in her eyes only in these moments. Her words snapped me back to reality, a touch on my shoulder snapped me back to reality.
"Where did you go?" She chirped cheerfully, tucking a piece of hair behind her other ear. "I will cherish this flower forever. Thank you." Smiling even bigger, she dragged me back to the market. Ignoring the slurs, hurt dimmed her eyes. A quiet rage simmered in my eyes, her hand clasping mine stopping me from losing my temper. Her wedding band glinted in the moonlight, a serenity washing over me.
"Don't worry about it." She choked out with her signature bright smile, picking out a bag of various vegetables. "I want to get back to the wagon to make us some dinner, 'kay." Moving onto the next one, her free hand never let go. The ruder people got, her body trembled more. Shutting me down every time, Ellie didn't deserve any of this. The walk back to our wagon was filled with painful silence, the discreet distress hiding underneath the twinkle in her eyes. Tying her hair up into a ponytail with her silk scarf, salty tears splashed against the counter.
"We can leave tonight after dinner if you want." I offered cautiously, Ellie clutching her hand to her chest. "You don't deserve that treatment. This whole festival is poisonous. You guys aren't like that." Laughing off her anxiety, she cupped my hands together. Her bangs floated up from the impact, a determined smile curled on her defiant face. Stunned by her strength, my resolve wasn't close to hers.
"If I keep running from all of that then they win. I am going to do my best to win them over tomorrow." She announced with her hands on her hips, and a fire in her eyes. "We have a simple misunderstanding, that is all. I can wow them with my cooking. We used to get along with the town until Tiger started torturing everyone, relationships strained. My idiot brother murdered the mayor's son. They burned down our village in response and slaughtered everyone but a handful of survivors. Now they hate us. The whole kingdom hates us. Such is life. I have hopes that I can make it up to them." Leaning on the counter, the wonderful smell of reaper style food filled the air. A knock interrupted the moment, Ellie leaving the food to simmer. A polite pleasantness haunted her strained tone, her hand rubbing the back of her neck. Helping an elderly man into the wagon, one whiff of the air made him grin ear to ear. Helping the short man onto a stool, his cloudy eyes fell on me. Examining his wrinkles, they told a tale of a life well lived. His worn leather suit spoke of a hardworking man at the last chapter of his life, Ellie focusing on the food.
"I am glad to see you are doing well, Mr. Sands." She chimed gleefully, stirring the stew. "How is your family doing?" The shadow of death had his hand on his shoulders, Ellie unable to stop glancing back at it every now and then. A different depression haunted her eyes, the ladle shaking in her hands. Clearing his throat, Mr. Sands pulled out a box. A silent understanding rested between them, the two of them frozen in time for a second.
"I couldn't stand how they were treating you in town today. You reapers paid the price for one bad seed's action. I am glad you are alive and well. You remind me so much of your father. I came because I need a favor." He paused calmly, tears welling up in his eyes. "I need a reaper to take me to the next life. The survivors do it all the time but I wanted you specifically. I still remember the little girl who would run into the bakery. Then it became more than that when I started to teach you how to cook. You caught on quickly and became better than me. The soft spot I had for you hasn't gone away. Can you do that for me?" Setting a bowl of stew in front of him, the poor man couldn't pick up the spoon. Setting one in front of me, she began to feed the feeble man. Such tenderness only rested in the rare ones with a golden heart, her compassion knowing no bounds.
"If that is your wish, I suppose my cooking would be your perfect last meal." She answered with a broken smile, the old man enjoying his meal. "What do you want me to do with your body after?" Setting the spoon down, only a delicious broth remained. Gulping it down, her fingers curled around the ax hanging off of her belt. Extending into its scythe form, she got on her knees. Laying his head on her lap, his last breath was growing near. Fighting her tears, his last request flooded from his lips.
"Bury me on the hill with those pretty flowers. I always thought that they were as beautiful as you, Little Kitty." He wheezed, her fingers wiping away her tears. "My family disowned me after I chose to support you guys. Don't worry about them. I thought you were like a daughter to me anyways. I love you, Little Kitty." Taking his last breath, a peaceful smile lit up his face. Closing his eyes, she scooped him up. Hiding him in her arms, her kind gaze fell on me. The events of today wore on her exhausted features, the glimmer of hope keeping the light in her eyes.
"I realize that I told you to never leave my side but this will be the one exception." She sighed with a mixture of happiness and sadness. "Could you get prepared for tomorrow evening? I hope to have a good night and it's okay if we don't." Hopping onto the street, orange ribbons swirled around her. Stealing her away, I knew to honor her wishes.
