Maxwell stood outside the door of the room where his wife was giving birth to their first child. Beside him stood his older brother, Luke, who was just looking at him as if he was a joker. Luke said, "Calm down, everything will go smoothly. Why are you so impatient? It's nothing to get excited about. Nothing will happen to her with the doctors and mages around."
I replied to him, "Shut up, you fool. Neither you are married nor you are a father. How can you educate me? First, get married, have a child, then you will have the right to reprimand me. Shut up."
My breathing instantly took effect as Luke shut up, muttering beneath his breath. I didn't care.
We waited for four hours, after which the doctor came out and said, "Everything is okay, my Lord. It's a boy. Please come in and see."
Listening to the doctor, I composed myself and went in to see my wife sleeping while the child lay beside her. Luke followed me in to take a look.
I walked up to my baby, held him up above my head, and looked at his features. The baby had black hair and golden brown eyes. He looked like a carbon copy of myself. I thought to myself, "You are my firstborn, the first seed of myself. I shall call you Falkor, which means 'never ending' and 'good luck,' as you will be the symbol of my never-ending glory and prestige, and the good luck passed on to you from your mother's bloodline."
Seeing me hold up the baby, everybody looked at me. I looked at them and announced, "From today onwards, this child should be known as Falkor Dragonheart, symbolizing the never-ending glory and good luck of the dragon heritage."
Everybody looked at me in shock, finding the name I gave my firstborn son very dominating. After that, I laid the baby next to his mother and went out with my brother Luke. It was time for both the mother and the child to rest after the necessary work that needed to be done.
I came to the concentration chamber and sat down, asking the system to show me the stats of my child.
Name: Falkor Dragonheart
Bloodline: 8 strands of dragon blood. The dragon blood had a mutation due to the bloodline of his mother and turned into the bloodline of the legendary dragon Falkor the Never Ending.
Seeing the system's response, I was shocked and excited. I had just named him Falkor, but I never thought that he would have the bloodline of the specific dragon named Falkor the Never Ending. I asked the system for details about Falkor the Never Ending if it could provide them.
The system explained, "Falkor is a legendary dragon, one of the longest dragons in existence. It is so long that some say it is never ending, as no one has seen its tail end for a long time. It is also seen as the bringer of good luck or the epitome of good luck, as its journey to become a dragon god was very smooth, and it was always lucky in its encounters. Falkor is seen as a dragon of good luck."
Hearing the system, I laughed out loud. This meant my child had a bloodline from a very strong dragon, though it was impure. My goal was to purify his bloodline slowly and steadily, and the good luck it brought would help him. But now, getting to more serious matters, I asked the system about my reward.
The system replied, "As the user has spread his bloodline and the talent is exceptional, the system has decided to upgrade your bloodline to the next level. But for that, a specific bloodline route needs to be chosen, so a random lottery will be conducted. Are you willing to accept this arrangement? Say yes or no."
"Yes," I replied.
As soon as I said yes, a spinning wheel appeared in front of me. It had many types of bloodlines written on it, divided into different categories like common, uncommon, rare, legendary, and unique. In the common bloodline, there were red dragons, blue dragons, earth dragons, generally dragons with specific elemental affinities. In the uncommon category, there were poison dragons, black dragons, silver dragons, bronze dragons. In the rare category, there were golden dragons, thunder dragons. In the legendary category, there were some dragons with specific concepts or obligations of reality, like young dragons, time dragons, power dragons. As for the unique, there was only one option available: the illusion dragon.
I asked the system why only one option was available in the unique column.
The system explained, "As a unique dragon, the illusion dragon can only one can exist in one universe. In this universe, all other types of unique dragons have already been fulfilled, so only the illusion dragon remains in the unique dragon catalogue."
I was pretty excited about it, but I also remained quite rational. I didn't think I would get the unique class, and even if I did, the journey to improve my bloodlines would be very tough. I was hoping to get something from the rare or legendary categories and become strong. After that, I could think of a way to reach Godhood or just spread my bloodline, hoping that one of my kids would become God and help me. I said to myself, "I have the second life to chill. I'm not interested in working hard, man."
After that, I asked the system to start the spin. As soon as my response was heard, the wheel started spinning.
